I had recently purchased a 4K TV from Best Buy and the next common sense thing to do from my perspective was to enable the cable box to provide a high quality signal to the TV. After speaking with the staff, they provided the options and advice which allowed me to choose the AudioQuest Chocolate 4K Ultra HD HDMI cable. The picture quality is incredible with the new TV and the choice of adding a high quality HDMI cable couldn’t help but ensure the awesome TV experience I’m enjoying now. this cable was an upgrade compared to the standard cable that came with my ps4 pro. I noticed an improvement in picture quality and audio I would recommend anyone looking to improve they're home theater they should get an audio Quest upgrade.

If you have purchased a 4K HDR TV and it has a 120 hz refresh rate this cable or higher is a must.

After replacing my receiver and BluRay player with high-end units, I was convinced by the sales associate that this HDMI connection was essential for the sound and video I was after. The cable is a solid, quality build. Without continually switching this cable with my old one, I'll never know if there is truly a better picture and sound with this. But after spending so much money on upgrades, I wanted to ensure I wasn't short changing myself with a subpar connection. Overall I'm very happy with the end result and therefore chose to keep this cable. The pricing of these things is near criminal though, and the AV cable manufactures know it.

I'm no expert in HDMI cables. For the amount of money spent on this particular HDMI cables, I really was looking for a bigger wow factor plugging in the HDMI cable. I tried using the HDMI cable for Gaming, Hooking it up to my Cable Box, I also used it for my Blueray player, which is actually the same as my Video Game Device. I have other regular HDMI cables. I have one that came with my gaming system, I have one that I go at Goodwill that was actually worth a lot of money, it's a Sony, but it was worth a lot of money because it was when HDMI cables just came out, and when I bought it, it was still in the regular packaging. I tried comparing all 4 HDMI cables that I have, I also looked at all 3 cables, and they all look different by slight variations. Some are Silver coated, Some are Gold Coated, and I'm sure the ones that are gold plated that they are slightly different Karats of gold in the HDMI gold plated HDMI Cables. So I ranked this as an average HDMI cable only because I'm not sure what to really look for. My gaming ran smoothly, but it also ran smoothly with all my other HDMI cables. For some reason I like to use this particular HDMI cable for gaming because it's the most expensive, and I don't want to be missing out on anything, even if I'm missing it. So for you who understand the difference between one HDMI Cable from another, then I'm sure this review won't help you, But for you who can't really tell the difference, I would buy a gold plated HDMI cable, which is the more expensive one but there are ones that are cheaper than others, but than again I might be wrong, like I said the silver ones do work just as well. I think its all about how long one lasts depending on how much you play or watch tv. It might be all about the amount of time one watches or plays with their television and uses their HDMI Cable Cord. The only reason I recommend the gold hdmi cables is because the silver ones for some reason don't seem to last as long and out of all the HDMI cables that I have had, the only ones that have broke, were the Silver Plated ones, but they did work great while I played or watched TV. All HDMI cables are not created equal. If using a 3D UHD TV setup, you'll want to spend the extra money for such a high quality 3D rated HDMI cable. Yes, you can find a less expensive HDMI cable at Best Buy online or in-store but these rated cables have never given me a single problem. And unlike other cables they don't seem to stop working all of a sudden.

Honestly I believed all hdmi are the same and there is no reason to buy expensive cable. I was wrong and I’ll tell you why this audioquest hdmi cables are the best. I was having audio and picture sync issues with my apple 4k tv and Panasonic UB820 4k player connected to Harmon Kardon Samsung HWN850 Soundbar. I was using a monster 18gbps cable and certified 18gbps cable that advised 4k hdr. The picture would drop out with Apple TV and sound when streaming 4k content. The uhd player pushing uncompressed info at chroma 444 picture and sound drop out and it was choppy. I thought it was 2015 Samsung SHUD tv that was using arc and I got a new LG C8 and had issue. I purchased certified 18gbs rocket fish cable same issue. I was getting ready to take back Soundbar but found out quality of cable hdmi makes difference. I purchased 3 chocolate hdmi cables one tv to Soundbar, uhd player to Soundbar, Apple TV to Soundbar. Guess what no more issues. No more timing errors with pic and sound. No more switching different inputs and arc goes out and I have to unplug. All hdmi cables are not built with quality materials. I am now a believer in these cables. I still think they are too pricey, but I cannot fault their quality and working as advertised. Save yourself time and go with these. I wouldn’t recommend going pass chocolate unless you have some real expensive audio equipment then yes because it has more silver in it.

The chocolate cable has no issues transferring 4k signal and really feels high quality when holding. No freezing or skipping or distortion with this HDMI cable. I can't say that I have tried a different cable that doesnt work, but I've had no reason to believe this isnt a great cable. Don't get me wrong, for $100/meter it better work flawlessly.

My Magnolia Rep encouraged me to try these HDMI cables with a new LG OLED 65EF9500. Having received the new TV and installed with my existing HDMI high speed cables, I wasn't satisfied at all with the picture quality of the new OLED and started to doubt the quality of the set. Then, when a little bit of prodding from the Magnolia Rep (he told me that he's told his clients to buy these expensive cables and never had one returned!), a purchased this cable. Once installed the quality of the picture improved substantially. The LG OLED is running through my new Yamaha RX-A2050 receiver and the picture is amazing. I have since purchased ALL new Audioquest cables for my home theatre and really do believe now that it DOES make a difference! After spending a small fortune on your home theatre, don't neglect these high quality cables to obtain the absolute best picture and sound quality that you can.

Bought the Audioquest Chocolate HDMI cable at the advice of the Best Buy salesman to use with my new 4K TV. The picture quality is superb and worth every cent. If you are investing in a 4K TV, you don't want a wire that will lessen the quality of your picture.

Very well built and durable they were a definite upgrade from the cables I was using. I was a little disappointed with the length for the price point. However with cables you pay for what you get. Very high quality.

If you have a 4K UHD TV, you'll definitely need one of this HDMI CABLE.... I compared this cable with a cheaper one and definitely the quality of the images is better with this cable.

Okay, lets face it its hard to spend this kind of money on an HDMI cable, for the video its a waste, but for audio it makes a huge differance in quality, I am hearing sounds I never knew was there, plus your reciever will not require having the volume up as loud to hear eveything. There is a differance and the money is worth it and i am not a person with extra money to blow. But i will always buy these for my home theater. If your not going for a full 5.1 or 7.1 or Atmos don’t bother with the extra money.

I owned an AudioQuest sky cable and I could say it's a good cable. But to compare chocolate to sky, there is a big difference! The picture quality is much sharper and colors are of great quality and the quality of sound is spot on. It is a little expensive though but you get what you pay for. I remember returning the 1 meter cable because it doesn't reach my bluray player. I went to the store and got a 2 meter cable. The box that I got looks old and crumpled as if it's not brand new. When I checked out, the bestbuy rep said it's new and doesnt want me to get a newer looking box. That's the only gripe that I had when I bought this cable. The mere fact that you paid for a new item and you'll get a used one sucks!!!! Well, here's hoping that it's not used and defective because it is an expensive cable.

Its a great product but its over priced i wish it was priced lowered so everyone can experience the great picture quality.

I use my cable with my new 4K tv and the picture is sharp and the sound is awesome.. The best hdmi cable I ever bought..

Although this cable is expensive it's well worth the money. Don't take short cuts on the cables. This one is very good.

When I purchased a Sony 4K tv I decided to upgrade the hdmi cables. These work great and the sound is good but the price is higher and I'm not sure that a lower priced hdmi cable that was still higher end wouldn't sound just as good. I don't regret the purchase though as I've had other low end cables that definitely didn't work well or last long and these have worked good for 2 years and counting.

First thing people say that annoys me is I don't see a difference in video quality. Well, your not going to if you have a decent HDMI previously. This cord is meant for audio quality. Not worth getting if you have a sound bar, but totally worth getting if you have an HDMI receiver and especially a new one. If you you have decent speakers or top notch speakers you will hear a big difference in dynamic quality and range while watching movies and even listening to songs. Hope this helps!
