Great sound quality. Cables are too long and I had to order shorter cables. Other that that, it is a pretty good headphone.

Very good headphones good sound quality especially with custom earpads

Honestly Ive watch tons of reviews on both the M40x and the M50x and I had to go to Sam Ash to listen to them both. I ended up getting the M40x's and Im so glad I did. They sound incredible using them with my phone, my computer and my mixer. Everything is balanced and crystal clear. Its like one of those things where I want to listen to all the music I love because it sounds so much better through these headphones. I have a pair of Beats Studio3 which I will give credit to because they sound really good, BUT they are tuned for high bass response and so its artificial. Even if most people don't know the difference I do because I mix, record and master a lot and I know the way the songs are supposed to sound and that's not a bad thing. Its just a pure musical sound and makes you appreciate music much more once you know your tool for listening is allowing you to hear the content the way it was mastered in the studio. Get a pair and don't compare them to anything else you've ever listened to and try to understand their true purpose. I believe you will appreciate them, and love them... Cheers!

I purchased these after doing a lot of research online. Even at full MSRP (you can find them lower on occassion) they're fantastic headphones. Unlike the reviewer that couldn't hear any bass I find the bass to be perfectly balanced and certainly present. Some songs I would say the bass is still a little too prominent, but that is only playing through my iPhone so it may be the way the sounds is mixed by iOS. I've worn them for hours at a time with no discomfort. They seal out sound quite a bit and they're closed back so there isn't much sound leakage for the people around you. I would recommend these to any of my friends and family without hesitation.

I own a pair of these. They are tremendous headphones. They are designed for mixing music so they have a well balanced sound across the frequency range to them. I actually enjoy listening to balanced music opposed to by overly hyped.
