But might be worth it for the coverage. both towers look the same, but do not act the same ones is the router the other the extender. Might want to wait till WiFi 7 ASUS system is out though because of the price. once setup nice very nice.

Also has a lot more options than routers that cost twice as much..

I love it

Might be my old apartment building but when using the wireless backhaul nodes had trouble connecting to eachother

The set up was easy and after firmware updates these nodes have been functioning well. I would say they are a bit more complicated to set up than Eero but there is more control in return. Signal strength is really fantastic in my setup.

Asus saved my house

This was overkill but i just had 9 months of a nightmare when i switched to Google Nest Wifi. The Asus works like a dream. It sounds silly but after 9 months of kids fighting and tv going out at the climate of the movie or during the superbowl the ASUS is Perfect.

I had access to the tier 2 tech support with all 'supervisors', but they aren't empowered to do anything other than send messages to repair team. There is an office of the CEO for complaints, but in my experience they are not able to expedite, and instead act as a witness to the process. I've bought many Asus networking products over the years, and after this experience with their support and repair teams, I won't make that mistake again. This is a high priced item with terrible service. Buyer beware.
