Heavy headset. Sounds way better than the nova pros but i ended up giving these away. I rather deal with lesser audio quality than uncomfortability. These are really heavy and had to return wicked cushions bc it made it worse, which is a first. If Audeze/ sony makes a lighter pair with similar audio quality, ill be ordering but for now i cant. Also cant ignore the widespread quality control across users with those delicate planar drivers

oh my God, I cannot believe this this headset is the best headset for FPS gaming I had every headset I had Astros 50. Logitech light speed these are made for PlayStation five I really enjoyed this purchase. I can hear enemy footsteps miles away and stories are very good and Chris I’ve been through 20 headsets sometimes when I’m playing they think I’m cheating

Great sound quality and very comfortable. The only downside is the mic isn't outstanding, which at this price, it should be.

What can be said? TLDR this headset is hands-down amazing. Let me break it down for you, if you're interested.
I have tried a ton of headsets. Arctis pro wireless, Nova pro wireless, Sony H9, Sony Pulse 3d, Astro A50 (not the X) etc etc. There is something amazing about these Planar magnetic drivers. They sound incredible, compared to the rest. (Nova being closest in sound quality imho). But I use the headset for PS5, and no other headset works as well as the Sony H9 for the PS5 that supports full features etc. The H9 is really hard to beat, so that'll be the benchmark I'll compare against.
First off, let me say the positionality I get from the Sony H9 headset in FPS games is amazingly well done on the PS5. The 3d sound is awesome, and it beats the Maxwell in this category hands down. The flip-to-mute mic and full feature set to work with PS5 makes it an easy choice. But the Maxwell has much better build quality. It's a solid headset that weighs about twice as much. The H9 is more comfortable, with better positionality, but lacks EQ functions & the sound is warmer with less fidelity in the high frequency range. The maxwell performs EVERYWHERE, including sub BASS which comes out clear with amazing mid-range. The earpads and clamping force take a week or two to get comfortable.
The H9 battery lasts about 20 hours. The maxwell lasts 80 REAL WORLD HOURS. I can't believe the battery life. It will last most people a month or more. Simply incredible battery life, and I'll take the trade from it's extra weight. The weight doesn't make it uncomfortable, though. Just don't try doing activities while wearing.
The mic has AI noise cancelling, which works great. Nice when you're munching chips with friends in the party. There is no noise cancelling from the environment, though. So the Sony H9 wins in that department, but the mic will pickup everything & it will annoy your party mates.
So let's talk about the bad for a moment. The weight and overall comfort are not among the best I've used, though not bad by any stretch. The Mic has a sidetone function which has some feedback that you can't get rid of unless you set it under 20% (which you can do on the app on the fly!) The boom mic can be disconnected, which allows the internal mic to be used instead. Quality is only slightly worse, but you lose the AI noise cancellation feature. The headband isn't infinitely adjustable like some other headsets, but is more of a "set it and forget it" solution. I like it, but some may not. Lastly, though there is multi-device connectivity, it isn't simultaneous. The Sony H9 can be connected to the PS5 and your phone, which makes watching youtube shorts between games a breeze. The Maxwell can only receive audio from one device at a time.
Lastly, the dongle gives you great range and connects to the PS5 through the USB-C port. If you happen to buy the Xbox version, you'll need to use the USB-A conversion cable for some reason, or it won't work with PS5. The chat/game mixer doesn't work on PS5. However, you can quickly adjust chat/game mix as well as volume if you have a DualSense Edge controller by holding the little function button down and using the D-Pad. If you have an EDGE controller, it makes the decision to buy this headset even easier. The EQ options in the phone app are great, and give this thing a ton of flexibility.
It's the best sounding headset I've ever used. I'm keeping this one, and I highly recommend it. It's better than the Nova Pro, better than the A50, and better than the H9, even if it lacks the features of the H9 like noise cancellation & chat/game mixer on the headset. But hey, at least the mute button on the controller will work ;)

I bought these for gaming but have only used them for music so far. The build quality is supreme and comfortable. If you are a bass enjoyer like me then these headphones will take some getting used to. You can definitely hear the bass and it is nice and clean, but you can’t really feel it if that is what you are into. However I began to appreciate a clean crisp bass over thumping headphones. Both bass styles are good but with the mids and trebles sounding so good with this headphone, the bass performs just fine. You can hear everything with these headphones and i felt more immersed into the music. Just waiting for the PS5 pro to put these to the gaming test, which I expect tbe Maxwell’s will knock out of the park.

Incredible headphones. I tested the Pulse Elites before these and they both sound pretty much the same. I'm no audiophile, but compared to the Pulse 3D, you can really tell the difference. Aside from the sound, the comfort and quality of the headphones are top notch. They are heavy though. I tried them for a day when I had a flight and every couple of hours, I'd have to take them off. At home, however, I can sit with them for longer with no issues. Overall, well worth price. Especially since I can switch between my ps5 and other devices.

Incredible gaming headphones. These are the ones to get if you're looking for that rich deep bass or if you're looking to replace your surround sound theater system. They're that good. Other headphones felt like you were hearing gaming headphones. This feels like you're hearing a surround sound home theater system. I haven't tried the mic yet but from video reviews I hear its just fine. They're a tad on the pricey side but if you're looking for that speaker replacement and total sound immersion for your games and movies or even music on your PC or laptop these are it. Highly recommend!

The headset was without a doubt a great sounding headset, however there are several things I want to point out. Pros: Audiophile sound, comfortable, bluetooth, good battery, and good mic. Cons: this one for me was the reason I decided to go elsewhere, the mic monitoring has an awful amount of feed back, even if you turn it down very low. I Have the astro a50x and even though that headset also has feedback, it is far less. Also the software is mediocre. sometimes disconnects, so i think that Audeze needs to go the mixamp route, those little usb sticks dont cut it for pro wireless headsets. If none of the cons bother you than this might be your headset, however I believe the headset should cost $200 at most, the price point is hefty for what it doesnt offer. 4/5 good but not great.

This headset is THE best headset for audiophiles, game enthusiasts, and everyone in between! The audio is simply top notch from Audeze. The 90mm Planar Magnetic Drivers really excel in this headset. Comfortable headstrap and earpad combo!

Sound quality is second to none among wireless headsets. The headband is SO uncomfortable no matter what setting it's on. I've bought and tried two aftermarket headbands and one set of ear cups and none of them fixed the pain on top of my head from wearing these. Also there is static when you use sidetone, no matter what. I don't care because I don't use it, but pretty sad for a $300 headset.

Honestly the sound quality is amazing like I didn’t understand what people meant by “wow best sounding headset” but I do understand now. Listening to music on these is like a totally new experience. But, I bought these for competitive play and I just couldn’t hear footsteps and pinpoint where people are no matter what I can guesstimate but that’s as good as it gets.

I’m a front of house engineer and I work in the studio occasionally so audio is very important to me. I’ve never owned a headset that was mentioned for gaming but is also the best at anything you do with it. There sound is unmatched and detail that this headset produces I’ve never heard before from anything els.

I've never been much of a headphone user but due to wanting to give Cyberpunk a try with the Immerse Gaming pack, I gave these a try. I usually prefer to run my full Klipsch speakers so that the sub can thump...I find myself using these more and more. Gaming is absolutely a treat on these!

These are not gaming headphones. Sure, they can be OK for single player or role playing games but if at any point you want to PVP, good luck with these. Even if you tune them to the V pattern that most of us are used to you will have a very hard time pinpointing direction. Now, for music, these are phenominal. They shouldn't be advertised as a gaming headset though.
