First off plan on anchoring this to a wall. It is tall and by the time you load it up you don’t want it to tip over. Yes the hardware could be better—but even with better screws there’s not much wood to grab. Be careful—this isn’t a solid oak cabinet! Too much force and the wood will split. Take your time with a helper and it goes together easy. I put two next to each other and connected them and then anchored to the wall with additional screws. Looks good.

This shelf is made with extremely cheap parts and the instructions are not 100% accurate as to how to build it. Even if it was made of high quality parts and would put together without any hiccups, you are still left with an incredibly flimsy shelf that isn’t good for holding anything besides NSW or PSP games.

Great media shelf to hold a lot of DVDs and video

We bought 2 of these media shelves to put into our entertainment room in our new house. One shelf we are using to put all video games on it, and the other one is all DVDs. There is a lot of storage on the shelves and everything fits nicely! The shelves weren't terrible to assemble. For the first one we put the one piece on backwards so we had to unscrew it and reassemble. By the time we put the 2nd one together we knew exactly what we needed to do. Just pay careful attention to where the holes are on the pieces. It took maybe about an hour or so for us to put the shelf together, so not too long. The shelf is overalll good quality but a little flimsy. We definitely needed to anchor it to the wall otherwise it would fall over. Once it's anchored though, it's very sturdy and is exactly what we needed to hold all of our games and DVDs. Recommended!

Nice little media shelf. Is pretty much what you expect for the price. The shelves are made of a fairly flimsy carbon board material, but they do the job and look nice enough with the finishing that they have on them.
The shelf doesn't really stand freely on it's own though. Definitely requires the use of the wall brackets, which isn't a problem for me, but if you have restrictions on drilling holes in the walls, you will probably need to look elsewhere.
A word of warning when assembling: I found it a lot easier to put the back-boards on first before attaching the top half of the shelf to the bottom, even though the instructions say to do it the opposite way. When I did it the way the instructions said, the dowels and the posts that go into the cam locks dislodged a bit and the top shelves became uneven, so I had to take the top part off and re-attach it. Fortunately it didn't break, but it was definitely spooky.

After putting together the case was a little disappointed with the fact that it tilts, and does not stand well on it’s own, and didn’t have enough screws. However afterusing the wall brackets this is solid and holds alot of movies!!! Worth the money and make sure you use the wall brackets!!!

I bought one of these to get my movies out of the boxes I had them in and display them in an organized fashion. Well, I had more movies than I thought so I bought another. It was fairly easy to put together and looks nice on my wall. I used the brackets to secure it to the wall but I'm still nervous about it falling over. All things considered, it's a nice media display.

The unit is super flimsy until you get the backing on, and I recommend a second set of hands holding it while putting the back panel on. You definitely have to anchor it to the wall. But overall very pleased with this- perfect solution for the amount of storage, and you can't beat the price.

Easy to assemble and holds a good amount of DVDs. This is my second one. My issue is I am forced to have a section of shelves that are too small for DVDs and I don't use the shelves for CDs. Little more sturdy would be nice, too.

This is the 3rd one I have bought because of the price and simplicity of the product. It is very easy to put together and holds a lot of movies. The only down side is that if it is not against a wall or anchored it will fall back due to the weight.

Take your time and have a friend. Easy assembly and be sure to anchor to wall. MIne is almost filled with cds and blu rays. A very small footprint is very good. Takes very little floor space. HIghly recommend this rack.

Assembly was pretty easy since each piece was labeled. The shelf assembles in two large halves leaving a small section between them. This is a wasted space and I would rather have the two sections fastened together with no space between them. I think it would make it more sturdy. Definitely anchor the shelf to the wall. Overall a good product for the price.

I'm thrilled with this. I was looking for something relatively cheap that wouldn't take up too much space. This is exactly what I wanted. I like the form factor better than anything else I looked at (at any price). Reading other reviews, I was a little concerned that it might be too flimsy, but it seems sturdy enough. It looks great, has a huge capacity and I love that the shelves are only 4.5 inches deep so that the DVDs extend beyond the edges. If you are putting this together by yourself (as I did), I suggest leaving the base off until after you have put the back panels on. That way you can put the back on while the unit is on the floor. Be careful to make sure the lower panel extends a little so that it can eventually connect to the base. After the back panel was attached (with too many screws - I wish they used nails) I turned the unit on its side to install the base.

Great dvd storage unit. Stores all kinds of media and decorations. Easy to put together and fits on the wall allowing the door to still open all the way. Will definitely reccommend this unit to others. Wish I had more wall space to put more units. Great size for small rooms andeven hallways.

Fits Blu Rays, CD's and DVD's. It does kinda bend in the middle, so be sure it's at a slight angle against the wall before you nail the top sides down, so it doesn't bow put.

Ok. This thing does what it’s supposed to do. It’s big. It’s unstable. Wall anchors are very important. Other than that, the capacity for vhs storage has been the best option. Not impressed, Nor disappointed.

I have 6 of these and they are perfect for all my needs. They are so universal that 3 of the media shelves I own are being used to display model cars. Perfect size & perfect fit. However, make sure the shelf is flat against the wall or it'll tip.

be careful when assembling to support the entire back of the unit or it will crack in half - still useable. Also needed to tilt the units back a bit with shims underneath (so CD's don't fall out) and anchor to wall. good closet storage for the money, not for display

Not necessarily top of the line in terms of quality and space and sturdiness, but if you're on a budget with not a lot of space, this shelf is definitely worth it. I've had two so far.
