As a phone it's great, if you just give up on the screen. I put in batteries that weren't brand new but all tested to have good charge. They died in a week or so. The screen still works somewhat; we don't really need the screen anyway.

If you have the space, this is a very nice phone at a nice price. We like to keep one simple wired phone in the house in the event of power failure. The voice quality is good and the caller ID display is excellent.

Needed a basic land line phone with large numbers and this works great. The sound is good and there are added features I like - hold and redial buttons, speaker for hands free and programming a call list. For the cheap price, it's a good buy.

I needed a wall hanging phone and this one is perfect. It was easy to convert this desk top with no extra stuff to do it. You just had to move two things on the phone to make is wall hanging. Well pleased

The product meets most of my expectations, but a couple of things are disappointing. First, both ringer settings are too loud. So I turned the ringer off, and just listen for other phones on the line to ring. Second, the display is not lighted, so it's difficult to impossible to read in low ambient light conditions. Other than that, it does everything I need a desk phone to do at a reasonable price.

I just wanted a basic corded phone to have as a back-up in case of emergencies. The sound on this one is clear, and the buttons are large enough for me.

I needed a small phone with caller id next to my desktop. This phone fits my needs, and the price was right.

I liked the first phone, so added a second one. It has a useful number memory, speakerphone, caller ID, and adjustable ringer volume functions

Needed a corded phone for when the power goes out. This one replaced an older phone that stopped working. This one has caller ID, simple features, and is easy to use. The only drawback is that the screen can't be read while sitting down. The viewing angle is pretty poor. Other than that, it should last a long time.

Bought this phone as a replacement for a much older desktop phone that did not have called ID. The speed dial is easy to program and the speakerphone works great.

The display can be better if it's lit. I like this model because it doesn't require an external power source. The display on our previous CL2909 went ka-flooey with broken characters after about 5 years. The rest of the phone worked well. Hope this one lasts. It's overall quality appears to be better than one of similar style made by VTech. However the VTech has a better display.

This is for my mother who is blind to use hands free button (which is continently located at the bottom right corner) and one touch speed dial to call my dad or me. Product works fine, and it did not take my mom too long to learn the buttons.

Rather than spending $70.00+ on a new cordless phone battery this phone in the low $20.00 price range was perfect. Great sound and love the speaker phone feature for waiting on HOLD !

This phone was bought for an 80 year old that could not figure out how to answer a cordless with the green phone button. This one is something like the old fashioned ones we use to have in the 60's. all you do when it rings is pick it up and your connected, hang it up you are disconnected. How easy can I make it.

We needed a replacement for our landline phone. Especially like the buttons for one-touch dialing of frequently called numbers.

Nice phone for the price. Seves well as a wall phone. No data line connection. Caller ID should be brighter.

This is a very nice phone. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the screen is a little smaller than I would like it but other than that, great buy!

This is a good phone and covers all the basics needed. I didn't need an answering feature and this has everything else!

If you require a very basic corded phone with good sound this is a nice phone. But the display is quite hopeless unless viewed from just the right direction with good lighting. I use as a wall mount and can read absolutely nothing unless viewing dead on and with a flashlight to provide light! If you need to see any display you should look elsewhere.
