The only known name brand that has been known to make a quality product. Simple and trustworthy. It took a bit of searching to find this Asus DVD Drive.

It runs on any device with a USB input, (I added a USB A-male to USB C-female adapter to it.) It plays movies, audio, and data with no problem.

Users will need change default setting to allow drive to write/download to music library. USB is a bit short my only peeve.

It works great out of the box. It comes with a disc to download Cyber Link media suite.

For the most part it was fine, but as of recent I have been getting back into gaming and some of the older games are only available on disc. This reader is quiet, fast, and reliable. I would totally recommend it.

This one is perfect because it was an attached cord that cannot be lost. It's also type c, and gives clear playback on cd's. It was so good I had to adjust my spotify settings because I realized they weren't right for the best playback on streaming.

I have an older all in one PC and with the USB port being located higher on the PC the drive was partially suspended due to the cable being too short. 4” more of cable and I would have been able to use the drive. I could have put a book under the drive to fix the problem but have limited desk space. If you have a laptop thie cable length should not be an issue.

I recommend it to anyone who needs an external DVD/CDROM drive.
