Just like any other Atelier game-- but better

Charming, sweet, and full of enough math to qualify you for several Harvard business school credits, the Atelier games are all basically the same deal: Cute young girl fights off evil while making swords, pies, and bombs with her magic cauldron, aka using alchemy. If you like item creation systems, in other words, this is the series for you. Lulua does the same things, just better than the previous titles in the series. While the story may be (very) slow to start, it makes up for any sluggishness with delightful characters, wonderful music and graphics, and peerless alchemical item creation, the heart and soul of the series. The DLC is a little- a lot- overpriced, but the main game is legit. You like any of the things mentioned above- Atelier games, cute chicks, alchemy- then you're in for a gem.

This game is another in a long line of Atelier games, and the fourth in the Arland saga. Upon trying this game out and seeing what it was like, I have to say that the first word that came to mind was: Cute. Lulua and the cast of characters, as well as their interactions with others and the objects around them, are simply adorable. Lulua is an incredibly cute character and I rather like that. Now, is the game all cutesy stuff? So far, after having played it for a short while, my answer would be yes and no. This is definitely a product geared towards teenagers and above. A young child might not understand a lot of what is being said or even understand the concept of alchemy, which is a major selling point of these games. Alchemy in the Atelier games can be a complex system that takes some getting used to. The same holds true for this game and with all the different ways you can craft items and equipment, it's definitely worth investing time in. As I said before, I wouldn't recommend this game for young children, as they're still learning and this game might be a bit too complex for them. However, as a hardcore gamer and someone that enjoys a good RPG such as this? I have to say that I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for an in-depth, enjoyable RPG/story driven experience. I would also recommend this game to anyone that really just wants to unwind with an insanely cute game to balance out all the crazy in their everyday lives.

I've been playing various entries of the Atelier series for the past few months and Lulua is probably my favorite one. It's definitely not for everyone but it has it's own niche audience of people who like RPGs that are more crafting focused.

Altelier Lulua is fun pretty and is a good entry into an already streamlined series of successful and quickly developed GUST properties. Enjoyable to play, with a fun and simple story and simple yet enhancing battle mechanics great 2019 conclusion to Arland.

This is my first game in the Atelier series and I am happy. The gameplay is turned based. I feel I probably should have played the Arland trilogy before but it is still good. I highly recommend it. Others might be upset at Sony's censorship policies but it's okay.

One of the best game series for PS4, PS3 and PS2. Highly recommended. Is often overlooked by gamers and there's not enough publicity for it.

Great new title in the Atelier series. The only downside is that there is an absurd amount of expensive DLC that costs more than the base game.

I would play the first 3 in Arland before this, although it's not unneeded. I'm just a stickler for playing order.
