Functional. The joint in the middle is a little weak but as long as it remains in one place after assembly, fastened to the wall, as instructed, it is fine.

I love having my favorite movies on disc, now have around 375 disc and adding more all the time. I was in need of a shelf that looks good and didn't break the bank. It's made of inexpensive material but is more then strong enough to hold all my disks. It's black and it's back board has a cool looking carbon fiber look that I love. Definitely recommend.

This shelf is great. The picture does not do it justice because it is quite large. It works great at storing all of my blu-rays and I have plenty of room to spare. It is also easy to put together (only took about 45 minutes). Overall this a great shelf.

I'd purchased this shelf some 5 years ago and bought another one to meet my needs. Alas, I received a newer version. The unit I received has the CD sized shelf in the middle of the rack (between shelves 4 and 5, rather than at the top. It's also about an inch taller. The eight locking bolts that held the two halves together are now four and the glue does not hold them in place. Applying the back is an interesting proposition, since there are no pre-drilled holes. For the money, it was worth it (I got it on sale for $65), but I'm never excited when the product doesn't match the picture online.

Held majority of my DVD collection. You will need to mount this on the wall to keep it steady for support. Otherwise, item as described. Good value for the price.

This is the second media tower like this that I've bought. I need space for many DVD's and Blu-Rays, and this one is pretty good. Not the most durable when moving, but overall a good shelving unit

I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 because of the assembly time required. Other than the assembly the product is excellent. It holds about 76 Blu-rays per row, about 64 DVD's per row & about 90 CD's for it's designated row. These numbers are based on them being vertically placed in the storage unit. There are a total of 9 rows; 8 for Blu-rays/DVD's & 1 for CD's. You could use the whole storage unit for CD's, but would have so much space available unless you place them horizontally & have a ginormous amount of CD's. I definitely recommend having a power drill if you decide to get this product to reduce your assembly time by at least 60%. I also recommend to have a lot of space for the assembly.

Overall this item is very good. Lots of space for all media platforms from VHS to DVDs. Definitely need to install wall supports as the unit is top heavy.

It's great for storing my movies and CD's but it is very good at the bottom but the top is very weak. They should at least use bigger screws or something bigger so the top won't fall over. But it is great for what it is for.

Doesn’t stick out real far from the wall, which is a plus as space is limited in my family room. Not too hard to put together either. Overall, happy with the purchase.

The DVD book shelves that I purchased were nice and not so hard to install. They were however a little flimsy . After fastening shelves in accordance with instructions they stroll had a tendancy to come apart in certain areas.

Easy to assemble and holds alot. Safest to pick up in store as it did arrive damaged from shipping. Customer service was very good to work with to get a replacement and ship a new one. After Christmas I ordered another one and picked it up in store. Very nice product and very good customer service!

Great, holds a lot. Only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because it's very flimsy and wobbly if not mounted to the wall, which isn't allowed where I live.

Tons of space, easy to assemble. Comes with the ability and hardware to anchor it to your wall for additional safety to keep it from tipping over.

Been looking for a good movie storage,for my movies and I really liked this one , was a good price ,and was easy to build and holds up very well... will be getting another soon...

Got this case to consolidate a few older shelves. Reviews were mostly good and the size fit my needs. Being on sale dd not hurt either. It took a while to assemble. It was not difficult but was time consuming. Putting on the backing was the hardest part and worked better with 2 people. Attaching the top and bottom halves also worked better with 2 people. While the pre-drilled holes in the backing are helpful, it would have been better still if they had left some guide holes in the wood on the back of the case as well. Once assembled it looks nice and is large enough to house most of my CD and DVD collections.

Easy to assemble, plenty of room for the largest movie or music collection with out taking up coveted space in your family entertainment area.

So while this definitely has all the storage space I need, the locking nuts that connect the top to the bottom dont seem to fully engage making it semi unstable. If it wasnt fastened to the wall it would definitely fall over. But since its fastened to the wall it's doing its job wonderfully
