The product is okay, but it eats up batteries quickly and the software upgrades from August have caused us to re-program.

Great lock and installation was very simple. Keypad works great for the kids without phones.

This is our second August lock and they are perfect. Replaces the turn lock on the inside, the rest remains the same. Great retrofit. The external keypad is a nice addition to allow one time access, or for those without the app. Must make sure your dead bolt moves smoothly when door is closed, if it sticks, this lock will not work correctly.

It is a decent smart lock. The august app is good enough and with the august app the repsone time is excellent. I was never able to get the door ajar feature working correctly. My main use for the lock was to have it added to my apple homekit and when it was working it was good! But unfortunately after a week or 2 weeks of using it with apple homekit it would partially disconnect itself and with the apple home app it would say that the lock is "not responding". I would then have to manually unpair it and restart the device and then go throught he set up process again just for it to disconnect itself from homekit another 2 weeks later. I have ended up returning it.

Quite pleased with this. Installation was easy to understand. Installed with no issues and paired with Apples HomeKit first try. I love the ability to remove lock and unlock. Adding it to my scenes allows me to turn everything off at night and lock the doors.

The only problem I have encounter is that the batteries have to be replaced way to soon.

So far it’s been great with a few pit falls. Installation was super easy except for the key pad. It froze half way through and I had to call August for the reset code. But once you get the reset code for the keypad you can re-pair it with your lock anytime you need to, just in case. My other issue is that it loses WiFi connection from time to time and one time it would reconnect automatically and I had to repair it with my WiFi. Other than those two issues it’s been amazing for my Airbnb. We haven’t use the Bluetooth proximity unlock feature yet b/c we don’t need it.

This has been one of my better purchases. I moved into an apartment that doesn't have electric locks from moving in. I hate messing with keys and fiddling with door locks to get into my apartment so this was a must have for me. Pros: - Extremely easy install - Fast operation - Unlock with phone or pinpad makes it easy - Gives guest access codes and Amazon can leave packages inside even - Tells you if your door is propped open or unlocked when not home - Keeps track of who unlocked your door with the app. - Keeps external lock the same so renters can still access the apartment - Super smooth operation of the lock Cons: - Binding the keypad and lock could have been easier - Eats batteries but they are cheap / false low battery readings - Some days the lock takes a second to respond to pinpad code - Locking / Unlocking is not very intuitive with the single button on the pinpad at first - confuses some guests.

Easy installation. Loved it. If you are moving to new plce and looking for a smart lock go for this product. 10/10

Perfect for use in Apartments where you cannot not change the physical lock (facility staff still needs to use their key) but you want a smart lock. I also have it hooked into my Apple Home kit system

works great, I love having the keypad for my mother-in-law and the ability to set a PIN for her .. she doesn't want to use the app ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My favorite aspect is that the August smart lock doesn’t alter the front lock because it functions with the existing key lock on the front door. The only downside is that i did need to replace the teo batteries after 45-60 days of operations.

We bought other Smart lock and returned, this one is best quality, and easy to use. We install this lock in 10 mins. Very easy to link to the Wi-Fi and password pad.

Really helpful to have with aging parent in-home. Highly recommend. Fairly easy installation. Customer service from August is terrible but hopefully you won't need them

It’s a good product. Just what I needed. Easy to install and not as bulky as o thought it would be.

Makes your home a smart home, i love having this installed on my front door, makes giving access to my children easy without giving out house keys

Best purchase for my Short-Term house. It was a little challenging getting the installation correctly but watched some additional YouTube videos and it worked. Its excellent

Very easy to install and use. Aside from the pad, no indication of having a smart lock installed, which makes me feel more secure someone wont try to hack.
