I had a traditional 5 shelf bookcase that I used for my dvds and blurays but soon found that I had too many. The spacing didn't allow me to add another shelf and I had to stack movies on it and it looked terrible. I finally found this media case and decided to buy it. I am so glad I did! It is only slightly wider than my previous bookcase and the shelves are adjustable, I have extra Im not using. My stacks of movies are no more, they all fit on this case perfectly and I even have space. The case itself is made of cheap boards not wood but it does what its designed to do. Only thing is the mahogany color seems to look black in color rather than darker brown. Took an hour or so to assemble it, didn't need to mount it to the wall as the base is pretty stable.

For ready to build shelving this one is not a bad choice. It comes with more than enough shelves to configure to your liking. You will need to be careful with the hardware as it is not of the highest quality but will hold everything together just fine.

If u have a bunch of dvds or bluerays this will work for u. The directions are terrible though keep that in mind.

We were specifically looking for a bookcase type DVD storage unit. I did a google search and of course being an Elite Service Member at Best Buy always like to go there when I can. In this instance, Best Buy had the best deal and even though i only saw this online it was even better in person. It was relatively easy to set up except for one point when i had to rest the thing on it's front - the unit has a "lip" on the bottom and resting it on the front cause the unit to separate a little but in the end i hope it's not a long term problem. The unit is big, holds an incredible amount of DVDs and is almost perfectly deep for DVD and not too deep like a standard bookcase. My only 2 issues with the unit are one mentioned above during the build and that in general the unit is not super robust, but for the price it's fine and as i said, hopefully will hold up for years - we plan on keeping it in the same place and not moving it around.

Not difficult to put together if you have some experience. Might be a little more difficult for a first timer. The wooden pegs could fit a little more snug. I suggest using wood glue. It goes together in two sections, top and bottom. On the top the vertical boards connect to the base with screws. The holes drilled for them are too wide. It works but causes those boards to feel a little loose at first. It feels more sturdy once you connect top an bottoms and nail the back on.

Excellent shelf, it holds my game collection very well and was a breeze to put together!

this is not the most fancy storage case but it definitely does the job. It's exactly perfect for what I needed. I have a mix of DVD's and CD's grouped together utilized the entire space. Excellent item and set up is not too difficult if you have even a minor do-it-yourself mentality.

Rack holds a large amount of CD's. Box came a little damage from shipping. I checked contents good and all pieces were ok. Rack was easy to assembly and I would recommend.

I've had and had a few shelving units from Atlantic Oskar shelves. This set is not as good as previous shelves. The general quality was lower compared to the others I've bought. And the shelves you in insert had less depth so it didn't seem as stable.

I had a smaller one and found myself needing to upgrade. Because of the layout of my living room I couldn't get a second smaller one and make it work, so I got one big one. All of my movies fit nicely, spread out, with some other nick-knacks on the shelves to help break it up. The only thing I was disappointed in is that the shelves don't come out to the edge of the bluray cases, so they hang over a little bit.

I use this specifically for displaying and storing my NES, SNES, and Genesis game collection. It is perfect for that purpose. I knocked it one star because the build quality is a little lacking. I own 4 of these and all 4 had an issue with poor cam lock fittings. I had to use L-brackets to reinforce the structure.

Got this on sale and it was a good value. It holds my movie collection, but was a bit challenging to assemble.

I purchased this media cabinet under the assumption that it was going to look exactly like the ones that I had purchased several years earlier. Much to my dismay it wasn't. Not only was it built rather cheaply, the shelves did not extend to the end of the cabinet like the older version. I also had some serious problems with screw holes not matching and the cardboard backing wouldn't line up correctly. Thank goodness this is the last one I will have to purchase since I ran out of room on my wall.

Inexpensive shelving unit for DVD collection. Not a quality piece of furniture but for the price a very functional for the purpose it was designed for.

Decent cabinet for the price, but easier to set up with 2 people. Would highly recommend anchoring cabinet for extra support.

I love this storage solution for my media. I needed something that was large enough to house all of my blu-rays, dvds, and cds, but that also matched my living room furniture. I came across this shelf and it is the perfect size, color, and has great functionality!

I've used this to replace three standard bookshelves. They wasted space, whereas this maximizes it! Typical home construction product. Made of typical materials. Only shelf I could find like it.
