I replace the battery faster every two weeks I buy the battery rechargeable to replace he doesn’t work

I love this generation of lock. It was easy to set up and automatically switches between Bluetooth and Internet, no more need for a bridge to make it work. I had 1st generation and it quit working, I'm glad that it did so I could get the latest version. So much better!!!

I replaced the 1st Gen August Lock with the 4th Gen wifi smart lock and I couldn't be happier. I have the power to control the locking and unlocking mechanism with my iphone. This is the best smart lock on the planet.

Great smart lock. Significantly improved when compared to the second generation. I love the fact that the lock wont lock itself if the door is open. Overall would recommend it if you're interested in the smart lock or thinking of renting out your place for AirBnB

Works like crap! Never stays connected. Only works when in Bluetooth range. Worthless!

Fantastic option to keep your outside handle set. Very pleased with the install and setup. Reassuring to know we can rely on the front door being locked and this doesn't require Internet access.

I upgrade my older august lock with this one. I did it for 2 reasons. 1. It was smaller, 2. It allowed me to get rid of my wifi bridge. I should have never upgraded. This lock is the worst. I’m about to install my old august back. The upgrade is simple since I already had an august lock installed but after that it all went down hill. Found out from august support that remote unlock was not working on ios devices. This was my favorite feature. I still don’t think there is a fix as i keep checking for updates. The lock has a mind if its own. It will randomly lock after i unlocked the Lock with my app after i walk through the door. 70 percent of the time when i exit my door and try to perform a lock, it simple won’t connect. My wifi cab be seen down my street so it has nothing to do with wifi signal. Anyway, long story short. Do not buy this until the bugs are worked out. I do tech for a living so you can trust me on this.

Great lock but definitely has some issues. Seems to jam frequently and bought the wifi attachment for the house and that drops signal all the time. Works great when it actually works. App is super easy to use and set up. Really only got this ;lock because I could not have anything on the outside of my door so this was pretty much may only option.

Overall a good wireless deadbolt lock with wi-fi app access.

Great lock but a bit pricy The setup and instructions are easy to use and it works great. The only down side I will say is that these locks seem to eat up batteries like candy.

An improvement over the previous generation. Previously to access via wifi you needed an extra accessory that didn't work very well. Now it is integrated and flawless. They also include a sensor to determine if your door is open or closed.

Good luck but unusual shape made guests question how to unlock. Returned and purchased nest Yale lock.

This is not a good wifi lock. It constantly disconnects from wifi and then reconnects. When asking any of my smart devices: Apple Watch, HomePod or Amazon Alexa to lock or unlock the door, it works less than half the time. Even when I use the app on my phone or Apple Watch, the lock often does not lock or unlock.

Works most of the time with some caveats. They need to work on the Wi-Fi connectivity.

I had the 3rd generation lock, it messed up and got the 4th one when I went to replace it and none was in stock, they gave me this one and I'm loving it so far, it's faster, not so bulky, light weight, glad the warranty came thru for me

I love it especially the app when it works. But the auto unlock feature is utter trash. Super slow to respond

Works great but you will still need a Connect Hub to use certain features like door open notifications.

The August Smart Lock works exactly as described. Has been useful since we just moved into our new condo to let contractors in when we are not available

Every thing good it works ok something think I didn’t program it correctly other than that it works fine

Installs in minutes, reliable and seems to be great battery life so far. The setup app was helpful and easy to follow. The lock motor seems a bit flimsy but secures tightly .
