The included software which is required to write to disks is very typical of how programs are 'bundled' for the installation. The support from ASUS is all but a wall of bounce you around their website. I had some questions but never found answers.

Helpful External CD drive

The ZenDrive was easy to set up and I was able to see and save the photos I wanted onto a stick. My daughter was able to use it to watch a DVD on her computer.

Great when you need a reliable DVD player

I bought a cheap knock-off from the big online store we all love to hate and I got 3 uses out of it for training presentations. I needed this in a pinch after the old one let me down in the middle of a presentation and I had to wing it. I've used this one since for 2 more and it works so much better. You can by a cheap brand but you get what you pay for and this is still a great value.

Better than the other writers I have used. Plus, it works with Windows 11. For reading, I use only 1 USB-A connector, for writing I use both to ensure writing quality.

ASUS External DVD+RW/CD-RW Drive--The Best!

It's very lightweight and goes wherever my laptop goes. I can now play some of my older dvds and cds as well as record using the drive.
