    Good luck but unusual shape made guests question how to unlock. Returned and purchased nest Yale lock.

    This is not a good wifi lock. It constantly disconnects from wifi and then reconnects. When asking any of my smart devices: Apple Watch, HomePod or Amazon Alexa to lock or unlock the door, it works less than half the time. Even when I use the app on my phone or Apple Watch, the lock often does not lock or unlock.

    I had the 3rd generation lock, it messed up and got the 4th one when I went to replace it and none was in stock, they gave me this one and I'm loving it so far, it's faster, not so bulky, light weight, glad the warranty came thru for me

    It disconnects way too often. They decided to use a weird A123 battery that is basically impossible to find re-chargable batteries for. I would highly suggest getting the older model that takes standard AA batteries. They should stick switch back to AA.

    Purchased this as an upgrade from my gen 2 August lock. This operates faster, smoother and is far less glitchy (so far no random low battery alerts) than the previous generation lock I owned.

    I’ve been looking for a WiFi lock that did not require a bridge and the August smart lock is perfect. Being able to control the lock via Bluetooth or WiFi is a great feature. This lock is amazing!

    Love this. Jams very occasionally and glitches out when we both try to unlock it at the same time but these aren't issues I expect are normal. Would highly recommend this lock

    Great locking system, but it becomes perfect with the smart Keypad, otherwise you will have a high risk of being locked out, since the system will lock your door as soon as you close it.

    Remotely lock or unlock the door, check door status, grant virtual guest keys, and see who is coming and going. Or use your favorite voice assistant to control your door.

    I brought this expense lock because I wanted a lock that would recognize me as I walked to the door. So I wouldn't have to fumble for keys. Now I fumble for a phone... This lock has wifi and Bluetooth and still doesn't recognize me. I'm very disappointed and feel cheated.

      Thank you for providing your feedback with the August Wi-Fi Smart Lock. What type of phone are you using? It sounds like you're referring to Auto-Unlock. Do you receive error messages when Auto-Unlock fails? Depending on your phone, there are certain phone settings that can be adjusted to improve the Auto-Unlock feature.     Please save yourself the hassle and headache and just Google "August 4th gen battery issue". The vast majority of people has their lock die on them within a month (some even sooner). There is a wifi bug in this model that continuously disconnects and then reconnects to your wifi. I called the company and they blamed my wifi router (Netgear ax4200, so... NO). And even if you recieve one of the few units that works flawlessly, you still have to swap batteries every 3 months. A set of lithium CR123 batteries and the company specifically states to avoid rechargables. I ended up going with a yale smart lock and couldn't be happier.
