I don't understand all of the negative comments about these cables. These cables are expensive, but they are also good cables. When I had my standard DVD player, I had a regular HDMI cable going to my receiver. The cables that came with the player worked fine. However, when I replaced that player with a new Sony 4K UHD player, those cables could not handle it. I replaced the standard HDMI cable with the AQ Cinnamon HDMI cable and noticed a huge difference. First, the colors were brighter, and the picture more clear. But the biggest change was the lack of digital noise and digital artifacts during high-color, fast moving video. I did a before and after with the new Wonder Woman, John Wick, and John Wick 2, and the picture seemed more detailed. I also did a test with Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, both Blu Ray, and they looked better during some parts with these cables, especially the bright, high-color scenes. I believe in these cables. I do not think they are for everybody, nor do I believe that everyone will see a major difference. If you are already using good cables, maybe these aren't for you. Also, not everyone want's the absolute best experience, and I understand that. But to give them a bad rating because you believe you paid too much or you think it is too expensive for them is not a quality review and does a disservice to others who are looking to improve their video. I have been an AudioQuest user for many years. I started using AQ cables as an audiophile back in the late 1980's. My system was a McIntosh MX110 preamp, a McIntosh MC2505 amp, a modified original AR turntable, a Nakamichi RX202 cassette deck, and Mirage speakers. I changed my Monster Cable speaker cables with the AudioQuest Midnight cables. The AQ Midnight cables completely opened up the bottom end and brightened the music. The difference was almost overwhelming. As long as AQ continues to make quality cables, I will use them when I need them.

How Much Is Peace of Mind Worth?

HDMI cables are not all the same and I'm not just speaking in terms of their version 1.0, 1.1, 1.2...2.0. 2.1 - up to and including this AudioQuest Cinnamon's version: HDCP 2.2. If I focus just on 4K UHD content, I want peace of mind in my HDMI interconnects. I paid up for a decent TV/Monitor, AVR, UHD Blu-ray Player, etc. and don't want any extra variables or unreliability in the audio/video chain [the sole purpose of this particular cable]. Folks having issues with synchronization (dialogue so far off it sounds like a 70's Kung Fu movie), imaging (spouse asking "so why did we go 4K...I can't see any difference")...is all bad news. Not always attributed to lesser expensive HDMI cables but my opinion is that I'll do everything I can to avoid these pitfalls and this brand and cable level are very dependable. I've had no issues and even upgraded from their Forest line when I moved to 4K to ensure that reliability. Those Forest HDMI cables are now used in another theater application and have replaced lesser quality cables (kind of an across the house upgrade since these operate today like they were new). I haven't A/B tested the Cinnamon line and don't need to- they sound wonderful to my ears and delight the eyes. Very well constructed with great shielding and they look cool too (like admiring the wiring in a muscle car's engine kind of way). I own two currently in 1m and 2m lengths and am a big admirer of AudioQuest.

check out the AudioQuest website to see how great they are and what they offer. this is not the rolls royce top of the line but it might as well be. AudioQuest Cinnamon AudioQuest Cinnamon HDMI is absolutely one of the very best HDMI cables in its class. It produces an much sharper, more accurate picture from all video sources, and also sounds much better than any competing HDMI cables. AudioQuest packed Cinnamon HDMI with all the newest HDMI features with the best pure, solid-core wire , incredibly well-machined HDMI ends (with a proprietary termination process for much better signal transfer), and extremely effective shielding technology. All of this combines to produce one of the best HDMI cables at its price. The video technology will make your eyes pop out of your head, but it’s the sound of Cinnamon that will perk up your ears. Cinnamon has a big, bold sound, rich and lively with excellent transient performance and a neutral tonal balance which is guaranteed to complement any audio/video system.

How to review a product like this? Well, here's my effort, anyway.....I bought this HDMI cable to use on my new 50-inch Panasonic Plasma TV. About 9-months or so ago we bought a 60-inch Panasonic Plasma TV that was a "higher-line" model that we use with a home-theater sound system and we bought an even more expansive HDMI-cable for that because of the higher level of TV and its 3D capacity along with the sound system it would be connected with. This time around, the TV and the sound system it's attached to is less sophisticated and, I suppose, demanding television so we decided on the Cinnamon-level. Using it, the picture and sound on the 50-inch TV is fine, even if it isn't as fantastic as the 60-inch I mentioned. I guess the Cinnamon-level is all I needed because all's well on the TV it's connected to. I think the hard part of reviewing this item is that there's room to wonder if a basic HDMI cable, which would have cost less than half the price of the Cinnamon would have been enough for this TV to give the same results. The cable company said it would. But, I wanted to be certain that we'd get as much enjoyment from this new TV as possible and we didn't want to be bothered with testing one against another so we decided not to take a chance and bought the Cinnamon.

A lot of people say that all HDMI cables are all the same and they are all wrong. I have always bought Rocketfish HDMI cables due to its quality and price than I found out about AudioQuest from Best Buys Magnolia products so I did some research. Price wise they are around the same but the quality you get is so visible. Dont get advice from the Best Buy delivery guy because he probably doesn't make much to get a 120 Hz 55 inch LED TV. I have owned many HDTVs and if you have a 32 inch flat screen you will probably not see the difference with this wire. So I compared the Rocketfish with AudioQuest and there was a big difference. Rocketfish will get the job done but if you seek quality this wire is for you. Plugging the AudioQuest to my PS3 just blew my mind away. The picture was a lot sharper, smoother, and clearer. When it came to fast moving objects there was a lot less blur. Also when I had my Rocketfish cable my TV would go blank for a second sometime while playing Black Ops on my PS3. Now with AudioQuest that never happens. Yah its a bit short for what you pay for but if you can afford a huge flat screen thats over 120Hz or 3D you can pay a bit extra to get the most out of your HDTV.

All HDMI cables are NOT created equal! With the audio quests one way signal design. Solid core wiring, pure silver conductors and braided construction absolutely make a difference, silver is the best conductor so this brings cleaner and smoother video/Audio signal with very low distortion. The better the audio quest cable the higher the silver content, there is a noticeable visual a audio boost to you content when using this cable, the one way signal design also cuts down the distortion by having signals only traveling one way instead of multiple signals traveling multiple directions causing more distortion, and plus you get a lifetime warranty with AudioQuest. If it ever goes bad they will replace it, all you need to do is send the old cable back.

I have long believed that all HDMI cables were the same until I finally bought this AudioQuest cable. I recently purchased the Sony HX850 and the picture when watching 1080p sources was excellent with cheap HDMI cables, however my Directv connection had issues. In several shows I was having issues with noise and pixelation. I took this to be a problem with my receiver and considered returning the TV since it didn't handle the source very well. So I made one last attempt to fix the issue by purchasing a Monster HDMI cable, no difference...so i returned. Then finally I listed to the BB clerk who assured me that this would help clean up some of the problems i was having with the noise from Directv. I really didn't think it was going to make a difference but I was wrong. The picture is much better now. I had shows on the DVR that i watched with old and new cables and the new cable makes a significant difference. I was shocked and now i'm a believer. It may not matter so much on perfect 1080p sources, but it fixed my issue and now I'm keeping my TV....awesome!

The AudioQuest Cinnamon HDMI & RJE (Ethernet) cables were purchased to be used with a new Sony XBR-65X930D television and Sony HT-ST9 sound bar. After reading many reviews of televisions, sound bars and cables, it became apparent that a lot of the problems people were having stemmed from two things; inadequate cables and improper set up. Having Comcast / Xfinity X1 cable box & gateway (router) with "Blast" level of service it is possible to achieve very fast downloads and excellent picture quality. Entirely hard wired ( no WiFi connections used), this configuration requires 4 AudioQuest Cinnamon cables; 2 HDMI cables, TV to cable box, sound bar to TV and 2 RJE Ethernet cables, gateway to TV, gateway to sound bar. These cables have proven themselves to be flawless in every way, and this set up has worked perfectly. Premium quality TV's & sound bars are only as good as their connections, buy the best cables you can, buy AudioQuest Cinnamon cables!

When I bought my 4K TV, I was told by the salesman that in order to get 4K video, I would need a fancy, 4K compatible HDMI cord. He showed me three options to choose from, each with fancy silver lining. He recommended that I choose between the two higher priced models and I picked the one that I'm reviewing. Due to the fact that I was moving, I didn't get a chance to actually set up my TV until about a week later. After setting it up, the quality and sound was pretty good. However, after reading some reviews online I had realized that I wasted $70 in buying this cable because all you need is a generic HDMI 2.0 cable that you can buy for $12. I didn't believe it until I bought a generic 2.0 cable and saw that the picture quality was the same and maybe even a little better. Complete waste.

So I did a lot of research on this cable after I bought it before I opened it up because $80 for a 3 foot cable is not something I normally spend money on. I am an engineering major so I dug deep into the physics of how the cable works and the materials used to manufacture them. I figured the science was good to know but did not believe that it would make a difference. Low and behold I decided to try it out and see for myself! I immediately notices my video games had a clearer image on the screen.I did a compare to some netflix shows based off my old rockfish 19.99 cable and this cable and you could visibly see a difference as well. If you have the extra money to shell out and want a great quality picture, purchase this cable. Also just test it out before your return period lapses and try out how well you can see the difference. Trust me it was a fantastic buy. (and I'm normally a cheap person lol)

Honestly, this whole Performance HDMI cable thing is not all that its cracked up to. All you are paying for is silver core and some extra shielding, may help mostly with audio at most. Some high end cables will allow for ethernet thru the wire. But the overall picture quality is NOT worth the extra money, and Im picky when it comes to my pictures. I tested these HDMI cables with the free ones I received from my cable tv provider and saw practically no difference what so ever. I tested both cables thru my Blu Ray Player as well as my HD Cable box and the difference was next to 0. I was using a Samsung Plasma 47". This whole 120hz, 240hz and 600hz specialized cabling is a bunch of you know what also. Dont get me wrong, the build quality of this cable is exceptional , good connectors, nice appearance and durable looking...so there is where these cables shine. Other then that, the $30 HDMI cable should be sufficient for most people.

I believe I was suckered into buying this expensive cable when purchasing a 4k TV. When I asked if my new Samsung 4K tv came with an HDMI, he said yes, but I would need a special HDMI in order to get the full potential. By this point, I was already a few thousand dollars into my purchase, therefore I wasn't going to turn back so I added these expensive wires. When I got home I did my research and found out that basically any HDMI cable that says High Speed HDMI, will support 4k. Also, that the more expensive variety are only really necessary when your TV is a far distance from the equipment. I feel that I was suckered into an extra $100 worth of cords.

I was once under the impression that one HDMI cable was just as good as any other, and that the price was driven more by name brand than anything else. That is definitely not the case, as I have come to realize. I recently purchased a Samsung UN65KS8000 and I had it connected to a Roma Premier Plus using a Monster brand cable, a Direct TV receiver and an Xbox360 using Insignia brand cables. The Monster cable couldn't carry the UHD signal on the Roku, which I found out by going into the settings and seeing UHD grayed out. Once I swapped the Monster cable for the Cinnamon cable, UHD became available. I am in the process of upgrading all of the HDMI cables, which are connected to this set with the Cinnamon brand.

The salesman convinced me I needed this for my soundbar and my soundbar wouldn't come with an HDMI cable. Turns out that there was a cable included with my soundbar and it is of current standards so can handle the bandwidth requirements. I thought about holding on to the cinnamon cable for other things, but after reading many articles about HDMI cables, there is no need to spend 50 bucks on an HDMI cable. For today's usage, just make sure you have a cable rated 1.3b or later and you should be fine. Don't spend more then ten bucks on HDMI.

The salesman sold me on this product. Even asking key questions on picture quality he assured me that I will not be disappointed. I got home excited to try it and I was disappointed because I noticed no difference. I hooked up my monster Cable back and took this hdmi cable back the next day. I read a lot about hdmi cables and what I learned was the biggest difference are standard or high-speed, lengths, and quality so don't fall for all the hype on the package because it is a marketing scheme. So my reason for rating this cable 2 is because I did not notice any difference and this cable was 3 times the price I paid for my other cable. The audioquest cable did provide image and the quality did appear to be good.

After buying a QLED TV and a 4k player, I hooked everything up with an existing HDMI cable and I was not very impressed with the picture quality. After going to the store, they informed me to try one of the high end HDMI cables to see if that will improve the picture. I usually don't buy them, but I figured give it a shot. OMG the picture quality was so much better after purchasing this cable. I always thought these expensive cables were a scam, but I was entirely wrong. Well worth the investment if you already have a high end TV/4k player.

great quality HDMI, this length is perfect for stacked or side-by-side components, but would be too short if placement of connecting components were farther apart. Prior review indicates that I believe this cable to provide better sound than cheaper HDMI. Also, not noted on previous review, I have a swivel mount tv stand and I find that the AudioQuest has a firm connection... I have had HDMI cables work themselves loose in the past, especially the ones that bend at the connection point. And, a last note, These cables have arrows that direct the correct end to the appropriaate connection. Be careful to note that and don't use them upside down.

this cable did everything the best buy employee said it would. better picture and sound. i must add thought that i am very picky. i can spot the littlest detail. to me there was a big difference between the hdmi cable with 60hz rate capability to the cinnamon with 600hz capability. i have a plasma tv. so why have a cable with only 60hz capability when my tv can do 600hz? This is what is transferring the data between the blu ray player to the receiver and tv. if detail is important then buy it. if you can't tell the difference between blu ray and regular dvd (like my parents) the go with the cheaper cable.

I brought a pair of these cables to go with my new Samsung 4k smart tv at the recommendation of the sales associate. I previously was using 2 older cables with my old HD tv. I would definitely recommend these cables. Now with that said, I don't have another cable to compare to but these cables provide amazing picture quality for the tv. My PS4 looks amazing now. The graphics look just like they do on commercials when they are very detailed and crystal clear. They are expensive cables but I feel they are worth the money. A must have.

Nobody wants to spend all this money on 4K and have the fear of getting less than exceptional playback, and that's why I bought this. I don't 100% trust the benefits of the silver in HDMI, but there's gotta be some kind of truth behind it, right? My advice, think about the amount of money you're putting into the rest of your entertainment and that will probably help guide you to how much you want to spend on an HDMI cable. Depending on lengths, the shorter the cheaper so consider than when and where you hook your stuff up. This was my max-out point for an HDMI cable. Hope this helps!
