I think this laptop is very solid. It should suffice most people. It has a great display with vibrant colors. I don't know if I liked the sound but perhaps I cant expect too much from laptops. The electronic numpad was a cool gimmick and was nice to show off. I think on sale, this is a good deal except if you're the type to have over 50+ tabs all the time. It feels sluggish but this isn't the laptops fault.

THIS… Is the Asus Zenbook 14.5” 2.8k oled laptop, and while the name might be quite underwhelming… this Zenbook is quite possibly the best all around entertainment laptop I have ever touched… and it isn't even $1000. Amazing oled screen? Yes. Harman/Kardon Speakers? Yep! Intel i5? Absolutely! With a lot of really good pieces stacking up, lets take a look and see if Asus created one of the best entertainment laptops on the market! Screen —————— Asus came out strictly business with a touchscreen 2.8k OLED screen that is also 120hz. It is also Pantone validated and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut meaning that this panel can replicate almost any color with great accuracy! This laptop is also HDR 500 True Black certified and TUV certified meaning it has an at least 70% reduction in blue light emissions. Oh… it also has a .2ms screen response time. It did not say if this was G2G or just on the pixel, but I would assume this to be just the pixel response time. The screen is a gloss finish which is great for watching videos and immersion vs a matt finish, however, it will glare and show fingerprints worse… so that is something to keep in mind but was never a big deal to me when I was testing it. Speakers —————— Asus really surprised me with the Harmon/Kardon with Dolby Atmos speakers on this laptop as I am blown away. The speakers are Macbook level at a lower price, I mean this is truly a great laptop speaker in an era where most laptops ship with woopie cushions for speakers. I listen to a lot of edm and even there the bass wasn't lost. One thing I would like to note, however, is that the sound carries out through the chassis. So there will be a slight vibration at higher volume levels which I personally really enjoy. The speakers get more than loud enough and also are really well adjustable in the settings as well which I really enjoyed, adding another notch in this beastly entertainment laptop. Keyboard —————— The keyboard is actually really nice, it has a decent but of travel and a nice soft click to satisfy the ear after each press. It is quite a casual backlit keyboard that was never too much of anything other than comfortable and predictable. I never once felt heat through the keys, however, they do show grease stains somewhat easy. The backlit keyboard has a feature built in through asus software suite that will auto dim it and brighten it based on the room you are in which is super cool! The laptop has a number pad built into the trackpad that you can turn on and use. I find that it works well, I just never go out of my way to use it. Overall, I really enjoy this keyboard! Battery Life —————— This has been one of my favorite parts about this laptop… it never dies! I have been getting 7-9 hours easily! Now when I was gaming on it lightly it took a hit, and to be able to turn it into its ‘gaming mode’ it has to be plugged in. That being said, for day to day task, entertainment and more… battery life was never a worry for me at any point in time! Performance —————— For your day to day task this laptop will absolutely never sweat a drop. From surfing the web to Netflix to light gaming/editing this laptop didn’t have much of a struggle. That being said, this laptop is an i5-13500H with integrated graphics only so we can’t do anything graphically demanding. I was never limited by the 8gb of ram as it runs at 4800mhz, however, I would have liked to see it be expandable. At this price point, though, I think this laptop is still doing good on performance and outperforms my surface which is $300 more! Design —————— This Zenbook is made really well, with no flex in the chassis and only a slight flex in the screen. I would say the weak point here is that there is a slight wobble to the screen when using it as a touchscreen. I always grab the back of the screen to aid in reducing this and it overall feels more comfortable. The Zenbooks housing is made out of a really nice plastic and almost had me fooled as a metal, the keyboard facing side has a slight texture to it that I really enjoy resting my hands on as I type. I really find this to be a sleek looking laptop and it is built quite well for this price point as well. Ports —————— This laptop comes with more than what you would expect, but the perfect amount to be an entertainment powerhouse. It comes with one HDMI 2.1, two thunderbolt 4 type c ports and a headphone jack all on the right side of the laptop! You also have your led indicators for your battery status. On the left side of the laptop we will find the only USB 3.2 type A. This is one of my biggest gripes is that they didn’t put a Type C on both sides of the laptop for the simple fact that I don't want to have to drag the charging cable around to the other side of the laptop. Camera —————— The camera on this laptop is good, not great. It is enough to get by on zoom and not look like a smoothed out potato. I think for any necessary laptop usage it will pass but the 1080p camera isn’t built to make you look better. Issues/longevity —————— I only had a few gripes about this laptop, the largest one being that it only has one m.2 slot so you can’t expand the storage. I assume this is due to the fact that this is a thin and light, and that on higher trims you can have a GPU so that takes room on the motherboard where a m.2 storage could go. I don’t like that the storage isn't expandable, however, I understand that they also have a product lineup that they would like to upsell you on. I really see this as a great long term laptop as it has everything you could need, and the back of the computer comes off easy. Everything is presented and easily replaceable should you need to. Conclusion —————— The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED is a great all-around entertainment laptop that is priced under $1000. It has a beautiful 2.8K OLED display, Harman/Kardon speakers, an Intel i5 processor, and long battery life. The keyboard is comfortable to type on, the design is sleek, and the ports are plentiful. The only downside is that the storage is not expandable. Overall, the Zenbook is a great value for the price and is a great choice for anyone looking for a new multipurpose laptop while not lugging around a massive laptop or a larger bill. As always, Bestbuy has excellent customer service and return policy, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like… so why not test it out?!

I've been looking for an ultralight laptop to use while traveling, and was excited for the opportunity to try this Zenbook 2.8K OLED. Fitting right in line with current trends, this laptop features a 16:10 ratio display, so it's a little taller than your standard 16:9, which is great for added screen real-estate while working browsing the internet, and the display is absolutely the star of this laptop. It's drop-dead gorgeous, with 2880x1800 pixels packed into fourteen and a half inches. Being OLED, it lacks any of the backlight bleed or IPS glow problems inherent to LCD screens and features true blacks, and HDR content looks absolutely beautiful. Unlike a lot of laptop screens, this one is glossy, so if you're in a place with a lot of light sources, you may find yourself combating reflections. The 550 nits of peak brightness can help to overcome that, and also allows you to use the laptop outside without it feeling dim. The rest of the laptop specs are fine for general use and media consumption. The i5 13500H is speedy enough for most tasks you can throw at it, and 8GB RAM, while somewhat low these days, still manages to be enough to keep the machine running at a crisp pace even while multitasking. The memory is not upgradable, however, so if you think you'll be wanting more, you're better off moving a step up with this model and getting the 16GB version. 512GB of storage space should be plenty for most users, but if you decide you want to upgrade, be aware that there's only one M.2 slot, so you'll be replacing what you have, not adding to it. The build quality of this laptop is fantastic, with all metal construction. The hinges feel solid, yet move smoothly, and the screen has very little flex. The white-illuminated keyboard feels great to type on and also has very little flex. The touchpad feels fine, though glass would be nicer. It has a neat feature that functionally turns it into a numpad, you can also swipe right at the top to open the calculator, which is a nearly useless but still interesting feature. At a little over 3 lbs, it's extremely portable. The included charger supplies 90W of power via USB-C and is also compact and lightweight. You could easily power the laptop on the go with a quality battery pack with enough Power Delivery wattage. The audio on this, with it's Harmon/Kardon speakers and Atmos support, is absolutely the best I've ever heard from a laptop and combined with the screen makes for a great experience with watching video on the go. It gets loud without much of anything in the way of distortion. The cooling on the machine is fine for general use. When I put the system under heavy benchmarking load, however, minor thermal throttling was noticed. It's unlikely that you'll ever encounter that sort of load in real-world situations. The CPU performed over 1000 points better than the average in CPUMark, so Asus is doing something right, here. The built-in webcam is 1080p and features an IR sensor, so it'll work with Windows Hello. It's good enough for your Zoom/Teams meetings, but it's not particularly standout in terms of quality. The microphone is solid and does it's job well. This particular mode has no 3D graphics capability to speak of, and will not play anything more graphically intensive than 2D indie games, but man, do they look fantastic on it. I spent a few hours playing Hollow Knight and it was a great experience. I know I'm probably starting to sound like a broken record, but it bears repeating just how great the screen on this laptop is. If you're looking for a laptop for general work and entertainment use, you can't go wrong with this Zenbook.

The Asus Zenbook 14X OLED is a fantastic laptop that offers speed, precision, and a compact profile. This particular laptop has the Inkwell Gray color scheme and looks very upscale. Picking up this machine you'll easily realize the lightweight 3.48lbs weight, along with the 14.5" screen size. The screen on this laptop is a beautiful OLED screen with touch screen capability, 16:10 2.8K OLED HDR. The colors and visuals truly pop and are precise for accuracy with the Pantone Validated 550-nit screen. Internally this laptop is running Windows 11, powered by a 13th generation Intel Core i5, 8GB high bandwidth RAM, and a 512GB SSD. On the left side of the computer body you'll get 1 USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, along with ventilation for the Asus IceCool cooling system which allows for Whisper, Standard, and Performance modes. I truly am impressed by this laptop and how efficient it operates. Stays very cool to the touch on the bottom and side of the machine while sitting in my lap, and can barely hear it when turned on. Also on the right side of the computer body you'll have access to 1 HDMI output port, 2 USB Type C charging ports, and a headphone jack. The charging brick that is supplied with this Asus Zenbook 14X OLED is also going to use the USB Type C charging port of those that are available. As for performance, I've felt that this machine is fast and efficient. I am easily jumping from task to task and program to program quickly. The Windows 11 software and the internals of this laptop work hand in hand. This is my first laptop with Windows Hello and I'm loving that Asus offers this form of login ID and it's been working effectively so far. The FHD IR Camera is quick and responsive and allows me to access my laptop quickly. The front facing camera is also a 1080p camera and the clarity is very nice so far for my Zoom calls for work. Dolby Atmos sound on this laptop paired with the harmon/kardon speakers is a fantastic audio experience. Watched and streamed various content online and could hear the sound moving around me. The batter is a long lasting 70Wh battery that could get about 10 hours of battery life on the lowest settings. The fast charge capability of this computer is a real blessing for when you need to charge up and be on the move. A 120 Hz motion clarity screen is real game changer for this laptop since everything you do and watch on here feels more fluid with the OLED display. And there is another cool feature which allows a number keypad to illuminate within your mouse touchpad zone. The ErgoSense touchpad has a NumberPad virtual numeric keyboard which can be turned on and off as desired. This comes in handy for many data entry tasks I need to do for personal and work purposes since I have the keypad available. The illuminated keyboard on this Asus Zenbook is very nice to use in low light settings, and the keyboard keys allow for a comfortable key bounce when typing which feels fast and efficient. Asus also focused on eco friendly materials with the packaging of this computer, and that is an important issue they're addressing. I'm hoping that I don't ever drop my laptop, but I know that this machine has been tested to be US Military Grade certified. Overall, I am loving this laptop. It looks beautiful when closed up and when open. It's a fast machine that helps to accomplish my daily tasks very well, all while offering premium features.

The ASUS Zenbook Q410VA 14.5" OLED Laptop is a fantastic quality performer at a very affordable price. Everything about this laptop shouts "quality," from the protective boxing to the Corning Gorilla Glass covering on display. This Zenbook is a lightweight 3.3 lbs with a substantial feel. The top of the lid has a smooth Inkwell gray texture with artistic style lines and the ASUS Zenbook logo on one corner. It is smooth enough to pick up fingerprints yet has enough texture to grip. The lid is firmly attached and can extend a full 180 degrees. It can bounce a little when moving but is firm when typing. The backlit keyboard has a nice feel with enough throw for a touch typist. And the smooth ErgoSense touchpad includes a virtual backlit number keypad with adjustable brightness. The solid base has two rubber feet toward the front and a single wide rubber lift toward the back. Air circulation vents are on one side and the back of the base. The real beauty of this laptop is the 14.5" Corning Gorilla Glass protected, 2880x1800 OLED HDR touchscreen display. A glossy brightness of 550 nits, a refresh of 120 Hz, and a response time of .2 ms make this an absolute pleasure to work on and watch videos. The sound quality and the sensory-enhancing Harman/Kardon Dolby Atmos speakers with a smart amplifier are impressive. Even though this laptop is not designed for gaming, I was able to install Microsoft's Flight Simulator, set the rendering mode to "low," and still had a pleasant experience. As seen from the Benchmarks below, this is not a hardcore graphics performer but provides a decent performance-to-price ratio. The included ASUS apps: MyASUS, ProArt Creator Hub, ScreenXpert, and GlideX, provide a wealth of configuration and productivity options for making this a significant workhorse. Summary It is evident that the ASUS Zenbook Q410VA is designed for traveling. It is the perfect laptop for working on the road and remotely. The Milspec rugged build, the lightweight, the camera/dual mic pairing, the beautiful OLED screen, and the quality sound system are great combinations for taking this on the road. This is not the laptop to get if you want to do gaming or intensive graphics. My only slight ding is the non-upgradeable 8GB of memory. However, the SDD is easy to upgrade from the default 512GB. If you're a road warrior, a remote worker, or a student, I highly recommend this feature-rich laptop from ASUS. Great basic laptop with one major flaw (for me)

Quick note: My actual rating is 4-1/2 stars but since I can't rate with 1/2 stars, I rounded up to 5. I’ll explain why I deducted a 1/2 star later. This is a really good laptop for the money. It has so many nice features. It is compact. It has an illuminated keyboard. It has a nifty trick touchpad that illuminates to also act as a number pad. The touchpad is very responsive and one of the best I’ve used. However, my favorite feature is the OLED screen. Not only is it very bright and sharp, it also has a 16:10 aspect ratio. This ratio is a little taller than the typical 16:9 ratio and works much better with productivity software that uses ribbon menus. It is my preferred ratio. As an added bonus, it’s also a touch screen (all the better to play solitaire with ;-). The fan(s) are quiet. I haven’t really heard them since I’ve started using this computer. It also runs fairly cool. I didn’t notice any “hot” spots when it’s in my lap, just warm spots. Battery life is good. As I type this, my battery is at 75% and the battery meter is saying I still have over 6 hours of runtime remaining. However, it fluctuates. Sometimes it says 6+ hours, sometimes it is 3+ hours, sometimes it’s in between. Additionally, Asus includes a setting in the MyAsus software called “Battery Care Mode”. This setting allows the battery to charge to a maximum of 80%. This should extend the life of the battery if you constantly keep the laptop plugged in like I do. Software wise, there are the typical manufacture’s utilities for updates, settings and maintenance. They also include free trials of MS Office, some McAffee software (yuck), and free offer for the Adobe Creative suite. I tried to sign up for the free Adobe software but there was an error and it told me to try again later. I kept trying but always got the same error. A day later, the offer disappeared from the MyAsus app. I am very disappointed about that. The basic specs are mostly very good. The 13th Gen Core i5 CPU is very quick and basically equal to the 12th Gen Core i7. The storage drive is a 512 GB Micron 2400 NVMe. It has QLC memory with midrange speed around 4,700 MB/s read (very good) and 1,800 MB/s write (good). QLC is not recommended for heavy use but is typically fine for general, home use PC’s. The graphics are integrated into the processor. These graphics are fine for web surfing, watching videos, typical office use and even basic CAD software. However, it won’t play modern games. This is not a laptop for gamers. The memory is quick LPDDR5 but it’s only 8gb. These days, 8gb is the absolute minimum I would recommend for a Windows 11 PC, especially one with integrated graphics that share system memory. A computer with 8gb of RAM is fine if you don’t do a lot of multitasking. It’s OK for basic home productivity software like MS Office or simple graphics programs. These basic tasks will typically use most of the available memory. Having MS Word and 8 tabs on a Chrome browser open on my PC used 84% of my available memory (6.4gb used of 7.6gb available). For any kind of serious work, 16gb is the minimum I use. It can make a huge difference. This brings me to my biggest issue with this laptop. The memory is not upgradable or replaceable. It is soldered to the motherboard. This laptop would be nearly perfect with a boost in RAM but the only way get that is to buy a version of this computer with that amount of memory. I’ve read the SSD is upgradeable, however, there is only one (1) NVMe slot. That means to increase the storage, it needs to be replaced. You cannot add a second drive. I deducted 1/2 a star for this lack of upgradeability. There are a few other minor quibbles. The screen wobbles a little when you use the touch screen. I can see the LEDs under the F keys. The OLED screen can have burn-in issues. Asus actually recommends hiding the taskbar to prevent burn-in. I prefer the taskbar to be visible, so this is a bit of an annoyance. There was also an issue with updating drivers through Windows update. I was able to use a windows troubleshooting (System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Windows Update) to fix this. Now the PC is working great. Would I recommend this laptop? Certainly… but to specific people. People that use memory intensive software (video editing, rendering, etc.) should step up to a laptop with more memory. People who want to play games will need a laptop with better, discrete graphics. However, for basic office, school or home use, this is a fantastic laptop and highly recommended.

I got the Asus Zenbook 14 laptop computer for general home use (Facebook, YouTube and other streaming services, and other web browsing for the most part; along with using Microsoft Office) and am happy to share this review: Starting with the case itself, it's very confidence inspiring. The hinges hold the screen position at any and every angle. The case doesn't feel "cheap" the way some laptops do. I like the design of the Zenbook, the markings on the top cover are subtle, but give it some visual interest. The feature that really stood out is how cool the case stayed even after hours and hours of heavy use, laying on my lap. It never even got warm, much less hot, which I can't say for many of my previous laptops that force me to use a pillow to keep my legs from getting burns. One of the stars of the show is the touchpad, which doubles as a numeric keypad! Double tap the symbol for the numeric pad in the top right corner of the touchpad to enable/disable the feature. I used the pad for entering the PIN number for logging into the computer, as well as in Excel, and it worked great. Much faster and easier than using the numbers on the keyboard. I used the Camera app within Windows 10 to test the webcam. The picture quality was decent, but not the mind blowing quality of the 4K videos I browed to test the graphics, so I wouldn't consider it a big positive or negative. Maybe it was just because the camera had me as the subject? Related to the camera though is a nice feature; there are function keys across the top of the keyboard for turning the webcam on and off, as well as the built in microphone; so it's nice to be able to use that to ensure your webcam and/or microphone aren't accidentally enabled. Screen brightness and clarity are top notch, 2880x1800 resolution (Are you kidding me? It's mind blowing!) makes for crisp text and downright stunning photos/videos. Watching 4k videos on YouTube, etc. are amazing. That resolution packed into a 14 inch screen is hands down the most photo-realistic image I have ever seen; tighter and brighter than even my 4K Samsung TV! Having moved to this 14 inch screen from the 15.3 inch screen on my previous laptop, I was expecting there to be a tradeoff, but no, quite the opposite! I consider the screen on the Asus Zenbook 14 to be its best feature. You see more, not less, as a result of the combination of resolution and zoom factor. For me, this is the new Gold Standard for laptop screen resolution and clarity. Sound is crisp even at full volume and plenty loud. This computer has speakers on both sides of the keyboard for good stereo separation. Even at high volume, it doesn't sound muddled or tinny, but as you can imagine, the bass response isn't overwhelming. The keyboard has a very nice feel and is easy to type quickly on, and is backlit (which you can turn off). I like the various function keys across the top for enabling/disabling various functions. The Zenbook has all of the connections I would expect, including a full size USB connection on the left side which was a pleasant surprise. On my previous Dell laptop, it only had the USB C connections so I had to use an adapter to connect my USB Flash Drive. The Zenbook also has 2 of those USB C connections, HDMI, and audio out. As far as performance goes, the Zenbook performed fine for everything I asked of it. I am not a gamer by any stretch, so I used UserBenchmark to give you objective scores: Gaming 18%, Desktop 67%, Workstation 19%. I was not surprised by this result, especially given the 8gb of RAM that comes standard. I am sure that if you added more, these numbers would improve. If you're an avid gamer, or an engineer doing 3D modeling, this isn't the laptop for you. The battery life right out of the box is great. As I write this, I have been using the computer and doing my tests for over 2 hours, and I'm still at 88% remaining. Overall, this Asus Zenbook is a definite keeper. At under a thousand bucks, this is an amazing machine, especially if one of your main uses is going to be video streaming. Give this to the kids to watch Disney Plus or Netflix on a long drive and you'll have enough battery life for a full day of driving, and the sound and video quality will keep them very happy. I give this computer an enthusiastic 5/5 stars. For the price point, I can't come up with any constructive criticism.

I really want to give this computer 6 stars but I can't, so I'm just gonna rave about it. I knew I would like it right as I was unboxing the laptop. When you lift up the box, the laptop actually propped up. At first, I thought I had done something wrong and might have ripped something, but on a closer look, I realized that it was meant to do that. Kinda like one of those pop up cards. LOL. Kudos to the person who designed the box, it was really cool. Like bam, here's your laptop. Haha. The unit comes with a small brick usb-c charger and after a quick charge, I started the set-up process. My review is mainly gonna be with form and function of this unit. As for the specs, you can see it in the description. First off, the set up took about 5 minutes. After all the basic settings, windows was able to download all my previous apps from my last laptop and that took about 10 minutes. First thing I noticed was the touchpad. I have never come across a touchpad with numeric keys that can be "pulled"(?) up. If you touch the upper right of the touchpad, the numeric keypad will appear. If you slide your finger on the top of the touchpad, it pulls up the calculator app. And here's what I thought was great sign to detail, the upper left touchpad is for brightness of the numeric pad. Wow. Speaking of brightness, the keyboard is lighted and well lit at that. Even in a lit room you can see that the keys are illuminated, but that also makes it a tad bright in a dark room. Not so bright that it's annoying but noticeable. And the keys themselves has a nice feel when using them. Actually very quiet and give a nice pressure even when typing fast. Keys where also spaced out perfectly imo and was very easy to type on. The touchscreen was very responsive and smooth. It never miss anything i was trying to press on the screen. And that screen, wow. So bright and crisp. Watching videos on it is an actually pleasure. For me, it was the best screen of any laptop I've ever owned. The laptop itself was very fast and responsive. When I use google maps and switch to terrain view, it gives me a good idea of how fast a computer can render the images. This laptop did it plenty fast. My last laptop would crash when I switched to real world view some times. Switching apps was fast with no glitches. After 45 minutes of different uses the laptop was warm on my lap but not hot. Battery level was at 84% with medium brightness and many tabs left open. The bottom of computer has a bar (?) that spans the length of most of the computer that raises the laptop about a 1/4 of an inch. That bar is near the front of the computer which gives it a downward tilt which I like when it's on a flat surface. It makes a comfortable angle for my hands but also gives air for the computer itself. Although, it is very noticeable when placed on your lap. The only thing I would have changed on this laptop is the placement of the speakers. There are 2 at the bottom of the left and right side. I prefer front facing speakers. It makes the sound muffled especially when on my lap or on the pillow that's on my lap. Other than this, I have to say this is one great laptop. And at this price point, it really is a no brainer. I will be telling every one about this one.

QUIRKY MIX OF LUXURY AND BUDGET

ASUS - ZENBOOK 14.5" 2.8K OLED LAPTOP - INTEL EVO PLATFORM - 13TH GEN CORE I5 PROCESSOR WITH 8GB MEMORY - 512GB SSD - INKWELL GRAY MODEL:Q410VA-EVO.I5512 QUIRKY MIX OF LUXURY AND BUDGET Despite some shortcomings, I like the ASUS ZENBOOK 14.5. It has a luxury looks and feel, and some robust components like the OLED Touch - Screen and fast CPU. It is lightweight and quiet / cool running. It has thunderbolt 4 ports for fast connectivity and charging. It has a secret numeric keypad hiding under the trackpad (illuminated). This all makes for a versatile all-around laptop that is great to use for every day tasks, and some light gaming up to 40FPS @ 1080p. I say quirky because, for example, it has a top-of-the-line 120hz OLED monitor suitable for gaming, and a very good performing 13th Generation CPU. And while the CPU has an integrated GPU, suitable for lite gaming, it won’t handle a heavy load without a dedicated GPU. The ZENBOOK has a middle of the road performing NVME solid state storage at only 512GB with relatively slow write speeds. This means it is not well suited for content creators. Fortunately, the drive can be upgraded (if you are brave enough) to something with more performance as it supports PCIe NVME M2 Drives Gen 4x4. The biggest letdown for me, is the hardwired, non-upgradable or expandable single memory slot with 8GB RAM. In my experience 8GB is the minimum suggested for most video intensive applications. Additionally, because the GPU shares the main memory, the laptop will continue to swap out to disk (virtual memory), which is where a drive with slow write speeds gets in the way. I did not crack the case open to triple check the RAM, but the ASUS specs clearly say 8GB RAM max. And other sources all say 8GB RAM. The case is held on with microscopic Torq screws. I don’t think they want you to open the case. This ZENBOOK could be ideal for the person who just needs a windows laptop to do everyday tasks like email, browse the web, watch some videos, run office applications, and so on. Maybe it is also good for a student who is not a gamer. However, other than the OLED screen, for such users there are more affordable options out there. I’m going to try to set this up for my wife to use with her crafting applications. She usually has tons of windows and tabs open, and is sometimes running medium graphic intensive applications. I think the 8GB of RAM will become an issue before too long (today she has 32GB in a much older system). The upcoming release of Windows 12, is rumored to require a MINIMUM of 8GB of RAM. Past history tells us that running anything at the MINIMUM is not a good idea for a pleasant user experience. I had just assumed that the memory could be upgraded, and I would drop another 8GB in there for dual channel 16GB of DDR RAM. SUMMARY This quirky equipped laptop is great for what it is. However, it will ever only be what it is today, with virtually no upgrade path. Being stuck at 8GB RAM is OK for today, but expect a limited shelf life as more applications require 16GB or more or RAM to run effectively. I give the ZENBOOK an also confusingly high rating for the overall quality of the monitor and CPU (what it is today). Just be warned about the 8GB limits.
