It did not work for me. I was told by the sales person to plug it into the optical cable then plug into the headphone jack on the tv, for my sound bar to work. Well it did not work.

Didn't work for what I needed it to work for. The 3.5mm is super slim and doesn't actually fit in a 3.5mm jack. It feels really cheap also.
