    We had the previous generation of this phone and liked it, so when the old one finally died we searched for something similar. This one has an easy to use answering system and the handsets can be wedged between your ear and shoulder (unlike many other models).. We are able to put a handset on every floor of the house. Haven't tried the push to talk yet, but may be great for getting the kid to the supper table.

    . Older cordless could be accessed by a neighbor because they had the same phone and was within the distance from the base. For these phones, even if someone else has the same phone they can't access you phone line. Each phone has to be individuallly link to the base so no other phones on the same signal can access your phone line. No more hour long calls to his cousin in Canada on my phone bill.
