We needed to replace our old phones and this system was a good price. I like the talking caller ID and the answering machine records clearly. I like how it shows the number of new messages on the display and the ability to playback from each handset. The Silent feature is nice as my wife works late and sleeps during the day. It can easily be set (the # key turns it off or on and the number keys set the hours) for the number of hours you want to silence the phone so if you forget to reset the system it turns back on by itself, it also automatically turns on the answer machine when this feature is selected. The drawback to the silent mode is that it shuts the ringer and announcement off on ALL the handsets and cannot be selected for only one, you would have to manually turn the ringer off and on for a single unit, this is one reason it only earned 4 stars. This is otherwise a very nice phone system, Intercom function, large lighted display, large lighted keypad, but no lights under the on and off buttons or the multifunction selector button, why bother to light everything but these? the other reason for 4 stars.

I was looking for a coddles phone set, which has more than 3 bases, speaker phone, good battery life, and answering machine. This phone set is easy to set up and display panel is big enough to read well. I really like the quality of speaker mode. It is not too loud or hard to hear. Good quality of sounds and clearly hear other party. I surely recommend this to someone who is looking for a phone set.

I bough this for my mother-in-law to replace an old AT&T cordless phone system she had for years (10+). The clarity and range of this phone is superb. I like the walkie-talkie feature. I was able to name the phones based on their location in her house. Using the walkie talkie (two-way radio) feature you can connect the phones and talk to whomever is in the room . You can also connect to all phones. The price was good considering that you get 4 phones. Personally, I don't have a house phone because I rely on my cellphone but I would recommend this to people that have house phones. One thing that my mother-in law mentioned she really liked was that the buttons were much bigger which made it much easier for her to see the numbers and dial the right numbers. Looking at the old phone system and this new one, the new phone has a better ergonomic design.

I had been looking for a cordless phone system with 3 to 4 phones. The AT & T Expandable Cordless Phone System is Digital Answering System is great quality, has great features, at an amazing price. I am delighted with this purchase.

This phone was easy to set up. Plus, when one phone address book added under directory, automatically updates on other phone/handset. Has lots of features too for the money. Only negative appears to be when one phone on mute for ringer, automatically mutes other phone/handset too. Other than that, great phone for the money!

Fine reception, reasonably easy to use. Very simple to set up. Reception, battery life, etc. are all excellent.

We had to replace our phones and selected this model because of the many features it has. Much easier to use than our last phone and it has nice big numbers for our aging eyes.

Based on the description that said this phone has large display numbers and several units, I bought this item for my Aunt and Uncle who live a distance from me. Their old phone was on the fritz. They were thrilled when their new replacement arrived at the door. They said it was easy to connect themselves and not only could they see the numbers easily, but the phone audibly announced the incoming caller. It has made their life much easier. I haven't seen the phone system first hand, so I base my rating on what they told me. They have not had it long enough to test durability, but it seems that they are happy and would recommend it.

Had an older AT&T phone that required a manual transfer to use a different handset than the one that answered the call. It took some investigation to be sure the new handsets didn't require a transfer. This phone has all the features one would need and more. The purchase was a gift for someone who had problems reading the display without glasses. The display is bright , and type big enough to make for easy viewing. It even has an options for voice announcement of the caller id.

We had an older 5.8ghz GE set that we could no longer get batteries for and would cause my WiFi to drop out every time the phone rang (apparently it was on a competing signal for the base to base paging that was not adjustable). These are used for hours at a time on speaker phone since I work from home a lot (some days up to 3 hours straight without the phone dying on me). LOVE THEM but wish they had the custom ring tone feature our old phones did.

Love having 4 handsets, this phone is very user friendly and easy to set up, loud ringers on handsets, answering machine could be louder. You can play your messages back on the handsets. The handsets are comfortable to hold,. easy to read large display and the buttons light up. Very happy with these phones.

Overall a very good sounding phone with all the features I wanted. Easy to use and set up. Excellent value for the price.

Like the easy set up, programming, and directory which is great for finding and calling fast. Phones have range of 50 feet or more and they are still clear. when purchased did not know the phone would say the name of the caller, this is a wonderful option. The built in walky-talky feature worked great when husband had recent surgery. Great product. One suggestion - would be nice if 1 or 2 wall hangers for satellite phones were to come with set.

Finally had to replace my phones. This had everything I was looking for. Enough handsets that I could put one in each kids room and use the intercom feature to contact them if they are up in their rooms. Simple features make answering machine easy to use.

Aging parent needed a landline phone with features that could be adjusted to their individual needs: Can increase the number of rings giving them time to get to the phone before the answering machine picks up; has back-lit keys, so they can dial in dim/low lighting; expandable - a handset in every room so they need not remember to transport handset when leaving a room; digital answering machine - no need to dial into phone service provider's message center to retrieve messages; hands free/speaker - can multitask; several volume levels. The favorite feature seemed to be the call id name announce because they would not need to look at the phone to see who is calling. Exactly what this senior individual needed. Very happy with the decision to purchase this phone.

So far it's been a good a good system. The only problem my wife and I have is the ring is not loud enough but my wife and I have hearing problems. But other than that it's been easy to use. Still haven't tried out all the features and looking forward to the intercom system.

My old phone finally died so I bought this one. It's very intuitive to use. You can see how many messages you have on the display. The phone is lightweight and the numbers are easy to read. I like the handset locator. For the price, it's a bargain for two phones.

Bought these phones as an upgrade for my parents' old clunky home arrangement. Took me about 20 minutes to get them all set up, but they have raved about the improvement: much better sound quality, no range or cutting out issues, nice big buttons for old eyes to see, with a clear digital read-out of who is calling. The only gripe is the ring tone selection: although there are about a dozen to choose from, most are really obnoxious, with grating electronic bleeps and bloops.

This system is very attractive, and I like the size of the buttons. So often the face of a phone is too small/hard to read, but this one is nice sized and easy to use. I like the fact that it has so many (four) total - I have them all over the house and it is very convenient.

The range is pretty good, and I like how light they are. What's nice is that I don't need to buy 4 separate phones with this set. It has a fair price, too. The sound quality is ok. Some callers have trouble hearing me.
