Wholeheartedly recommend
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Turned my 3-story home with terrible wifi coverage into a house with strong signal, high-speed wifi everywhere. Super simple set-up and a great app make this a 5-star product.

Excellent router with incredible coverage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried several mesh systems and this Asus was one of the best. Coverage throughout the house was easily better than any other mesh system I have used. The app was decent (a little limited in functionality) and the web interface was very good. I only had once device (a thermostat) that had trouble connecting to it but everything else connected just fine. It has parental controls to help monitor and limit kids' internet usage. Ultimately, I returned it because I wanted a system that had much more customizability, but I highly recommend this mesh router for anyone who wants a fairly easy "set it and forget it" type of system for a medium to large size house.

After long setup-great product.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once set up, great product. After multiple calls to tech support (who were generally quite good), got the system up an running. I added a THIRD AX-T, and then even added a mesh compatible ASUS router for the garage (an RPC-AC 1900) because the signal through concrete walls wasn't reaching the front door camera. Things I like: The software is excellent. MUCH more user friendly than my old LUMA mesh system. My system is hardwired with CAT 6, which works very well. The speed is a definite improvement if you have fast internet (I have (1GbPs). I really like the included (for life, supposedly) Trend Micro powered firewall, as well as the included hardware firewall. I thought the instructions to set up were inadequate, and left a lot to be desired. You're almost certain to be on the phone with tech support.

Mediocre to Good at best.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Router has great range and fabulous network speed. I can't answer for internet speed cause my AT&T service is only 50/10. The reason why 4 stars it's because it requres a dual interface of having to use the App on my ipad and and local HTML access for remote controls. If you want a more granular method to setup and play with the multitude of settings you would use the HTML interface. Likewise, if you want to set family member groups and certain security parameters. Also, there are no clear instructions on how to set router behaviour. Anyway, to secure your home network environment for your family you should have some network knowledge. You can always call on your local Geek Squad for assistance. I really like the family security features that Trend Micro provides security as part of the router tools. Best of all Trend Micro is free and no fees for life.

Piece of garbage, don't buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Piece of garbage, don't buy. Constantly losing connections requiring rebooting the Asus router. Try reconnecting and it says the password is incorrect even thought the password is saved on the device and is actually perfectly correct. Some devices are able to connect while others aren't until yet another rebooting of the Asus router is performed. I log in to the administrator page and it takes forever to connect even though I'm connected via ethernet cable. Then it keeps unlogging me after a couple minutes, forcing me to re-log in. The administrative layout is weird compared to other routers I've used (Netgear, Cisco, Linksys) and the messages are full of grammatical errors. Also, the system is not able to connect to the 2nd 'mesh' unit. In the end a wifi router should not be this difficult and should perform well. This Asus router does none of this and is a complete bust

Almost great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I set my system up with 3 different SID's, 5 and 2.4 SID's and one 2.4 guest SID. All my wifi devices work great. I am still trying to figure out how/if I can assign a device to a specific SID. I have to cycle the main node twice because it lost connectivity to my cable provider. I did not need to reset cable modem, just cycle the main asus node. Ease of use is a 3 because I am not a pure mesh setup due to numerous 2.4 connections that would not connect in mesh mode or connected to the futherest (node real word) mesh node. Once I switched to multiple SID's my wifi devices outside connected a bit better. 27 wifi devices 300 mbps internet.

Worth it
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent coverage. I use 2 and it covers my 2800 square feet and most of my yard. The app could be easier to understand but set up was easy

Solved our issues

Simple and effective
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredibly easy to set up. I max out my ISP bandwidth (400gbps) almost anywhere in the house. My only complaint so far is that, every now and then, my cell phone seems to drop connection when I'm on the fringes, and then fails to come back when I'm back in the house.

Not so good for 2.4GHz devices.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The router definitely made the 5GHz devices a lot faster, but the 2.4GHz devices keep disconnecting from network, very annoying!

Love my new mesh system!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to have a dual band mesh system with 6 nodes spread on different levels of my house (2300 sqft). It was horrible. Worked sometimes but got increasingly unreliable. Maybe too many things trying to connect at the same time? Anyway, I first replaced that with these two nodes and the difference was immediately noticeable. Much faster with greater range. I have since added 2 more and so far I am loving this. I just hope things stay that way!

Rock solid connection
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have about 40 devices always connected in a 1800 Sq ft 2 story house. I wanted to upgrade from my ac68u that was more than 5 yrs old and this does not disappoint. I tried a single amplifi alien but the coverage was iffy on the 2nd story on the far end of the house. With the mode placed wirelessly in the middle of the 2nd floor, I am getting very good coverage and speeds around the house. After the initial firmware update I have not had to reboot the router or node once since I've owned it.

Best on market
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have 3 sets of these systems with one set wired to separate building via cat-8 100’ away—400-850 mbps throughout property with 40-50 wireless devices—system has worked flawlessly other than recent firmware upgrade that required a simple adjustment in channel; simple set up and monitoring with app. Although pricey, would highly recommend for blanketing whole property with consistent wireless. ‘

Fast, easy set-up and good range
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this system to replace a many-years old router that was just too slow at this point and didn't reach the whole house. I was able to set this new system up and get everything logged on in less than an hour and without any issues. We're now "up to speed" and have whole-house access.

Best router to date
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was replacement for Google Wifi (which was excellent). But range is much greater and speeds are the highest I've ever experienced. Highly recommended. Previously had older version of Orbi and because it kept dropping (and reviews of new Orbi Wifi 6 said the same), I opted for the Asus. Great Wifi 6 Mesh Router.

Fast with easy setup
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switching to AT&T fiber service, I ran into problems when using my old mesh routers (via pass through). Switching to the ASUS ZenWifi mesh system solved all problems with easy setup through the app. I get decent speeds throughout the house (2000 sq ft; two floors) and wifi speeds, when using wifi6 devices, are incredible. Very pleased with this purchase (bought on sale at $399).

Overall good, but not great
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the ASUS ZenWiFi AX at the same time I purchased the Orbis AX6600 (see that review). I have a 3,500 sq.ft. 2 story home with Xfinity 700mbps service. Now that I am working from home, I really need to access the connection speeds I am paying for. The ZenWiFi was REALLY easy to set up - only took ~5 minutes. LOVE the internet interface AND the app was WAY better than the Orbi AX6600. I am not an app person (old school), but ASUS app offered more functionality than Netgear’s app. It would be great if developers would offer an iPad version (landscape mode) for router apps - everybody doesn't use their phones! I also LOVED ASUS’ built in router security at no cost (Orbis are $99/year). I would have kept these routers if I could get the speed up to the 700mbps I am paying for. I could only get them to ~450mbps. I may keep them - still on the fence. They are better than anything I’ve tried so far…
