Easy 5 stars but would give it 4 because it has the potential of being the best selling laptop in the USA among students and even gamers. Let me cook. read till the end. Pros: Stunning High Quality OLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, decently lightweight, loud speakers (keep that in mind), Dolby Atmos Support, Can charge up to 80% to maximize battery lifespan Cons for me : speakers randomly blew out while listening. Cons: USB-C placement, maybe just me but both usb-c s are on the right side which is a no no, one has to be on the left for it to be even, speakers in low volume sound amazing but in highs, it sounds very cheap with no bass. No LTPO display for better battery life, for a laptop display with this pixel density and refresh rate , you expect it to be an LTPO (where the display can dynamically refresh from 1 hz to 120 hz without going into the settings. As seen on the iPhone 15 Pro max to save battery life . Mediocre Facial recognition system. dont get me wrong, i absolutely appreciate then facial recognition system but it isnt secure enough, when youre not looking directly at it, it still unlocks which is a flaw in my books. After a couple months, the laptop started to creak near the right speaker section which is weird but for the price you cant complain. Potential Redesign (My concept): Display: Add LTPO display to maximize battery life, Increase max brightness to atleast 650-800 nits of brightness and over 1000 nits in hdr content. Rounded edged display Improve facial recognition or go to fingerprints Remove HDMI port in favor for 4 usb c ports (include usbc to hdmi adapter in box title should just be "ZenBook" 4 speaker system that wont blow up randomly by harmon kardon with deep bass and surround sound. Solid State mouse for a more premium feel, and make the design look like a macbook but not too much to be sued, and more high quality materials. Should start at 999 for 1tb and i7 + 16gb DDR5 ram for this to probably be the best selling laptop in america, if its too expensive, make a cheaper laptop named "Zenbook Air" which will be the same like this but will miss a very bright display and LTPO as well as a solid state mouse. could be 749 for an i5 and 512gb ssd while still retaining 16gb ddr5. Want the extreme?? "Zenbook Pro" with an available i9 and rtx graphics card ( 4060 standard) but goes up to 165 hz while having the best battery life in its class. or having a 6 speaker system . starting at 1399. Well how about gamers? i would call it the "ROG Zenbook" which only has an i5 or i7 and starts from 999 all the way to over 1999. ill leave the rest to asus to develop, but for the casuals like me, i would absolutely recommend the zenbook if it was redesigned my way . Asus, you could make the best selling laptop with this specification if built right, it could even beat a macbook.

Love this laptop. Screen is vibrant, build is solid, battery works well. My only complaint is that since the speakers are on the bottom it doesn’t sound well unless it’s on an even surface.

This computer is very fast and responsive. The display is amazing. The battery life is also very good. If I had to say there was a con it would be the wifi card. Sometimes the wifi on this computer doesn't want to work. I have heard about this from other reviewers who have said they had replaced the wifi card with a new one to correct the problem. So I may have to try that. Otherwise it is a great laptop.

The laptop has a lot to like. The keyboard and touchpad are firm, and they are comfortable to use. The screen is great (resolution, brightness and colors). The processor/performance is snappy, and the sound isn't terrible (which is compliment for a non-Mac laptop). And, for what it's worth, the machine looks pretty darn cool and fun to use. Some minor dislikes include the Asus logo in the bottom bezel (find it distracting), the system being a tad heavier relative to its peers (though still quite thin and light, with solid build quality), and running warm despite its "IceCook" technology. However, the main reason for the 3 stars, and what has me on the fence on whether to keep it, is the battery life. If it were advertised as 5 hours, I would likely give the machine a 4, understanding this limitation. However, the website specs say it should last for over 10 hours, and I have no idea how that would work. With brightness below 50%, battery saver mode on, and all other options selected to optimise for battery life (some of which hamper the experience), I can't get over 6 hours. This is materially less than advertised, and battery life is a top criteria for me.

For the money on sale you can’t beat this value. This laptop is built sturdy and feels super premium in hand, maybe even on the heavy side which isn’t a bad thing. I would say this is just behind something like a HP spectre or Surface device but better than most laptops in the Windows space. Minimal bloatware, runs office programs super fast. The screen will blow you away, especially when you turn it up the 120hz refresh rate and scrolling through videos and webpages makes it look super slick. Colors pop on this thing and you really have to see how colorful and bright it is. Keyboard and track pad are good, track pad is a little stiff at times but passable. Speakers are very good, almost perfect but plenty loud and just lacking some bass that most won’t notice. Ports are mixed, the setup of one USB A on the left and 2 USB C’s with an HDMI on the right seems sort of cramped but it’s no biggie. Fan is super quiet on standard mode and I appreciate the ASUS customization options. Fans only kick on when something very intense is happening such as gaming or compiling video. Otherwise it’s near silent at all times and I’m usually sensitive to that sort of thing. Honestly this laptop is amazing for the price, most people will love this laptop for general use and office with some occasional esport games or older titles. The only real con is the battery life is just above average. Due to the screen components being high energy use, you’ll get around 5 to 7 hours on this bad boy before you’ll be looking for your charger. If this isn’t a deal breaker for you then you’ll really enjoy this awesome laptop from ASUS.

If I could, I would give it a 4.4 star. This is a notable improvement from 2022 model. The chasis can now be opened without removing adhesive feet on the bottom. At some point, I hope Intel & Asus will mean business even more than this. When you replace the M.2 drive which is simple and inviting using the PDF instructions that Asus provides... you can't install Windows without a straightforward but confusing and inconvenient file download that is not readily available directly on the ASUS website. Instead you have to run the file and EXTRACT the contents and it's just painful overall. I wish ASUS had the common courtesy of providing the necessary instructions and files for this to be dead simple. Overall, as I said, this is a big improvement despite the subtle changes. Last year the Ponder Blue was a fingerprint disaster. This Grey is much improved and it's getting to the point where progressive thinking IT departments could deploy this thing legitimately. That's not 1 laptop sale, that's 20+ laptop sales. Does not compare favorably to MacBooks unfortunately. Apple cripples their budget laptops (and even their expensive ones) because they can afford to. The ports, price, and expandable storage are all a huge win vs the MacBook Air but at the end of the day any Air from M1 base to 15" M2 is just going to drive better and be quiet and more enjoyable. Better keyboards etc. The 120Hz OLED is nice. You have to jump through hoops to get 10 bit enabled. Likewise for 120Hz, and yet it somehow isn't as nice as the 14" MacBook Pro (it's NOT close, it's way inferior) and I wish things were different. Overall, I like this laptop... it hits a pricepoint and price/features point that I really like.

The laptop has an amazing OLED display with a high resolution and high refresh rate, complemented with the great 13th Gen i7 processor that is powerful enough for any task you throw at it. The build quality is really good for its price, and it does not feel cheap. The aluminum body goes a long way for that. The keyboard and touchpad work well too. The battery life is above average, though personally I expected better. It lasts for around 6-7 hours on a full charge. Overall, a really good buy.

Probably the best value laptop on the market today. I got this on sale at an incredible price. Screen is superb, processor is ridiculously fast, keyboard is very comfortable and it's pretty light and portable. It supports fast charging too. The additional num pad on the bottom is a bonus. The only con here is the battery life due to the power hungry 45W intel chip and the OLED panel but it's a compromise I was willing to make. You'll get around 5-6 hours of mixed use.

Suspect Build Quality, Low Battery Life

Overall, this is a good laptop. However, there are some things to keep in mind when purchasing this product. One of them is that the battery life is terrible. On a full charge (100%) I barely get 3 hours of battery life. That's with brightness at 3/4 of the maximum capacity. The second is that the build quality is kind of suspect. Prior to this I had a MacBook Air and this laptop is very flimsy compared to that. I was used to putting my MacBook Air straight into my backpack without a laptop carrying case, and did the same for this laptop. Within two to three weeks, my screen cracked. Luckily, the crack is nearly invisible. I also wish there was a fingerprint reader somewhere on the keyboard, sometimes the Microsoft Face Recognition is a bit finicky. For the price I purchased this, $699, I am satisfied with my purchase.

I’ve been a Dell fan for deca… a while now. Love/hate relationship. I finally reached my limit of frustration with Dell laptops and began my search for something new (I will never buy another Dell). Enter the Zenbook, a laptop with which I was wholly unfamiliar. The size worried me a bit, being smaller than I was used to. That turned out to be a bonus! No more lugging around a heavy laptop. Lightweight, easy to carry. All laptops should be so portable. I use it more often just because it’s so portable. The OLED screen makes up for the smaller size if you work with Photoshop or art, as I do. I mean, it’s dazzling. Fast… I multitask for work, with several apps open at once and I need speed. Fast boot up, fast everything. This does it. No lag time. No more frustration. Other’s have gone into more detail about all the positives, so I won’t. Suffice it to say, I love my Zenbook more than any other laptop I’ve ever owned. Oh, one last thing… this is the cheapest laptop I’ve ever bought at just under one grand. Fathom that. Least I’ve ever spent on a laptop, and the most functional, best overall laptop I’ve ever used.

This is my second laptop and it is worth everything dollars. I'm impressed by how fast it runs. I'm even more satisfied with the autonomy, I like it that this laptop can automatically go to sleep and save battery after the set time. While at sleep, it doesn't use battery, it just doesn't consume battery if you don't use it. I went on a full without charging it and the battery was still where I left it. Get this one.

I love it. I’m very familiar with windows based computers and wanted to get a MacBook Air. The 15 inch one. Had it since it came out and i hated every single time i was on it. The trade in offer came up and i took it. Purchased this computer for 650 and had money left over from the trade. It is way better in every aspect. Battery, memory, speed, screen, typing, and it has a number pad.
