    Decent Laptop

This is a very nice laptop. Has many features HP does not. Better processor, more RAM, a privacy camera, a keypad, a screen that is bright and clear, vivid colors, and a touchscreen. I love that I can turn off the camera and microphone by pushing two buttons one for each feature. Cons: Does not always shut off when you shut down, does not always update when you say update, and gets stuck in sleep mode. If you wait for a sale the price is good for what you get but only when it is on sale.

I compared LG Gram 16 2 in 1 vs Lenovo Yoga 7i 15.6'' vs this Asus Zenbook vs Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360. LG Gram 16 is the lightest vs others. To be honest, all these laptops are not heavy. For me, there are not much of differences in my use case as I don't carry the laptop in my hand the whole day. In terms of built quality, I think Lenovo Yoga 7i and the Asus feel the best to me. Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 feels OK but the laptop is pricy as of now. Overall, I like the Asus Zenbook best due to the OLED screen. I think it has the best screen among these laptops and at usd799 on sale, it is a good value for the laptop. Asus Zenbook is my choice after doing all the comparisons for my use case and the amount of money I want to spend (less than usd1000).

Very nice laptop and I love how it can turn into a tablet. Love the touch screen function and the specs are all in all very good. I wish it had a dedicated graphics, but for it's purpose it's well equipped. Still can play video games on medium settings with an average frame rate of 20FPS. But I knew this laptop wasn't meant for gaming. Screen is excellent and the processor is fast. M.2 Drive isn't as fast as I have come to expect, as I have had others extremely fast and instant boot, but not this laptop. Battery life not as great as I would have hoped but not a deal breaker and the screen is beautiful with vibrant colors. I would still highly recommend it.

Great screen, lightweight machine with quirks

I got this machine for my daughter who’s headed off to college in the fall. She’s a music student and needed something which could handle multimedia well. I wanted her to be confident when editing her recordings that the machine wouldn’t bog down. We also needed something she could take to class for notes, but plug in easily to use a 2nd screen and full keyboard. I wanted something which would hold up to daily college life. At just under 4 pounds, this remains portable despite being 14” wide (15.6” diagonal screen). It fits easily in her computer bag and doesn’t weigh it down. The keyboard is comfortable to use, but the space bar sometimes doesn’t register. It has a numeric keypad which is a little skinnier than a standard keyboard. She was easily able to switch back and forth between the separate keyboard and that on the laptop. Intel’s Gen 12 processors raise the bar of performance vs. efficiency. In the Zenbook, that means 7 hours of real world battery life of taking notes, recording, and the editing which my daughter likes to do. Nothing felt slow, even switching between tabs with many open simultaneously. This is the first laptop I’ve gotten with an OLED screen. My phone has one, but it’s a true experience to have it so wide. I’m a little jealous of my daughter’s movie watching experience now, between the loud, clear sound on the Zenbook’s speakers and the sharp, vivid, & dynamic screen. We also really liked that the screen folds 360 degrees so it can be used as a tablet. When my daughter is playing piano, she can lay the laptop in portrait mode and tap through the pages of her score. The machine automatically senses it’s on its side and changes to portrait orientation. A few interesting quirks: When the screen is flipped over all the way, the keyboard is still active. If the machine is set down on an uneven surface in tablet mode, random letters appear in whatever document or input box is active at the time. Well, it hasn't seriously gotten in the way yet, I can see certain situations where it would be annoying. Another quirk is when plugging it in, either with the included power brick or a USB-C PD connection, the screen will go blank for a few seconds. This was how I discovered the car adapter I had was unreliable. The screen kept going blank and prevented my daughter from getting much done on the machine in the car. The space bar isn’t responsive near its ends. It really only works if you go about 2 fingers in from either side. None of these is a deal killer, but they keep me from recommending the Zenbook whole heartedly. For my daughter, the relatively low price on this machine is worth putting up with a few quirks. Overall, this is a generally well-built machine with good specs and a great screen. It’s certainly worthy of consideration for meeting your student’s needs.

For the price, this laptop delivers. Speed, check. Memory, check. Good looks, check. Picture quality, insane. My only qualm is that the battery life is not as long as I thought it would be. In an 8 hour work day, I find that I have to charge it during lunch - and that's after having charged it to 100%. Maybe it's the software I use at work (EMR) but I'm surprised at the discrepancy of the battery life. Oh well, solid laptop.

I bought it since Jan 2023, the 15.6-inch OLED touchscreen offers exceptional color accuracy and clarity, making it perfect for work and play. It comes with 12th Gen Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD to handle multitasking with ease. I just love the stylish blue copper finish and lightweight design, which adds a premium feel. Overall, it's a solid, high-performance laptop with a colorful display that's perfect for professionals, creatives, and students.

Great laptop! I've only been using it for a week, but seems great so far. The OLED display shows vibrant colors, Windows 11 runs quickly and very smoothly, it's light, so it's easy to carry, battery life is very decent. In general, I would say it's a great value for its price.

This thing is FAST!! The screen is GORGEOUS!!! And it’s perfect for work or creators. Inexpensive doesn’t mean incapable. I had a Surface Pro 6…this things destroys it. I’ve read people saying it feels flimsy because it’s made of aluminum…totally subjective. This things great. Highly recommended.

I just received and finished setting up the new Asus - Zenbook Flip 2 - In - 1 15.6" Touch Screen Laptop. The setup is pretty easy and routine as with most computers manufactured today. Asus has managed to combine a lot of todays desired features in one convenient device. It can be used as a non touch screen or a touch screen laptop or pretty much like a big tablet. The color super clear screen resolution is really great when viewing and editing some photographs from my wife's photo art hobby. It also gave a very pleasurable experience streaming a movie online. The sound is very sharp and clear from such small speakers, but then again why should I expect anything else. The speakers are Harmon/Kardon. Pandora sounded really good again for such small speakers. I love the fact that the keyboard is lighted, has a number pad on the right that I really missed on my last laptop and the letters and numbers on the keyboard are a bit larger than on previous laptops I have owned. The touch screen functions flawlessly with your finger or a stylus. It is a nice thin and light laptop that will cover just about any function you throw at it. Even high demand functions such as gaming and photo editing are handled with relative ease with its 16GB of ram and 1TB Solid State Drive. It may be a little more money that you were thinking of spending but you will not regret your purchase if you do buy this fine laptop

Strengths: Great screen, good processor and RAM, and the chassis feels quite sturdy. Good: Battery life, especially for an OLED with a 12th gen i7. At 80% brightness and web browsing, 7 hours easily, more if I use bluetooth headphones. Bad: Num pad. The laptop loses quite a bit of its premium feel because of this. ASUS, accountants are paid enough, they can buy a USB numpad. Save the rest of us from this ergonomic nightmare. Fixable bugs: It is somewhat limited by issues with tablet mode - it fails to switch back to regular laptop mode most of the time, requiring me to essentially switch it back to tablet mode and try again. Also, 2.8K is a weird resolution - many apps don't scale correctly (including ASUS's own software, which all look blurry). Luckily, these are all software issues, and can be resolved.

Purchased for my fiancé as she runs large stats programs and her old Dell could not keep up. Almost jealous I did not get one for myself as well! Computer runs smooth and fast, have had for a while and no issues so far! 16 GB ram allows for multiple windows to be open while running larger programs as well.

This is an amazing laptop - Fantastic battery life (up to 13 hours), great keyboard and trackpad, stunning OLED display. Can even play Overwatch 2 at 800p 120fps with the great thermal management Asus added in, plus it is 2-in-1 - amazing! So why did i return it? Speakers are horrendous. As others have noted, 0 bass and they distort beyond 40%. Tried disabling atmos, various equalizer settings to help, but they are just bad. Verified with 2 laptops. So do not buy unless you just need low volume or do not plan to use the speakers at all. Otherwise fantastic.

This is my second flip and fourth ASUS, I also have the 538. It seems to run very smooth and do the things I need as I go through various processes. I really like the versatility of the touch screen and the metal case. The screeen is very clear and bright which is great for me with some eyesight problems. Overall I recommend and so far Five Stars.

Purchased this laptop just over a year ago and it has been one of the best purchases I've made in years. The touchscreen is very responsive, it starts up in seconds every time, the Asus software is very easy to use to customize every aspect of it. The only issues I can really say I have with it is that it does not allow charging via usb-c/thunderbolt despite having the peripheral. It would have been nice for charging it on the go without having to lug around the provided ac charger. The next is the lack of USB-A ports. There's only one. This was remedied by purchasing a usb hub, but still would have been nice to have at least one more. Other than that, I'm totally satisfied with this laptop!
