A Game Changer for Productivity and Creativity! I cannot say enough good things about the Asus ZenBook Duo—I absolutely love it! This laptop is in a league of its own, and after using it, I can’t imagine going back to a traditional single-screen setup. Design & Build The dual-screen layout is not just a gimmick; it’s a productivity powerhouse. The ScreenPad Plus is a game-changer, allowing me to multitask like never before. Whether it’s dragging reference materials to the bottom screen, using it for video editing timelines, or just keeping a to-do list open while working, the extra real estate makes everything seamless and intuitive. The build quality is premium—solid, sleek, and lightweight enough to carry around without feeling bulky. The hinge design is smart, slightly elevating the secondary screen for better visibility and usability. Performance With its powerful processor, ample RAM, and ultra-responsive SSD, the ZenBook Duo flies through tasks. Whether I’m managing complex project workflows, designing visuals, or simply running multiple applications at once, it handles everything effortlessly. Display & Touch Experience Both screens are gorgeous—vibrant, crisp, and responsive to touch. The second screen integrates so well that it feels like an extension of the primary display rather than an add-on. Touch gestures and stylus support make it a dream for creatives. Keyboard & Ergonomics The keyboard is awesome. it feels natural and comfortable. The trackpad is great, and the on screen keyboard is unbelievable. Battery Life Considering it’s powering two high-resolution screens, the battery life is surprisingly solid. Of course, it’s not all-day endurance at max brightness, but with balanced settings, I can get a full work session without constantly reaching for the charger. Final Thoughts The Asus ZenBook Duo is an absolute beast for anyone serious about productivity, creativity, and efficiency. It’s innovative, powerful, and beautifully designed, making it worth every penny. If you love multitasking, creative work, or just having the coolest laptop in the room, this is 100% the laptop for you.

    Slightly Awkward Genius

I have literally dozens of laptops of all brands, models, OSes, etc. and this is the first one that has actually convinced me to leave a review. The displays are gorgeous, the battery life exceeds expectations at 4-6 hours under heavy usage, it churns through anything you can throw at it, and the iGPU can actually hold up to some light gaming. For the price, you're not going find more bang for your productive dollar, because the ingenious keyboard/dual screen combination works extremely well and makes doing tasks like software development dramatically more efficient. The overall package has its quirks, like the kickstand and having slightly more heft than your typical ultrabook, but these are quibbles compared to the functionality you gain.

This laptop is a great bang for your buck if you know what you’re looking for and wanting in a laptop. I knew that I wanted this laptop based on YouTube reviews and its specs. I will use this laptop honestly for school and just in general for productivity, with it having 2 screens. I really like this laptop; however, I haven’t had that much time to play with it and transfer all of my stuff from my old laptop onto it. I had this laptop for about a week and some days now. So, my review could change later but hopefully not. In addition, I would say that I was going to take it back to exchange it for a new one because the screens weren’t the same out of the box and that kind of annoyed me because this laptop is a decent price. However, I just kept looking up solutions online and I eventually just updated all the updates and just like that, my screens where the same brightness! I have before and after pictures with Max brightness and Min brightness.

The keyboard pins destroyed the laptop

The keyboard pins are so hard and exposed that they literally left dot-like dings around the groove on the laptop itself. Also, these pins will leave scratches on your wood table. They ahould have come with recessed pins. This seems like a design flaw.

The laptop is not bad. Everything works fine as advertised but my biggest problem is the start up. The software that runs at the beginning to juggle the dual monitors (even on laptop mode) really lags the computer at start up every time. Even though it’s 32gb ram but wow the start up is probably worse than all of my computers/laptops even though those are +4 years old. Disabling start up programs that I’m able to disable doesn’t help one bit.

LOVE the machine. Customer Service from BestBuy.com and ASUS is horrible. The pen that came with the computer was damaged out of the box. I contacted ASUS... 10 days later after back and forth emails... nothing they can do so I need to contact Best Buy.com, where I bought it. BestBuy.com can replace the pen...if I send THE WHOLE package back. Mind you... in the 10 days since ASUS was dragging their feet... I loaded programs, transferred files and got the machine running how I wanted it to run. But they can't replace just the pen... so if I want the pen... I have to send EVERYTHING back. The store can't even replace just the pen... they didnt have anything in stock that would work on it anyway. Love the machine. Hate who made it and who sold it and supposedly provides the customer "service"

Going back to the Yoga Book

    |

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

So, I'm on team Yoga Book over this and here is why: Asus Windows seems strange. It seems almost like an emulation as opposed to full proper Windows. It's hard to explain, but when I move a list of apps from one to another, the Asus version of Windows just seems off. The screen door effect on this was noticeable on this one. It seems like a trade off between IPS and OLED. You get clear white screens on IPS, or you get great black/dark scenes on OLED. What it comes down to is Qc. The top and bottom screens often didn't mesh. Either the brightness would be different, which is forgivable, but also understandable as the screen is bent so you realize they appear different to the eye at different angles. Less forgivable is when the two screens are different colors. Its off slightly, but noticeable when you extend the screen on one web page. I extended the screen to read articles, reddit pages, etc, so that color differential becomes more of a distraction. Overall, it seems like they designed a laptop and added a second screen, where Lenovo made a two screen laptop and worked from there. The proof of that was the battery life. You can get about 7 hours as a laptop but less than 4 as a dual screen. It's a portable 2 screen that doesn't travel well. I prefer the three USB-c ports on the YogaBook over the two on the Zenbook. While the headphone debate is endless, I prefer USB-C Thunderbolt over other plugs. Even phones are packed with usb-c to c as opposed to usb-c to a. Usb's are adaptable, so you don't need hdmi. The problem with USB-a is that you can't charge your computer through it. I'd rather have a usb-c that can charge a laptop on both sides. Considering the plug packaged with the laptop is shorter, you can't always reach the plug port if you're limited to one side. What doesn't make sense is that most review and product images show the Zenbook in "book mode" with the right side down. Unfortunately, in that mode, you can't plug the laptop to an outlet, as both the charging USB-C ports are covered. As mentioned above, you can't leave this unplugged for too long, but also, if you're using this in "book mode" you want the extra performance you get from this unit being plugged in. That being said, in book mode, Asus throttles the laptop and you can't put it in "performance mode" even plugged in. Speaking of throttling, the Intel i9 feels like a Intel i7. Which doesn't make sense since the fans in mine were pretty loud and constant. And then the speakers. This again has issues in "Book Mode". If you're watching a movie on the top screen, now the left screen, the sound comes from the bottom screen, now the right screen. Its distracting. While the Yoga Book has a similar issue, it's less noticeable in it's book mode. The upside to the yoga book is also in the two additional modes. Using the Zenbook in "book mode" leaves much to be desired. You'll want the extra modes you get with a 360 hinge. The "share mode" seems like an afterthought. (laptop in 180 open, two screens on) Every iteration of this mode will make you want a tent mode. It makes me wish they made a digital good version of Battleship just for these two laptops to prove my point. However limited gaming isn't the only issue. if you're using the two screens between two people, sometimes you'll want to adjust the angle, but you can't. Unnatural light is always overhead, and glare can be an issue. It's why tent mode almost becomes a necessity-especially in this form factor. What it came down to was this. The drawing experience. It comes with a pen, the drawing experience should be better. Perhaps Samsung has spoiled me, because drawing on a tablet is fun, and doable. Drawing on an iPad is fun and doable. So why is drawing on a laptop with a pen that came out a few years later than both the aforementioned not as fun? The palm rejection for drawing on the zenbook was terrible. You'll see the online reviews suggesting drawing on the bottom screen while having a point of reference on the top screen. This would be great if the pen input wasn't so limited. That being said, the pen wasn't good. WPP works on this well- I don't know why windows pens don't get along with stylus brands. Even within it's own brands. HP, Microsoft and Asus all use WPP pens. Lenovo and Dell have a different pen codes, so Surface pens don't work. Samsung S-pens are their own thing. In the same way USB-c is labled on things like USB-c peripherals or batteries are marked "AA" or "AAA", laptop pens and laptops should have a similar marking system. With that rant over, I had a Surface pen and it was better than the Asus pen included in the box. Palm rejection was truly lacking. I couldn't finish one pic without my hand changing a layer of a digital pic. In the end, I also would have liked a canvas mode or tent mode to draw on the upper screen instead of the bottom. Overall, I didn't hate the thing, it just wasn't for me. I like the function row buttons. (a rarely mentioned topic on laptop reviews). The backlighting on my unit wasn't consistent. The keyboard however was comfortable enough. Typing on it is a breeze. It handles most tasks well, albeit on a hot computer. I wouldn't be able to turn it off and throw it in the bag without waiting a few minutes for it to cool down. What it came down to was the few things that made me miss using the Lenovo. If this were a 2-in-1 (or is it 3-in-1), this laptop would have been better off. It may sound shallow, but I also just like the look of the Yogabook. Sitting next to each other, one is a unique but good looking. The Zenbook is a gray slab, much like every other laptop out there. I like the two screen setup as I do inventory and financials, so I can have receipts on one screen and a spreadsheet or inventory software on another. It's truly the middle ground of a proper laptop and a limited tablet. The hardware being throttled, being limited to a 180degree hinge and not being as versatile as I wanted were some of the reasons I went back to the yogabook. Not being as travelable was the biggest reason I went back. The fact that I can only readily find open boxes and never any new ones didn't help matters much either. It's rare, but when the Yoga Book goes on sale and is priced lower than this is when you should pick it up, which is what I did. I think the Yogabook being more expensive will guide people to this version, but if you were to compare hardware to hardware and how everything feels, and price didn't matter because of sales or discounts, I'd choose the Yoga Book. Sales are wonderful that way.

Overall I loved using the laptop. The ability from being able to use 1 or 2 screens depending on what you needed was very helpful, especially for school work where I could have the lecture on top and my notes on the bottom. It was fast and I didn’t have any problems with it not being able to load. However, there was one problem with my laptop, and from what I’ve seen, others online. When scrolling using the touchpad or touchscreen there was a static sound coming from the screen, whether I was using the top or bottom. While not the most deal breaking thing, for a new laptop not even been owned for a whole 2 weeks to get a problem is fairly annoying so I returned my laptop and am hoping to get a new one sometime soon. Assuming you get a laptop that doesn’t have that problem, and you’ll know within the first couple days of using it as had everyone else who had the problem, then you’ll have a very good laptop, especially for the price.

Highly recommend, It takes everything up a notch from the surface pro line. You get an included keyboard and pen but now there are two EXCELLENT 14” oled screens. Leave your dock at home, there are plenty of ports in case you need it. WORKS WITH SURFACE PENS, they even magnetize to this… nice It doesn’t fold backwards but this is great for reading text books, sheet music, or working on documents. Everything is crisp, colors are great. If you want a normal laptop, keep the keyboard on and you’ll never know there is a second screen there. That being said, one side is heavier like the when you are at the beginning of a book, but not a deal breaker for me. The backpack was a nice touch. Overall great package and would buy it again in the future.

Not a gaming computer due to the graphics, but I've been extremely happy with it as a general productivity tool. I routinely sit in a coffee shop with the screens in vertical mode and using the keyboard wirelessly. Phenomenal to be able to have twice the screen real estate while researching on one and writing notes on the other. I saw another review that complained of slowness, but I have not seen that. Also, the screens are just beautiful. Overall, highly recommend this if you don't need a gaming laptop.

This machine is designed as a dual screen productivity machine but it is too slow. The form factor is great and I did not have build quality issues that others have reported. It can not run simple citrix workspace apps that a much old PC runs flawlessly. Worse yet, when in dual screen mode, it is even slower. I was not running intensive programs. I tried to get help. ASUS customer support had me do the following (even though the computer was less than 24 hours old): 1. Check Bios Version 2. Reset Bios 3. Update graphics drivers 4. Windows update 5. Factory reset PC 6. Return PC to store because they have no other troubleshooting steps. Other issues: The screens are not the same brightness. They also have slightly different color profiles. Performance on battery is even worse yet. ASUS may reply for me to contact customer support to see if they can resolve this issue. Just know, that I have done this over 6 times. This computer does not live up to the specs. It might be a software issue that is fixed at some point, but I can't recommend this for the price.

I love this thing! I hesitated at first because of the price tag, but then my hubby asked how much it would increase productivity to have dual screens. I answered honestly that it would likely be a lot and he said, "Then sounds like it's worth it!" Boy, was he right! It's small and light, easy to travel with, but offers more screen real estate than much bigger laptops thanks to the dual screens. The design is clever in a number of ways. I'm also tickled that, even though I got it for working, it manages to play my games! Highly recommend.
