    This works well. I bought a cheap knock-off from the big online store we all love to hate and I got 3 uses out of it for training presentations. I needed this in a pinch after the old one let me down in the middle of a presentation and I had to wing it. I've used this one since for 2 more and it works so much better. You can by a cheap brand but you get what you pay for and this is still a great value.

    Very easy to use and very quiet. It comes with two separate cords instead of a single split cord - one cord for USB and the second cord for USB-C connections. It is a little slow to open and shut the door tray but as far as it working- it pops up fairly quickly on the laptop and plays CDs DVD's and Software disks.

    My new computer doesn’t have an optical drive. This drive works great. Easy to plug into usb port and works perfectly to read my CDs and DVDs. You can also write and store data with this drive. It was on sale the day purchased and easy pickup at local Best Buy store.

    The ASUS ZenDrive 8x Max External DVD+RW/CD-RW Drive works exactly as you would think. Even without the included software the device works just fine. The USB A and C connection options make this drive easily compatible with a variety of computers. The build quality is also good and mostly rigid. So far, it meets expectations but doesn't exceed them.
