If you're looking for really decent WiFi 7 performance at a low-ish price, this is the place to go. I was thinking about switching to tp-link for my mesh needs but this system fits perfectly in my setup.

After a week or two, I’ve noticed that third one was having issues staying connect with the other ones. Near the end of the month, it would just cause major connection problems. Haven’t moved it and had restarted several times, but would always have a week signal. Eventually, the second one started to have issues as well. honestly, it could’ve been just me, but I’ve heard other people have the same issues

To resolve this issue, please try to power cycle both the Mesh router and your ISP's modem. Additionally, check if your ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable and check if the router's security credentials matches with your ISP's modem credentials. Also, we recommend updating the Mesh router firmware if it is running with an older version. Great for non congested areas

Bought it in September of 25 (Now Dec 2025) and it has had multiple firmware updates. The range isn't all that great. But, occasionally devices will connect to a different node (2 in the house, one in the garage) and have IP issues and get locked out of connectivity. It constantly drops nodes, it constantly switches and locks out devices. In the app, I can lock a device onto a certain node and that often solves some of the problems of them searching for the best node and (all strong connections) and getting IP issues where I have to reset network settings on the individual devices. Further, adding new smart devices is nearly impossible. It almost always requires a reboot of the entire system in order to accept any new device, which is a huge pain. When working, its decent speed, and the app isn't terrible for monitoring the system. Its just frustrating as its a lot less reliable than having just gotten a Wifi 6 setup. I wouldn't bother with this, and I love Asus stuff, I came from a previous Asus mesh system. This has been a steep downgrade from my 4 year old Asus mesh system. I'm out of my return window and will have to get something else.

Never connect to the network

My previous mesh system was the first gen google mesh pods that would give me around 400mb of speed through wifi. After setting this mesh system from asus now my speeds are at 700mb. This definitely helped

Good idea but poorly executed

Tried muliple locations, binding nodes, factory resets, multiple modes, etc. If you have a large area to cover, get a powerful access point and place it high up in the center of the space. Add an extender if need be - mesh just doesnt work well if you can’t have any disruptions to your internet connection. Love ASUS, just not this one.

I dumped TP-Link after seeing that the US may ban the product due to Chinese security risks. Setup was very easy using the Asus App. The only issue was the week signal 2.5GHz signal. Checking the settings, on Auto, it was only sending 2.5 GHz. After manually setting it to 5GHz, the signal was maxed out strong. Overall, pretty happy with these.
