I purchased this machine because all the i7 & 16GB RAM options in stores have a 4K screen, but I personally prefer the battery life improvements of a 1080p screen for this size laptop. I'm glad I ordered this - its an extremely thin laptop, with the lower body only marginally thicker than a standard USB-C port! I average 10 hours of general use battery life so far, which is great. The keyboard feels good and the touchpad is one of the better ones I've used on a Windows laptop. Because of how thin the laptop is, I actually find myself using it as a tablet more than other laptops I've tried. The screen is good and I personally like Asus' design choice in having the bottom of the screen "lift" the lower chasis to put it at an angle when resting on a table or desk. It has it's power button and volume rocker on the right side of the machine, along with a separate fingerprint reader. I think they should have combined the finger print reader and the power button, which I've seen other manufacturers do, but its a small nit-pick. Some people will probably be put off by the lack of ports other than USB-C and a 3.5mm audio jack, but frankly this is the direction of computing and eventually it won't be so bad; it's just we are in the middle of this transition and it's only slightly inconvenient - remember PS2 to USB? Personally, I love the idea of one port for everything, ESPECIALLY it's use of charging, which makes finding replacement or alternative chargers much, MUCH easier, and cheaper. Side note - if anyone else likes to use magnetic tipped USB-C cables for charging like I do, I am pleased to report that this model does NOT have it's lid sensor near the USB-C ports, so those cables will work (at least, I've tested the left side). A few other models of computers I used had their lid sensors located near the ports, which meant the computer went to sleep when I plugged in the charger. As far as included accessories, this laptop comes with it's pen, which is pretty standard on laptops in this price point, but I do wish it matched the color of the laptop (it's silver). However, it separates itself by including a nice metal USB-C dongle, which has one USB-C with power pass-through (to connect it's charger to), an HDMI port, and a USB-A port, which is pretty much everything a general user will need; but if you need wired Ethernet or SD card readers, you will need another dongle. All in all, I give this little laptop a solid 9/10 - with its only downsides being the small gripes I mentioned earlier (finger print and power button separation, and odd colored pen). The price is another downside - when this unit is it's normal price, it's hard to swallow versus other units that have a 4K screen, if you value that. But I personally snagged this on sale (the week of Black Friday) for $999.99, which was an amazing deal to me. It has everything I need and if it fits your bill too, I don't think you can go wrong.

I researched reviews and viewed many options of light laptops. My criteria was: had to be less than 3lbs, battery life of at least 10 hours, i7 processor, 512gb SSD and 16GB memory and USB-C technology. Asus presented the best, lightest,most cost effective option that included a stylus and USB-C docking hub to connect other devices. Straight out of the box performer! I transferred all related files and it's been humming along since. Right size, weight, speed and cost all rolled into one!

This laptop is very small,easy to carry,running very fast,price is good.I like it very much!

On paper this is a beautiful machine. When I got mine the touchpad would cut out intermittently and / or lag. I checked to see if I had the latest drive and then asked myself "this is brand new why am I trying to fix it already?"

I received this convertible as a gift and it is quite good. The quality is control is high and keyboard is a charm to use. Battery life I would say is average, nothing special. The screen bezel is a bit thicker than I would expect from a modern computer. The biggest perk of the this laptop is the value and how thin and light it is. I would recommend this purchase.

This computer is a complete waste of money. It keeps shutting down and the mouse is awful. I received $300 off, but it was definitely too good to be true.
