So I've been using this for about 3 to 5 days, and here's my thoughts so far. Battery life is MUCH better than I thought it would be, really impressed. I hooked up a 34 inch wide screen, and that is when it drains a little bit faster. But I'd say plug it in when using an external monitor. The screen is beautiful, and shows colors pretty accurately. The keyboard isn't my favorite, because the number pad on the right is not like my previous laptop. The 0 key is in a different place. Other than that, typing on it is fantastic. The performance of the laptop overall, is simply fast and fluid. Another thing is this laptop is HEAVY, really heavy. So make sure have a good nap when carrying it. The camera is decent like most other laptops, so you'll be able to video chat and do things others can do with the front camera. It has lots of ports, so you'll have the basics and more to connect extras for me connectivity. It's a nice laptop, same I'd recommend it to you.

Looked great, price was great and the specs met my needs. Ran the computer for 1 day and then the speakers quit working. Did a full update and the speakers worked. 5th time I turned it on, it wouldn’t load. Power was connected but the power switch wouldn’t turn on. Found out it was a bad motherboard (according to online info) finally got it on and it gave me a black screen. Best Buy said they can’t fix it and to mail it in. Estimated 3-6 weeks to fix. No thanks. I can’t afford to be without a working laptop for up to a month and a half. Returning it asap. Thinking it’s time to go back to a Mac…

Jack of all trades and built like a tank. This laptop is one of the most versatile around. No matter what your use is, this Zenbook can handle the job. Considering the price, the value is incredible and it is a standout device for just about any user. Ready for Work: The fast Intel i7, 512GB SSD, 16GB of RAM, fantastic keyboard, and numeric keypad plus a whole range of ports mean this laptop is ready for business. Webcam and speakers are decent and the AI tuning capability makes this a great choice for taking those Zoom or Teams video meetings. Ready for School: 2-in-1 design for note-taking, drawing, sketching, and plenty of memory for multimedia. Big battery means it will last all day. Ready for Play: GTX 1650 GPU means this laptop can handle gaming and its giant 96Wh battery lets it stream movies for hours and hours. It has robust cooling capacity and can run under load without slowing to a crawl. Ready for creators: its Pantone Validated touch screen, stylus support, SD card reader, thunderbolt expansion ports, and GPU will let it run Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premier with ease. All this and built like a tank with MilSPEC=810h certification. It isn't perfect. Tanks are heavy, and so is the Zenbook. At over 4lbs is is not the lightest ultrabook. The biggest gripe is that it does not support charging over USB-C and instead uses its own old-school barrel-style power adapter.

I like the form factor, the brightness of the screen, the reliability so far (after about a year of use), the feel of the keys (though I tend to use an external keyboard), the touch screen, and the general quality of the build. I like the graphic card with the HDML connector, it works perfect. Battery life is great: after a year of use, still going strong and the power management plan prevents the battery to overcharge. I wish the laptop would be a bit speedier sometimes (I use it with Photoshop and a simple video editor), but for the price paid, it's a solid workhorse and really good value. Only drawback: only 1 USB port, I wish there were 2 of them, that would make it easier to travel without the multiport box.

    Backlit Keyboard issue

This seemed like a really great laptop when it first arrived, but as soon as I updated the device the backlit keyboard stopped working. This is due to a problem with Asus’ drivers and didn’t seem like a big deal until I went on the Asus website and couldn’t find the ATK package. Their customer support was also less than helpful, suggesting me to send it back to Best Buy without even trying to fix the issue. Very disappointing. I’d suggest buying a different device with similar specs.

Ordered as open box “excellent” and should’ve came with the charger and no damage, as the sticker on the laptop had said. The box and packaging tape that held the laptop was falling apart. The laptop had dents on it. No charger was provided with it either. The actual laptop still works, works great actually, but the real problem was best buy’s handling of a product which was marketed as “excellent”.

I cannot say enough awesome things about this laptop! Maybe one critic, but that's it. Pros: - It is made out of aluminum and it has tough military-grade durability which means it can take some damage if you accidentally drop it on the ground or if the temperature from the weather is too hot or too cold for it. Plus, the appearance of it is sleek and very professional. It almost looks like a classy leather briefcase. The color is a cross between charcoal gray and chocolate. - Intel Core i7 Processor is as fast as lightning. I downloaded all of my files from my USB flash drive, was on Facebook, and listened to music on YouTube all at the same time-it just barely lagged. When it comes to me bringing up lots of windows online, it zipped like the Road Runner. My old laptop (which did get me through college and then some) has Intel Core i3 in it. The processor in that is MUCH slower so I have a point of comparison. - Love how I can convert the laptop into a tent, a stand, and a tablet. The precision-engineered 360° ErgoLift hinges that are attached between the screen and keyboard are very well-made and stiff, but it gives the laptop the freedom of flexibility. - The touchscreen is a great feature to have and it picks up my writing clearly and pricisely with just my finger alone. I can't wait to use a stylus on it. - Great battery life! I did a lot of tasks on there for 5 hours straight and I still had a little under 70% to use. I have been finding out that I don't have to charge it as much either. - The Wifi 6 keeps a solid online connection. We own a Verizon Jetpack, which is located in my brother's room. I went all over the place in my house like my room, the living room, the kitchen, and the basement. The wifi connection is just as strong in the other rooms as it is in his room. This is a real treat to have since we live out in the country and cannot take advantage of cable internet. It will also help me when I teach ESL students online and public school students who need to go to remote learning. - The sound is crisp and clear! Listening to music on my headphones with the bass on is awesome. That Harmon Kardon audio is something else! It still sounds very good without the headphones, but if I buy speakers for it, it will be even better. At least the basic build of the sound has a lot of potential whereas laptops can tend to sound tinny. - I have yet to hear the fan. It is very quiet. So nice... - The laptop is surprisingly lighter than I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it is still heavier than the average laptop nowadays, but my old laptop is heavier and cumbersome at over 5 lbs., so just keep that in mind if you decide to buy this laptop. Cons: - Camera resolution could be better, although it is definitely an improvement from my old laptop's camera resolution. Plus, when I did a video recording of myself, it was flawless to look at when I saw it afterwards, again, the sound was great. - That's all I have for cons! All and all, this is an excellent laptop! It is nice to own something that is well-made and will get the job done for everyday tasks. I have officially become a fan of ASUS and will continue to buy more products from them in the future! The commercials are great, too. Also, special thanks to the tech insiders and the customers on this Best Buy page for relaying very insightful and helpful reviews. You folks are a part of the reason why I decided to purchase this laptop!

    Design Meets Function

This laptop combines a solid build and a very attractive aesthetic with real power inside. This laptop looks and feels like a quality product. The i7 processer and 16gb of ram make typical works tasks a breeze. You can open browsers, documents, and even most programs almost instantly and run them simultaneously with no problem. The graphics specs might not be as great as a more expensive machine or a gaming laptop, but for video editing it still handles everything well. I can monitor and edit 4k video in Davinci Resolve. I wouldn't recommend this for serious gaming, but then again that's not really what this laptop is designed for. For work and media creation, it's quite capable and well-designed. The keyboard has a nice feel. The number pad is nice to have. Fans run quiet. Number ports is sufficient (only 1 usb-a so it's nice to make use of a blue-tooth mouse to leave the port accessible). The screen is a little glossy, but it really hasn't been an issue even working in bright environments. The functionality of the touch-screen makes up for any annoyance with the glossy appearance. If you need a powerful machine in the $1000-$1200 range and you care about design and build and not just specs, this is worth strong consideration.

    Quirky but nice machine

This is a machine with good specs but it's quirky. It has a good amount of ram, a nice display, a gen 11 i7 processor and is apparently well built. So lots of good things going for it. But after a couple of months of use there is a few things it does that are not expected, it will sometimes do what appears to be a quick reboot after being idle for a little while, not a full restart but the Asus screen with the circling dots pops up and it goes back to where it was. Sometimes when the screensaver background comes up and I wake it up the Edge browser launches without being clicked on. There is a few other little things that happen some times as well. The Intel display drivers update quite often but it has the new Xe integrated gpu so I think that's to be expected. The Realtec drivers have updated a several times too but I think they're also newer parts so after improved driver/firmware updates some of the quirkyness will disappear. At this time I'd give it a 3.8 but expect to go to a 4 at some point.

Four stars is maybe a little more generous that I had planned to be, but I do like the laptop. The display is sharp, the computer is fast and boots up in a hurry, it has a dedicated graphics card, and it's good value for the price (got it on sale). For the negatives, the complaints among the reviews about low sound level are true - I even had to install a volume booster just to make it minimally acceptable. The Harmon Kardon speakers are quite poor as well, very tinny and unsatisfying. The number pad is too small and there's no way to tell if the numlock is active (no indicator light), but at least the laptop has a number pad. And having only one regular USB port is a big miss, as that's taken up with my mouse. So some hits and misses, but I'm happy enough overall with it, esp. for the price.

Use primarily for Lightroom and Photoshop, and it amazes me how fast and snappy everything is. I use inside under controlled lighting, so brightness and glares aren't really an issue, but the display is really good. It's extremely well built. The case is solid with no bends or bows anywhere. Lid lifts and closes smoothly with no strain on edges or corners. It is a weighty laptop, but I like the feel of it quite a bit. I've been using the machine for a few months now and really don't have anything bad to say about it.

I have had an Asus touch laptop since 2013, but its connectivity became problematic for my Zoom teaching. Time for a new one. I'm generally impressed with this ZenBook Flip 15. It is similar to the older one, but lighter in weight and the display is much better. The performance is fast; keyboard has a nice feel. But there are two reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars: 1. The Asus webcam has a known yellow tint issue which comes out at night when using it. It's a well-known problem with recent Asus devices. No real solution, and I've tried everything. I've spent hours trying to fix this, tinkering with color management, drivers, profiles, etc. So now I must buy a separate webcam, as I teach and use Zoom a lot. 2. Only one USB port. Everyone needs at least two USB ports! I had to buy a USB hub for my mouse & microphone to attach. These drawbacks are significant but perhaps not enough to deter one from good performance and good price. I've found the Asus support (phone) decent, too.

I was shopping for a laptop but I was very picky with what I wanted. I didn't want just a laptop. I wanted a 2-in-1 with great specs, a 1080p 15-inch screen, decent build quality, thin and compact, and a decent price. For less than a thousand dollars, every other device I was stumbling across had one major deal breaker. Some of the laptops had a small screen, some had a 15 inch screen with bad specs. Some didn't have a discrete GPU but had everything else. This computer is seriously the last device you will need. I have a desktop with a GTX 1080 Ti but I really don't have a use for it anymore. The 1650 MQ in this machine has a lot of power in a very small package. The screen gets decently bright and touch screen works great. Doesn't get hot, isn't noisy, this is seriously everything I was searching for. I haven't written a review for anything in the longest. This is the real deal. Y'all gotta buy this

I have been using this for about a month now. Nice keyboard, decent weight, especially for a 15.6" laptop, and one of the best color calibrated displays I have used on a laptop. This probably fits a creator series type laptop, and one of the reasons we bout this was to be able to edit photos while on vacation. Performance has been great. Although the most demanding thing I have done on it so far is to play Diablo III. It does get very warm while playing, but that is expected. Cooling solution seems to be working, since it doesn't seem to have throttled while playing Touchpad is of a good size, and accurate. Although I mostly use a BT mouse with it. Definitely worth considering if you are looking for a 15-16" laptop with enough performance for lighter gaming, good screen for looking at and editing photos, and not too heavy to lug around on vacations.

Very powerful laptop. It can put out a bit of heat when pushed like gaming but no issues. Internal speakers were not very loud, but I hooked up a wireless speaker which solved the problem. Also you are going to want to get a USB hub, the one USB 3.0 isn't enough.

Here goes. Lightning fast, ready to go in about 8 seconds, off in 8 seconds, bright screen, touch screen works well, touch pad works well, sound quality excellent with some bass, although not very loud. (but loud enough) Easy to open, camera ok. Have not heard fan run yet, but have it set in quiet mode and seems to stay cool. Cons. Pricey, small key board, tiny keys, when typing upper keys I bump touchscreen and have to go back a couple steps. (large hands) Power cord is in back right corner and gets in the way, but I use it an a plastic serving tray and route it through the left handle and around back, so that works to keep the cord out of way. The tiny little feet on the bottom are extremely slick and laptop slides around. 4 little rubber feet from H/D fixed that, although it won't fold like a tablet, but I have a table, so no issue. Performance is excellent overall. Just have to get use to the small key board. After writing this review, which took about an hour (I'm slow) battery is at 83% Would I buy this again? Probably.
