I Love It! As soon as I put it up I wanted to order another!

I am extremely happy with this shelving unit. The assembly wasn't difficult but I recommend using a power screwdriver for attaching the back panels because it's done with screws rather than nails. I would also wait until last to attach the base so the unit can lay flat on the floor as it would be frustrating trying to line the panels while it's standing up. I read someone claim that the shelves eventually bowed from the weight of DVDs. I can't imagine how this would happen because the unit is very sturdy. It's true that the ends of DVDs hang slightly over the edge but I don't see how anything falls off. Even if I paid the original price of something like $125 I would still say it's a great purchase.

You will need a helper or two but sturdy shelf when done. Holds a lot of dvds.

Took a little time to put together, but totally worth it.

Does exactly what I needed it to do. Holds my blu-rays well.

I have owned several media towers over the years and this is by far the best media storage shelf I've owned. It's very sturdy and it looks great a wonderful way to display your movie collection.

The picture speaks for itself. $3600 in movies under this failed piece of furniture. Its honestly my fault for going so cheap.

Bought my first media rack eight years ago and bought my second one last year and was very surprised that Best buy still carries the same model

Assembly fail!!! Dont waste your money! Don’t recommend at all! That is a first total negative from me. Got ready to put top snd bottom together. Totally horrible design - wood broke then connector broke. Tried taking some screws on back off (is better than nails) to allow movement. Helped with one of twinement prodlems of the four one is unrepairable. Best buy give me a refund! And dont sell this poor design.

I own 2 of these storage cabinets now and im very happy with them. You have plenty of space to work with for organizing your collection and it holds everything very well. The downside to this product is the setup for it. Building this thing can be a huge pain. You are only given the exact amount of screws and other pieces to build this thing, no extras. So if you lose a small peg or screw and you dont have any extras lying in a tool box you're gonna have a bad time. Now, even with all the tools, the wood this thing is made out of is a bit flimsy so you have to be careful while building. Id recommend a 2nd person help you towards the end because you will have 2 halves of this thing, the top and the bottom and you have to attach them and lock them. You should also drill this thing into a wall, it comes with screws and other things to let you do that, because it can be very wobbly. Again, this is a great storage cabinet, i love the look and the space it gives me but i hate building it.

I purchased this when it was on sale, I believe it was 50% off so I only paid $50 for it. Best Buy almost always has this on sale, it's currently $75 on their website. I'm not sure if I would pay the full $100 MSRP but that's just me being cheap. I'm not quite sure why people are complaining about this. The setup was really easy. It took my wife and I about 12 minutes to have this setup and secured to the wall. The whole tower is in two parts: a bottom and top half. They were easy to line up and stack on top of one another. The backing material is broken into four sections that were extremely easy to lineup and secure. It's a textured back that looks nice, I also liked that they included screws to hold the back together with perforated holes that made everything line up. It wasn't like other backing material where you have to line it up manually and use small nails, which never work, to hold it in place. My only complaint is the top half is secured to the bottom half using those weird metal spokes that are screwed into place. Those aren't really secure and they often allow the media towers and bookshelves they are used for to bend in the middle. It also means that you can't pick up the towers/cases by the top to move them. Other than that, this is a solid media tower. I currently have over 500 Blu-ray movies in it and still have the whole bottom row before it's filled. It looks nice in my media room and stores all of my movies.

I was very hesitant to purchase this item after reading some of the reviews. Some people said it was too fragile, too hard to put together, instructions were hard, so on and so on. Thank god I didn't listen. The storage cabinet is fantastic. I had it built in under 45 minutes by myself. The look of the cabinet is fantastic. Compared to the prices of storage cabinets out there this is a bargain. I do aknowledge that the cabinet is not made of solid material (I am able to pick the whole thing up alone after it's put together) but that's the least of my concern. All the pieces came together great and after placing the wall mounts on the side of the cabinet, it's very sturdy. It's been 2 weeks since I set it up. I have a collection of games, tv shows and blu rays and they look great in the cabinet. The only thing to look for is that the top shelve is smaller than the others (they are all fixed shelve's and can't be adjusted). To give you an idea, I placed my Nintendo DS games on the top shelve for a perfect fit. All in all this was a great purchase and I plan on getting another one once this one fills up.

I have to preface this by saying I am hardly an opinionated shopper. If it serves its purpose, I'm generally happy. The quality of this product is so poor that I actually searched for this product online with the specific intent of writing this review, months after the initial purchase (which I will explain below). I think where I went wrong is that I am one of the few people that actually exercises the limitations of this product. My entire DVD, CD, & video game collection fit in this piece of furniture, and with room to spare; it has an incredible amount space. Cheap building materials & poor engineering really ruined the experience. Each cubby hole is surprisingly shallow, leaving most of the DVD case hanging out. That said the foundation of the entire piece is a large, but low quality, plank of particle board. As I said earlier I actually exercised the limits of this product, and used the top shelf to house my CD's as illustrated (300+ in my collection). The weight of the jewel cases at the very tip-top, mixed with the extremely malleable particle board, made the furniture slowly warp and lean forward. Less than 6 months after the purchase I had CD's and DVD's falling everywhere. I did not find the construction of this product particularly difficult or confusing. This product held more than I expected, and I was pleased that I was able to organize my ENTIRE collection easily, which is important to me. If it would have worked out, the price would have been okay, but as it stands there is no longevity to justify the $99 asking price.

This is the second time I purchase this stand. The first was the older model with the small shelf on top. That was my favorite style, but unfortunately it broke during a move. I now own the newer model with the small shelf in the middle. I recently built the stand. Definitely quicker with two people but one person can manage. The rating is at 4 stars because the stand does its job. It can accommodate many movies and the brackets secure to make sure it doesn't fall over. However, please be aware that this is a very flimsy and delicate structure. Without any weight it can easily tip over and break. Also, i would suggest using wood glue to secure each part when building for a more sturdy stand. Overall, this is a cheap stand but with proper care can last a while and do it's job.

Oka, where to start? I am a female and have put many bookshelves and cabinets and furniture together in my lifetime, so I thought this would be easy-peasy... I have never been more frustrated, among other things, with this shelving unit. The instructions were easy to follow as was the initial build/assembly. The problem I came across was the fact that the top part and the bottom part would not stay together! I was putting on the backing (holy Moses, that's a lot of screws!) and got to a certain point towards the center on the two pieces when they flew apart and one of the top shelves busted. I grumbled a bit and "secured" the two pieces together again, fixing the broken shelf as best I could. Then I started back on my journey to the top. I had less than a million screws to go (in all honesty, it was probably about 10) when the top part fell off again, this time falling on top of my head. Luckily it didn't break anything on me even though another shelf broke a little bit, and the only thing I got was a headache on top of the mental one I had from assembling this stupid thing. I wanted to throw this thing out the window, but I was too invested... and I actually need this shelving unit. With over 400 dvds and blue rays and then games from Xbox and wii, I needed something that could hold a lot. So, with that in mind, I "resecured" the two halves once again and fixed the broken shelf. I finished the backing and proceeded to pick it up to set it against the wall... which is where my loving husband thought it'd be nice to ask if I wanted any help... ummm... Lol. I screwed that baby to the wall (the shelving unit, not my husband), organized all my items the way any OCD would and called it a day! It was an awful put together and took way longer than it should have but overall it holds the amount it says... and that's the most important thing. But I don't even want to think about the idea of me moving it lol... 3 stars because it ultimately is what I needed, just wish it wasn't a literal pain to put together.
