Nice upgrade from the default AT-VM95E/H

I have the Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB-BK turntable and it came with the Audio Technica AT-VM95E/H cartridge. I bought the table in the fall of 2021, and that needle lasted until last month (March 2024) when it just bent to far, that it started making squelching noises. I feared it scratched my new Miles Davis and BROCKHAMPTON LPs. So, I at first bought the Audio Technica AT-VM95SH (no headshell), but while that is a more expensive stlyus, it's lifespan was far shorter than the Audio Technica AT-VM95ML/H. Also, I was a bit squeemish about installing the stylus into the original headshell. So I exchanged it for the Audio Technica AT-VM95ML/H with the headshell installed. So far, I have had no issues, and it was aligned perfectly. The sound is great and I do not yet regret the purchase.

This replaced a dj stylus I used for almost ten years. Since I don’t dj anymore I wanted a new needle for listening to records. This cartridge/stylus combo is brilliant. The sound is warm and crisp. The ability to change out the needles makes this a no-brainer. At first I had a few skips but after adjusting the alignment now it sets right in the groove and plays wonderfully. I highly recommend this product or any of the combos in this line - they are all great.

Immediate sound improvement. Upgraded from an AT95E. Mounted on a AudioTechnica head shell made this an easy upgrade. Excellent tracking and big sound improvement. I would recommend.

Ordered this headshell/cartridge kit to upgrade from the Audio-Technica AT-VM95E/H (Green) that came standard with the AT-LP120-USB. While this is only a basic 2 steps up from the E the sound and fidelity are quite a bit improved. The only issue is the stylus in the headshell was not correct for my turntable, when I put the Stevenson Protractor on the plinth I had to move stylus outward to get the proper overhang and angle. AT claims that the stylus headshell comes preset from them, but this isn't right considering the different overhangs for their various turntables not to mention other makes of turntables and whether they have a straight or s-shaped tone arm. For those of you who don't understand what I just described I recommend going on YouTube, there are some great videos on how to setup your turntable.

I bought this for my dad to fix his record player not knowing if this was the only issue with his setup. Turns out this was the last perfect solution and he is continuously raving about it! He is always playing it now and talks about the smoothness of its playback. I am happy that we were able to find it in store instead of searching for some random site to purchase it from.

This is a great sounding cartridge and stylus. It's crystal clear, I have had it for about 11 months so I'm trying to decide on replacing the stylus before it gets too worn or upgrading to the VM540ML. The MicroLine stylus is very detailed, but not as "bright" as some people have stated, its just most people have never heard music that detailed..if it sounds too bright, try adjusting eq.

I was very pleased with this cartridge kit. It was easy to install. The sound is by far superior to my older AT 77 cartridge. I would definitely recommend this product for a TT upgrade.

Produces a nice full sound from my vintage Sanyo TP 1020 turntable. Very nice complete head shell and cartridge combo. Cartridge comes pre mounted to the head shell which made it easy to install. Overall I’m happy with the improved sound and look this has added to my system.

I put this on my Fisher MT-6224 turntable using a Fisher RS-2002a receiver to Jamo Magic 6 bookshelf speakers. This kit sounds so good. It sounded great out of the box and putting some hours on it just makes it sound better. There seems to be less to no pops and clicks during playback using this stylus on records that I couldn't get rid of before. (Compared to the original stylus, clone of original, and Ortofon OM 10.) I think I might get one of these for my Fluance RT82 because is sounds that good. I am just blown away by the difference and how good it sounds.

My turntable started to send noise out on one channel, so I assumed it was a problem with the cartridge. I was contemplating getting just the cartridge, but decided to get the headshell along with it. So glad I did - it was trivial to install. The main thing is that I didn't have to worry about damaging the cartridge in my attempts to attach it to my existing headshell. Turntable works great now!

Best sounding needle for the VM95

The VM95ML is the best stylus you can get for the VM95 cartridge, but is it enough better than the orange VM95en, marginally, and I can only tell with an A/B test. Although since it's suppose to last longer it maybe worth the extra cost. It is better sounding then the VM95sh with costs more and that is noticeable.
