The Asus Zenbook 15.6" is a great laptop. I put this laptop on a laptop stand and I am using a Bluetooth keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse. Bluetooth works great. Currently I don't plan to carry this laptop with me. Also I don't plan on folding the screen all the way back and using it as a tablet. It will work that way for many but I have other tablets. Battery Life is decent but not great. I get about 10 hours of work but not video playback. Overall I like this laptop.

So far, I am impressed with this little computer. The new ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 is a beast! The size is perfect for travel, lying in bed, a small café table, but plenty powerful enough to get the job done. I have not had a new laptop in quite some time, but this computer has some pep to it. The 12th generation Intel Evo I7 processor is no slouch, and you can feel it. This is one of my favorite processors for a daily driver laptop, it can keep up with anything you throw at it, and it’s even lightweight and offers fantastic battery performance. It’s hard to beat. This laptop comes equipped with Windows 11 already installed. The graphics are sharp and clean, with a screen that displays colors vibrantly. This OLED screen has a 10-point touch and already comes adjusted to lower the amount of blue light emission all while being absolutely flicker-free. The screen also supports a pen and is pressure-sensitive, meaning when you press harder while using the pen the line will become darker as if you were writing with a real pen or pencil. You have to experience the crispness of this screen, it’s amazing. The whole experience is quick, nimble, and visually stimulating. Another thing I enjoy is the well-backlit keyboard, capable of 3 brightness settings and off. The long keys on each end make typing precise without accidentally hitting other keys. The charger that comes with this laptop is small but has plenty of juice for a fast charge. The charging cable is 90w and small enough to throw in a backpack without weighing it down. This model comes with 1 USB port, 2 USB-C ports, an HDMI, a mini-SD card slot, and even the elusive 3.5mm headphone jack, plenty of ports to get your projects done, the ability to display your creations, and even immerse yourself into some Lo-fi hip-hop while listening to music and becoming one with your workflow. OK, let's talk about the coolest part. This thing turns into a tablet! The screen can open a full 360 degrees and folds flat upon its own underside to sit perfectly flat. This feature was my favorite. I liked to prop the screen up and watch movies or flip it into tablet mode while lounging on the couch or in bed. This computer has the best of both worlds, laptop, and tablet with the power of a computer. The 10-finger touch, OLED 100% DCI-P3 true color display with a 1,000,000:1 high contrast ratio with HDR support adds to the immersive experience, it just feels so smooth. I wish I could have gotten this machine sooner. In all, I am pleased with this computer and can see it to be perfect for anyone who works from home, needs a fast computer without buying a gaming laptop, or someone who travels and needs to pack light. I would not exactly call this a gaming laptop, but I bet it could handle itself extremely well. The one thing I did not like too much was that when the computer is flipped into tablet mode, the keyboard is exposed on the back. I do not like the idea of having the keyboard set down on anything hard like a countertop, but these laptops are created and designed by the world's best engineers, so it should be fine. Other than the exposed keyboard, this computer is fantastic, and I will happily take it everywhere with me. I work in cyber defense and can confidently say that this machine is a powerhouse!

This is not a review of the product. It is for Best Buy and Geek Squad. Purchased the Open-Box Excellent - Certified option, which, based on the definition provided on the website the product is 1-Geek Squad Certified 2-Professionally Cleaned 3-Looks brand new. Guess what the item arrived and non of the above was true. There were fingerprints all over it, cables were lose in the box, the was plastic cover for the laptop in the package which was left under the laptop. I hate when companies just say anything and provide false information so that they can sell their products. Honestly is too important.

If you are considering this latest version of the Asus Zenbook Flip. Its performance does not disappoint! Latest Intel Evo I7 and 16gb RAM keep Windows moving without hesitation. Almost everything from the audio and camera look and sound considerably better than previous laptops I have used. To me, the real selling point is the FLIP's ability paired with the new 120hz OLED touchscreen. Just like the small screen on your pricey late model cell phone. This laptop has a fast refresh rate OLED screen for the best image quality at all viewing angles and buttery smooth scrolling and media playback. And while you may not initially see the need for the Flip function. You will want it and its better to have it and not use it, than to not have it at all. You can Flip the keyboard behind the screen to be a large and powerful Windows tablet or use it as a drawing tablet (Asus Pen not included). Although, my favorite mode for the Flip. Flip the keyboard face down on your lap and not only will this keep the vents clear for excellent heat dissipation. It removes the need for trays or stands and puts the screen up close and perfect for reclining sofa media consumption or editing work from a more comfortable seating position if you still get to (or want to) work from home. And the hinge is very strong to keep the screen angle where you set it. Tips I would give to any new Zenbook Flip users. Thoroughly set up the MyAsus app customization settings. Tailor it to your usage needs, but make sure to setup "Asus OLED Care" settings and consider setting the "Battery Health Charging" for how you plan to use the Flip daily. Just know OLEDS can suffer from burn-in and these settings help minimize any future problems. Also know that the only upgrade this laptop seems capable of is the SSD (solid state hard drive). You can remove the back and put in a bigger SSD. But sadly, the memory is soldered. 16gb is usually more than enough for most. Another thing to keep in mind, if you have older mouse/keyboard combos you plan to add to this PC. There is only 1 USB 3.0 port. Consider a USB-C hub to take advantage of the 2 Thunderbolt ports and leave the USB 3.0 port available for flash drives.

I was initially very excited about the 2-in-1. However, ASUS 2.0 stylus pen that is listed in the overview, is apparently not included in the purchase even though it’s listed amongst the included features and never once listed as sold separately. I called customer service to inquire and was told I was mistaken to think it was included. I said the advertisement is patently false. Returns are in-store only and the nearest one is almost 70 miles away.

My comparison: ASUS Zenbook Flip vs LENOVO Yoga 7i

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

ASUS Zenbook Flip 15.6” OLED i7 (12700H) vs LENOVO Yoga 16” i7 (1260P) As a photographer and software engineer, I have had an iBuyPower desktop from July 2020. It’s spec’d with i9-12900KF, Nvidia 3070i and 64GB of DDR4 ram. Being a desktop, this locked me in the office any time I wanted to use the pc for anything casual. Watching YouTube, or doing simple stuff like browsing the web was getting tiresome on my phone so I figured I would get a tablet. As I examined the options, I found I was not happy with the limited functionality of a tablet at laptop prices so I started my search among the Windows ultra book offerings such as Surface Pro series. However, again, crazy prices had me back to considering tablets. As a photographer, I already have a top spec’d desktop that I use to do my heavy lifting. However, I wanted something more portable to use around the house, wanted to spend less than $1000 and wanted the most performance I could get for my money. With the recent sales on ultrabook category of laptops, 2-1 flip styled machines became affordable at less than $1000. I was able to purchase 2 different ultra-thin flip books to try out. Started with the Lenovo Yoga 16” with i7-1260P cpu, 16GB ram, 512GB storage and intel iris Xe 96EU (on sale $800). The Good: I absolutely loved the build construction. Very Solid. Lenovo’s integrated software design was impeccable with everything running nice and smooth like butter. Great Battery life. The Bad: Less processor performance of the 1260P family (That’s not even the high end version of the series of P chips, it’s the lowest. Great battery life but at a cost to performance). Display brightness only 400 nits. Seemed kind of muddy, dirty appearance. The solid build and size makes the laptop very heavy so didn’t like carrying it around the house. In spite of the shortcomings (in my opinion) I really loved using this solid laptop. Next, tried the Asus Zenbook Flip 15.6” OLED with i7-12700H, 16GB ram, 512GB storage and intel iris Xe 96EU (also on sale for $800). The Good: I7-12700H, top performance in the i7 portables cpu pile. The monitor is AMAZING, bright and vibrant! Lightweight and smaller, very easy to walk around the house with it. The Bad: Battery not as good (…which is expected if looking for performance vs battery life) Out of the box, the monitor’s color calibration made my eyes bleed from the oversaturation. Had a bear of a time finding out how to adjust and resolve (Found that enabling HDR in the ASUS settings software completely fixed this) Build construction not near as good with more surface flex on the outer lid and the keyboard deck. ASUS integrated software not near as good as Lenovo’s with small glitches (Example-While screen rotation works going from laptop mode to tent mode, going back from tent mode to laptop mode has never worked and I have to close the lid to reset the screen orientation. Performance is my primary priority on a computer, so I gave up the Lenovo and sticking with the ASUS. Even though I so very much loved using the Lenovo and feel like it was the best build between the two, I couldn’t get over the performance compromise due to the lesser cpu. I ALLLLMOST returned the ASUS because of the oversaturation of the display as that was a deal breaker but finding a solution at the 11th hour resolved the decision for me. Just my perspective. You may have other priorities that will influence your decision. They are both excellent laptops for business/leisure in my opinion.

THE BREAKDOWN: Having owned previous ASUS laptops this ASUS Zenbook Flip 2-in-1 with 15.6” OLED touch screen had expectations out of the box. Speaking of the box it was really neat how when you opened the lid it raised the laptop out of the box about an inch for you to grab. The main thing I was hoping to try out on this particular laptop was the OLED screen. Included in the box with the laptop, charging/power supply and the QR codes with a quick start guide. I started by plugging up my laptop and letting it charge. After I let it fully charge, I powered it on, the power button is a small button on the right side of the laptop not on the keyboard like I am accustomed to. The setup was quick and easy. The OLED screen did impress! I found there was no pixilation or screen door effects. The colors were vibrant and no differences between one side of the screen to the other. The beautiful screen is accompanied with a beautiful blue body with silver accents. This thing screams high-end. The mouse/track pad is a full 5” X 3” and I found that it worked well. I also liked that there was even enough room for a number pad. The whole thing weighs in at 3.97 lbs. Not too bad. It has a HDMI port, 1 USB-A port, 2 USB-C ports, headphone jack and a micro-SD card reader. The flip/touch screen is a nice touch and lets you have the best of both worlds as you have a laptop and a tablet. This ASUS Zenbook is packed with power. Let’s start with the Intel 12th gen core i7-12700H processor. I found this to aid in multitasking. I was zipping between projects easy and effortlessly. Next is the new Windows 11. This version of windows is redesigned, beautiful, and easy to maneuver around in. I find its like using my tablet. This laptop comes with 16GB of RAM which is sufficient for this laptop. It has 512GB PCIe SSD that works well without all the other drawbacks from the traditional drives. One thing lacking is the graphics card. This comes with an Intel Iris Xe Graphics card which is pretty budget friendly and lower quality. The Screen resolution doesn’t offer 4K but does have HD at 2880 X 1620. PRO’s: - Intel 12th gen core i7-12700H processor - Windows 11 - 512GB PCIe SSD - 16GB of RAM - Full size track pad and does have the number pad to the right - OLED beautiful screen - The case is very built and a beautiful blue with silver trim CON’s: - The graphics card is very low end for me… SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for item like this.

I love the laptop - of course the criteria of the laptop has to match with good price. This one did for me. I needed a laptop that wasn't attached to the wall when I am in the field. The processor needed to be powerful for some of my applications (not graphics) and sharp, bright display. All this at a good price. This laptop met these criteria and BestBuy delivered on price ($400 off). Must criteria was the battery, so as soon as I opened and setup the laptop, I ran continuous video on it until it reached 20% battery. It ran for 10 hours at 40% brightness. Due to OLED and brightness, 40% was more than enough in real world application. Once the battery met my requirement, I upgraded the the NVMe to 2TB. It was an easy upgrade (two additional screws under the rear pad). I wish I can also bump the memory, but 16MB is adequate. The 12700H is a beast when demand is put on it. It is slightly faster than my 10600K desktop . The laptop is light for toting. Charging through the USB-C was also import for me. Because I travel, I want to consolidate chargers. I carry 150W PD charger that is more than enough for all my devices, including this laptop. I leave the dongle charger for home charging. I thought the 2.8K, 120Hz touch screen OLED was going to be a bonus. It certainly is. After experiencing it, it's a must have going forth on laptops. I always been a fan of 2 in 1 design. It makes the laptop so much more versatile, and the screen makes all the difference.

Review ASUS - Zenbook Flip 2-in-1 15.6" OLED Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Evo Platform - 12th Gen Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Azurite Blue. Comes with 1 USB-A, 2 USB C, 1 HDMI, Audio Port. The Zebook Flip 2 in 1 feels lighter than other brands of same size, with premium look and feel of the hardware makes a notebook that is flexible for work and entertainment purpose. Model in review has OLED display that comes with Intel 12tth Gen Core i7-12700H 2.3GHz, 16GB Ram and Windows 11 Home. Upon taking out of the box and starting its OS preparation is common to the Windows 11 process. Not much to add as haven’t observed any differences. Among few things to remark the Zenbook is its weight for the size, vibrant image for video call and entertainment, and Dolby Atmos for Headphone and Speaker controlled separately. For camera, it has option to control how it should behave during the conference as such to follow the eye or the body., blur background. Now, while watching movie deliver great experience if use a headset. With it can feel details as Dolby Atmo meant to. Without headset still can experience the Dolby Atmo but feels it diminish as it is open space and hard to detect on the details. For instance watching Top Gun 1, from its 6 min where the battle starts between jets, its movement from led to right and in between as the engine sound burning, with the headset can detect separately most of them. And this is from quite old movie. Streaming from regular Youtube like to listen music video doesn’t feel the greatness of sound and video, only thing is its stability such that can’t see in bear eyes breaking images in the video. On the other hand, during video conference, it does what Intel chip usually does that can hear its fan working at full speed for a moment, which I don’t experience while streaming full 4k video. Then the connection to bluetooth headphone sometime get disconnected while watching movies and I suspect it triggered as it activate the Dolby Atmo. In few cases, the connection got totally disconnected switching the sound to the Zenbook’s speaker. So something to have back of mind if using during a flight. Using it flipped, it is also great user experience due to simplicity but it feels it is not consistent the locking of the keyboard. Despite having activated locking option when flipped, sometime as I touch the keyboard takes effect. Then switching landscape to portrait doesnt seem to work straight as from Landscape to Portrait had to work on it. Once having on portrait, need to make sure side with power button goes up, otherwise in opposite mode placing it on the desk or body, it turn off. So end up in panic mode if that happen during a video conference. Among details that I find very practical and good it is as is, it is regarding control of mic and camera from the keyboard. It is handy and practical in my opinion to have direct button from the keyboard instead of looking for how to deactivate from the conference software. At least for me. To summarize I wish it work better: 1. Stability of bluetooth connectivity with headphone; 2. Keyboard locking while flipping screen only; 3. Switching screen to landscape to portrait and vice versa 4. Finger print marked on the hard ware, could be resistance as it something like on the refrigerator. In short, it does what is designed for but excel for video meeting and movie time and enough for the work.

This was my first Asus laptop and was a big disappointment, mostly because the screen doesn't auto rotate, i tried everything, even factory restore it, nothing seems to solve the problem. Even worse, i'm outside US right now till november 19 and don't have a way to return this in time ('cause the 15 day return policy) so i'm stuck with this computer. In other aspects, yes, it's a good laptop but the 2in1 feature was a big deal for me.

I've had good experiences with Asus laptops in the past, so decided to try another one. Was going to try Zenbook 14.5 w/ 13th gen i7. Liked 16:10 aspect ratio, but overall too small, no usb-a, no sd slot to expand the 512 ssd. Also no separate power port, charges only through usb-c. The Zenbook flip 15.6 unfortunately has 16:9 screen and 12th gen i7. MIne (Q529ZA) also has only 512GB drive, but storage is easy to expand with usb-a flash drive and/or microSD card. Lots of other pluses: great OLED screen, 16GB ram, charges through power port with included 90W adapter or my other 90W Targus universal charger without using up any usb ports or can charge through usb-c. The upgraded 539 model had 1TB ssd and graphics card, but I was put off by 150W power supply. One warning - Both manufacurer and BESTBUY warn against using this as a laptop. It can get a little warm while charging under load. I played with putting a dowel across my lap under the hinge end, which works fine. Since then, I reduced refresh rate from 120hz to 60hz. Also, when using plugged in, which is most of the time, I use the Asus settings to limit charge to 60%. Computer is quite comfortable on the lap without a dowel. Overall very happy with purchase. 8+ hour life if charged to 100%. I also looked at OLED HP Spectre and Samsung Galaxy Book 3 360. Both were great...and each about twice the cost of the Asus.

The display is stunning, offering vibrant colors and sharp details. The battery life is commendable, lasting through long work sessions. ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED is a dream!

I am writing to summarize my evaluations of the ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED after approximately one month of use in the college classroom and as a research tool. I purchased this device as a potential replacement for a Microsoft Surface Studio laptop that I bought last winter, and I will compare my experience with both devices in this review. There is no comparison between the screens. The OLED screen on the ASUS is simply outstanding. The screen brightness is also superior. This is important if you plan to sit and work outside in the sun. The screen on the Microsoft Studio laptop is invisible and unusable in the sun. Heaviness – surface studio laptop is quite literally a brick. Thick and heavy. The Asus Zenbook Pro 15 Flip is a true lightweight in comparison but only in terms of weight, not performance. Literally half the weight! The keyboard on the Asus is a delight especially if you do a lot of typing and data entry. The keys are backlit (not true of the keys on the Surface Studio). The Asus keys are responsive. They have a satisfying click (not too loud) and a satisfying degree of travel. This is not true of the keyboard on the Surface Studio. LBoth keyboards include the obligatory top row of special function keys. However, Asus provides a dedicated number pad to the keyboard’s right. The touchpad is another aspect of the ASUS keyboard that merits comment and commendation. The whole touchpad is responsive to the touch. It is very sensitive and doesn’t require a heavy-handed effort when making a selection. On the other hand, the touchpad on the Surface Studio is kludgy, and I often find I must make a firm “Click” to affect a selection and sometimes several efforts. Another clear advantage of the ASUS Zenbook Flip is its ability to turn into a tablet simply by flipping the screen over. The Surface Studio was intended to allow the user to do this without flipping the device over. Still, the Surface Studio fails in this respect due to its kludginess in flipping the screen into position (be sure to use both hands!). If you are interested in a device that allows you to use the screen and keyboard simultaneously, I strongly encourage you to look at the Acer ConceptD Ezel 3. The charger for the Microsoft Surface Studio is a heavy brick, just like the unit itself that can get hot to the touch. The charger for the Asus is smaller and rectangular. It is fitted with a Velcro tie (thoughtful touch), allowing you to stow it for travel. The 65 W ASUS charger does not get hot. The battery life of the ASUS is exceptional (full eight hours), especially compared with the Surface Studio, which barely lasts half a day. In summary, the ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 FLIP OLED is a dream.

With a 12th Gen Core i7, 16GB Memory and 512GB SSD, the ASUS Zenbook Flip 2-in-1 is a multitasking pleasure to use. This is a premium machine that exudes quality from the moment you raise the lid of the retail box and the computer tilts slightly forward to greet you. Contents of the box are minimal: computer, power brick, power cord, and a Quick Start Guide. Powering on the computer takes you through the familiar Windows setup procedure. No surprises here, and the ASUS silently speeds through the initial setup. ASUS WiFi Master Premium with SmartConnect & WiFi Stabilizer manages connection to your preferred wireless network, and performance has been impressive while connected to a WiFi 6 (802.11ax) network. It reliably holds connection to my network regardless of where I roam within the home and office. I tested it in a very unscientific way: Streaming various HD video sources. I experienced minimal buffering at video startup, and smooth, consistent playback with no reductions in quality. It just works. Large file downloads from Dropbox and Large file/folder transfers across the local network were accomplished with ease at speeds on par with my wired network. I really like the keyboard. Key spacing is comfortable for my large hands, and it includes 10-key input. Key travel feels just right. Key lettering is easy to read with large white print against the dark blue keytops. Working in low light is also made easy thanks to the customizable single-zone RGB keyboard backlighting. One minor gripe regarding the backlight: I have long arms, and if I use the computer with arms extended, the backlighting is visible under the front edge of the keys and it slightly reduces the readability of the printed keytops. Windows login can be done using the HD IR camera. I did not test this as I prefer passwords and PINs. For the security conscious, there are hardware locks (Alt functions on F9 & F10) on the camera and mic with an orange LED clearly visible on the key top when lockouts are engaged. The 15.6” OLED touch screen is beautiful to look at. HDR content is lifelike. The near infinite contrast of the OLED panel ensures no image detail is lost in the shadows. Native resolution of 2880 x 1620 on a 15.6” display delivers razor sharp images. The 120Hz, .2 ms pixel response means motion blur is nonexistent. There is optional ambient light and color sensing that adjusts screen brightness and color temperature for optimal image viewing based on conditions in your environment. This computer is a convertible. The screen completely flips around to function in tablet mode. As a tablet, the display transitions between portrait and landscape with computer orientation. The hinges feel rock solid and operate smoothly through their full range. The screen is pleasingly rigid. There is zero flex when rotating the display using one hand on a corner. In truth, at 3.97 lbs., the computer is cumbersome to use as a tablet and I don’t anticipate taking advantage of this functionality very often unless laying on my desktop. Perhaps on an easel? My old capacitive stylus works well with the touchscreen for basic tasks, but this screen supports 4096 levels of pressure input and is capable of much more detailed input; it warrants a stylus upgrade if you wish to take advantage of this functionality. Connectivity options are many. There are two Thunderbolt 4 ports. These things are amazing. With the right accessory, it seems there’s nothing they can’t do. In addition to 40 Gbps data transfers, they can also support 4K external displays. USB-C accessories are fully compatible with these ports. I appreciate the inclusion of a microSD card reader, USB 3.2 type A port, and a combo headphone/mic jack. A full-size HDMI port simplifies connection to my external monitor. The speakers were a pleasant surprise. They sound terrific! The Harman Kardon-certified quad-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system is clear, full, and can reach an impressive volume. While watching a movie, voices are easy to understand, even through loud action sequences, and environmental sound cues are accurately placed. I can’t believe what the engineers can do with modern laptop speakers. If I were pressed to say something negative about this computer, it wouldn’t be about the computer at all, but about the power cord. After years using power bricks (even other 90-watt systems) with integrated power plug, the necessity of a heavy-gauge plug-in power cord (see picture) feels like a step backward. Cable management is a little more complicated. Not a big deal. The ASUS Zenbook Flip is truly a do-it-all wonder. I love it.

This is a fantastic piece of technology that punches above its price class. Fantastic build, solid keyboard, robust hinges, and the silver trim really makes it look expensive. Performance is blazing fast. I'm not a power user but if you're just doing basic word processing, web surfing, etc. you're never going to be disappointed. Battery life has been excellent and laptop generates very little heat. In the few weeks I've had it I've never heard the fan turn on. The big selling point for me was the screen - it's sharp, bright, and the 120 hz refresh rate makes scrolling smooth as butter. It's all especially impressive when used as a huge tablet. I'll find myself in the middle of scrolling around and just stop and marvel at how lovely the whole thing is to use and look at. If I have a complaint, it's a little thick and heavy for a tablet (not a surprise), and there's always the concern of the exposed keyboard when used in this way. That being said nothing about it feels fragile, and I'm very optimistic it will last many happy years.

The 120Hz OLED screen is why this Zenbook stands out among other laptops. Add the Evo i7, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD. Than there are the ports: Two USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 ports that allow connecting two 4K monitors in addition to the HDMI. AESTHETICS: the Zenbook is beautiful and nice to look at all day, and the brilliant screen just adds to it. FUNCTION: great keyboard feel, nice backlighting, responsive screen. NOTE: This Zenbook has Intel integrated graphics. The model up is Intel’s stand-alone graphic card, it’s the only difference. Either is a smart choice, just up to user to determine what they need from their graphics card.

I've have owned several high end Asus notebooks in the past, my expectations for this notebook was equally high. The initial presentation out of the box is very nice, you open the box and the notebook rises up out of the box (about an inch). I'm especially anxious to see an OLED screen on a notebook. I own a MS Surface Pro with a 120hz display, and I thought that was nice enhancement, that their screen resolution is about the same as this Asus. The box has some other inserts with QR codes for registration and quick start info, and the power supply (19V 4.74A 90W 3"x3"x1.2"), that's it no other wasted paper in the box. When I first started charging the notebook after taking the notebook out of the box, it surprised me and started talking to me before I even opened the screen. It was Alexa waking up, informing me she could assist in the setup. Well I let it fully charge, two tiny leds on the right edle let you know it's charging and active. Just above that is a small on/off button, not on the keyboard where I've started to become accustomed to finding a power button. Windows 11's setup was very easy, but be forewarned you must have a MS account (online); for me no big deal I like having MS's One Drive on all my computers, and this you have to have an account for. I knew this notebook supported the latest MS pen spec (MPP 2.0 compatible 4,096 pressure levels & tilt sensitivity (no BT required)), so I acquired one to test with (ASUS will offer a matching pen in the near future, but not yet shipping). Well with the screen on, it does impress, pixels to small to detect any screen door effect at all. And the screen is quite bright with no obvious color differences from edge to edge (tested changing colors w/full screen display, no hot spots at all, completely even colors (which is probably why it's Panatone validated). The track pad is a full 5"x3" very generous and responsive. And the 15.6" machine weights just under 4lbs (3 lbs 15.4oz) which is the same as the 14.4" MS Surface Pro which also has a 120hz display rate. Impressive, and this ASUS has a much more generous selection of ports. My wife and I have 4 Intel 11th gen laptops (all i7's), we thought they were a big step up from Intel's 9th and 10th gen processors. Well the combination of Windows 11 and the Intel's 12 gen CPU is another big step up. Resource monitor shows 20 CPU cores, and given how many threads Win 11 now uses, this will help the system run much smoother. But I also do software development on my laptops (which is why I have several). So I wanted to test Visual Studio loading and some light DB work, the ASUS was not quite as fast as my current fastest notebook (HP Envy, 40gb, 2TB). At first I was tempted to blame Windows 11, so I disabled some of the new security features, and my times changed by less than 1-2% (faster). [Also good to know Windows 11 new security features don't cause huge performance issues on a new machine] So, I ran Crystal Disk Mark (against the stock 512GB SSD (SK hynix) - and I found the cause of the slowness). My other notebooks has a larger faster SSD (writes especially) (both are gen 3 drives). Here's the good news the ASUS SSD is a user replaceable device (yea). I've upgraded most of my recent notebooks (both memory and SSD (this ASUS cannot have it's memory upgraded (boo))). Well 13 screws later, I was replacing the SD with a 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Pro) - BTW Disable bitlocker before replacing/imaging or your SSD or your image will be unusable. After powering back up and rebooting the write benchmarks went from 3000 to 3450, solving the performance issue I saw. I suspect drives size was the issue, as I've used the SK Hynix 2TB SSD with good results. I also tested an external Thunderbolt drive and it's throughput was over 3K constantly (as expected). In fact the two Thunderbolt 4 ports also support power delivery and can be used to drive 2 additional USB Monitors from the USB ports both at 4K 60Hz. I tested with a 2K and 4K display and encountered no problems, both were recognised and configured automatically. It was nice to find a micro USB port on the left side and a headphone jack on the right (tremendous hedphone surround sound quality). Speaking of sound, the audio out of this ASUS is remarkable for its size, the Dolby Vision Atmos certainly does a great job, better than any notebook I've tried in years (when they were much bigger). There is also a USB-A port and a full size HDMI port (yea). Using MS note it's conversion from written text to typed input was remarkably quick and accurate, infact all of the MS Ink enabled applications worked great. The pen input was immediately recognised and simple to set up. ASUS claims that you could can get 12 hrs on the battery, well I used it for a full day doing what I normally do, and got a 10% battery warning after just over 10 hrs. No gaming, but screen was 80% bright and used non-stop. Just about the best battery life I've gotten from a standard notebook (no extended battery). For just browsing the internet and light office work this notebook is fast, the Wi-Fi 6 support works very well. The build quality is exceptional, and given its size, the sound quality is exceptional, it seems to come from multiple directions (yea). I set the system up with MS Hello (facial recognition), which works well if I was right in front when and the camera pointing properly. If not recognised I had to use a pin (no finger print recognition). And the there is a way to lock the camera and mic (Alt Fn F9 & F10) causes an orange LED to be turned when locked. I did some Video editing, it was smooth and fast. I also did some Astrophotography photo stacking/enhancement, it was lightning quick and the screen's quality allowed me to inspect the subtle difference in the different types of enhancements. With 15 stacked TIF photos, it never took more than a 4-5s to process all of them (lesser machines might have taken 15-20s). I was impressed. Once I got this set up like I wanted/needed it for development it was an exceptional combination. And since the drive was relatively easily be upgrade, I took advantage of that, and I'm glad it was an option. Except for upgradable memory this machine has everything I was looking for in a new, state of the art notebook.
