Pro: For the price this laptop is unbeatable. Great processor and 16 gb for under $1000! The screen is on a whole different level. The colors are amazing on it and the high refresh rate makes everything look buttery smooth. The build quality on it is incredible too. Very little flex in the keyboard and it feel really rigid. Keyboard is great too for a laptop. I have no complaints about the trackpad either. I'd switch from an XPS 13 and this was a giant improvement and it was cheaper.
Cons: Not too many. The battery life isn't great. I am getting about 7-8 with a normal load. ASUS has a Zenbook 15.6 with a AMD processor which is more efficiency. So if battery life is an issue get the ASUS Zenbook 15 OLED (UM3504).
Overall: This is the best laptop I've ever owned and for the price of under $1000 it smokes its competitors. If this was on sale I don't see any reason not to get it.

I don’t know if for the money you can get a better laptop. This laptop often goes on sale and thankfully mine did shortly after I purchased it and had it price matched. The OLED screen is beautiful, the build quality is amazing, and it is a very aesthetically pleasing laptop. The design is nice and slim and has a very clean look to it. I switched from a Mac wanting to go back to windows and I am so thankful that I did with this laptop. For the money, you are getting a better screen, processor, and more RAM than other competitors, mainly Macbooks. I put this thing through its paces, photo editing, video, working with it as an educator, and no matter what I throw at it, it handles it with ease. I really don’t think there’s another laptop I would recommend at this price point. Portability is great, performance is great, build quality is great, and it’s all at a reasonable price. Even a steal of a price I’d say honestly. 10/10 recommend.

Best non-gaming laptop

Best non-gaming laptop, especially after getting this for $300 off.
The screen's resolution is superb at 2.8K. I am coming from a macbook air M1, which also has a great screen.
This doesn't have a fingerprint scanner, but you got the better face-id-like security that uses IR so no problem unlocking in the dark.
13th gen i7 (evo platform), 16GB of ram, although no dedicated gpu, but this is powerful for my programming needs.
battery is very good for a windows computer. I get 5 hours or more of use with watching videos and creating documents and powerpoints.
The numeric keypad on the touchpad is very helpful when I do my spreadsheets.
The build quality is great. Asus has never disappointed me.
I am so happy for this to be a replacement for my M1 macbook air.

I really like this laptop! It has exactly the specs I wanted: 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD. The OLED screen looks amazing—its not necessary, but its sure nice to have. The battery life has been really good, so far—I get several hours of use before needing to charge. It also charges really fast. However, your mileage may vary, depending on how heavy your workload is—I’ve been usuing this laptop for everyday computing: web browsing, Excel work, etc. It is a touchscreen, and coming from a MacBook, that’ll take a little getting used to. The one minor drawback is the back: although it’s really pretty and really sleek, it does tend to attract fingerprints. But, a good microfiber cloth takes care of those easily. The typing experience has been really good. Its not a full mechanical keyboard, but it doesnt feel too mushy, either. Overall, it has good travel and a nice feel to it. I’m not sure how it would handle gaming—the graphics card is integrated, not discrete—but if you’re looking for a solid all-around machine that’s both functional snd stylish, this laptop is awesome!

Best purchase ever! I love everything about this computer. It’s not too heavy and it’s sleek, the keyboard makes a nice silent but still clickable noise. Perfect size and the oled screen is awesome. For anyone curious, I am able to run Sims 4 just fine as long as I turn the graphic settings down and turn on laptop mode.

I purchased this product a few days ago for my partner. It was on sale with $300 off the usual price. Its a wonderful PC and super fast. Just a couple of items to point out that could be important to some people. There is no graphics card as its onboard and you cant add any RAM to it. The 16 GB is soldered to the board. The I7 PC is super fast. The keyboard feels good and the case feela good too. Battery has been lasting well, though my partner doesnt push the PC and it spends much of its time only soing google docs or web browsering. Highly recommend it if you can get it wirh $300 off.

Great good quality laptop. Build quality is great, has 13th Gen Intel processor so CPU fan hardly turns on when Windows 11 power mode is set for battery life, CPU works pretty fast even in this power mode. Screen is oled and 120 Hz makes scrolling so smooth and easy on the eyes with best possible contrast and display quality. Only nit pick is, the laptop has sharp edges so not the most comfortable while picking up or holding, if Asus improves that, this laptop is an absolute no brainer. I also got the $200 discount offer when buying, sometimes it is discounted $300, keep an eye out for that. I have used the Asus utility software to set the battery to charge to a max of 80% which will lengthen battery life. This laptop will last a very long time, 4 to 5 years easily.

I purchased the Asus Zenbook 14x roughly 3 weeks ago now, and so far I've really enjoyed it. Here are some things that I'm happy with:
1) Performance: It's 99% as fast as my previous Dell XPS 15 9530 with the same processor and RAM. The Dell has a slightly better cooling system w/two fans, so I believe that allows to eke out a tad bit better CPU performance. It's not a noticeable difference by any means, but if you're going strictly by the benchmarks. But, of course, the Dell has much larger body to accommodate a two-fan cooling system.
2) Screen: There's a lot of praise for Asus' OLED screens, and it's completely justifiable. They're bright, color-saturated and plenty vivid. Everything looks crisp on these OLED screens, even scanned copies of old newspapers. The high refresh rate is nice to have, but I honestly have it turned off in favor of longer battery life. HDR videos truly pop once their displayed in full-screen. Fingerprint magnet-yes. Worth it-absolutely.
3)Size: I always felt that 15 inch laptops were too big, bulky and sometimes heavy for my everyday use. But 13-inchers were always too small. So finding a powerful laptop in the 14" range was great. This one is actually 14.5", due to it's taller screen shape.
4) Build quality is top-notch. I hate laptops whose keyboard tray moves up and down when pressed. I can thankfully say that this Zenbook laptop is very structurally solid with little to no bend or flex. I love that!
5) Touchpad is great. 100x better than on my Dell, which struggled with palm detection mightily. After you've had a bad touchpad experience, a good touchpad is worth its weight in gold.
6) USB-A is still present! Yes, I love having dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, but keep around a good ol' USB-A port for the legacy devices is just plain smart.
There are a few areas of improvement I'd make:
1) No SD card slot. I don't use them very often, but I do use them for bulk item backups (pictures and music).
2) Inconvenient power button sometimes gets hit when I'm reaching for the 'delete' button. I prefer if the power button is on the side or somewhere away from the keyboard.
3) Lots of Asus bloatware is included. Everything from screen tools and calibration apps to an app for connecting your phone (which is totally redundant given Microsoft's included My Phone app). It's just a lot...and most of it auto-starts when you boot the PC. Not cool.
Overall, I give the laptop high marks for being a powerful computer in a just-right size. The OLED screen really completes the package! If you're in the market for a do-everything laptop with few compromises, check this one out.

This fits what I've been looking for almost perfectly for a fair price. For starters, I've had 15-inch laptops that felt just a bit too large and a 13-inch that would make me miss the extra screen real estate. This 14.5-inch, with the 16:10 aspect ratio and thin sleek build, looks and feels like the perfect medium for me. Build quality is solid, and the design looks simple, yet crisp (fingerprint magnet though). The OLED display it beautiful, and I feel just that bit more at easy with the ASUS oled burn in prevention settings options. Battery life is nothing carzy, but I'll get tou through the day on the right settings, plust charging it exceptionally quick. Few cons: downward facing speakers means audio quality will take a hit if not sitting on a hard surface for the sound to bounce off. RAM is soldered, thus non-upgradable, which is always a con. Finally, the number pad in the track pad is neat, but gimmicky more than anything.

This is a solid laptop.
Display - it's oled, high resolution, but there is a slight graininess that is initially noticeable on bright white images before you get used to it. It's not an issue.
Fan noise - on the quiet fan profile, the fans are exceptionally quiet. It's fantastic. On the other levels, it's noticeable but not annoying (high pitched).
Battery life - it's okay not fantastic. Probably 5-6 hours with light use.
Build quality - it's a solid built laptop.
Speakers - these are bottom firing and as long as they are on a flat surface, they sound great. When not on a flat surface, they sound muddled & lacking treble.
Keyboard- solid keyboard typing experience.
Pen support - pen works great on here, no lag even under load.

Overall, I like it for the speed. The computer runs fast and is responsive. I don't feel a lag with some laptop opening apps. Fast start ups and works well. I like the size of the display, just perfect. Not too small where you have to squint and not too big where you feel it is not portable. The weight itself feels portable.
The two negatives is just the glossy display but only matters in direct sun light. The bottom has a spacer to keep the laptop from blocking the airflow. It does get very hot if the airflow gets blocked. Could be an issue if you like to place on top of bed where the airflow can be blocked.
Overall, great laptop in terms of speed and price.

Great laptop. Coming from a Dell XPS 13 I was a little skeptical about this Asus laptop. But after using it for 4 months now I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the build and of the OLED screen. Everything runs fast and the screen looks stunning. Keyboard is great to type on. Touchpad size if perfect and I love that it is still clickable. The laptop is also light and the 14.5" screen size is the perfect balance for both traveling and for desktop use.

ASUS did a great job with this laptop. Awesome OLED screen with great resolution, color gamut and high refresh rate. Very powerful and efficient Intel 13th gen processor. Adequate RAM and storage and beautiful sound from its harman kardon speakers. The fan is not too bad and stays mostly silent went doing light tasks. The integrated graphics card is quite good, I am able to play Rocket League at 100-120 fps! Of course, I have to lower the resolution to half (1440x900) but still looks great. And again, the Dolby Atmos sound coming from the laptop speakers when playing the game is awesome! Very happy with this purchase. At the sale price this is an unbeliable deal.
