Size is good, significantly smaller then previous generations, I didn’t like that you must purchase separate keypad to get more out of the lock. I returned it and opted for a Yale lock instead,

Love it, in a townhouse and can’t change the key and this only replaces the inside thumb latch. Works awesome.

It seems to be working to my liking. The smart lock my keep me safe. It appears to be a strong dead bolt.

Has a lot of nice features and I like the idea that you don’t have to change your current key you have. It also does to make it appear you have a smart lock hooked up. Lots of nice features that you can utilize to make life easier.

This lock was very easy to install and allows us to not worry about having our key.

I loved my previous gen August lock, but this newest version takes odd batteries that die way too fast, and it needs recalibrated once a week.

Great Smart Lock, replaced a August Gen 2 with it and its a nice upgrade. Works with Homekit and allows you to use the stock bolt and key which can be important if you are renting. Seems to have a lot more torque then the Gen 2.

I haven’t had this device installed for more than four months and I’ve already been told by the app to replace batteries TWICE. There’s nothing wrong with the installation or the Wi-Fi, or the batteries, i’ve even limited remote locking to save battery after first replacement, and they still last only about a month and a half. Don’t waste your money on this worthless trinket. Avoid the sales hype and do your research first. Consider locks with the steadier energy source.

Much smaller profile and no need for and external wifi module. Everything is built into the device.

Love this lock. I initially bought it because I thought that it sat OVER your existing deadbolt, but I was mistaken. The setup was still extremely easy and required almost no actual skill. Incorporates great with other august/yale products. A few issues with app functionality but the product itself is outstanding. I only wish it used a different type of battery.
