I bought these for my new apartment which wasn’t in the safest of neighborhoods but just with this little attachment alone makes you feel very safe and the ease of use once it’s calibrated is amazing also if you have an Apple Watch it’s just easy when you get home to just have the door unlocked for you and automatically lock at night I never have to worry about my safety because it automatically locks but it’s the best purchase I’ve made in the last six months

We wanted a smart lock to add to our smart home set up. We tried a couple but ended up liking this one the most. Works really well! Easy to set up. Quiet, fast, responsive. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best-looking smart deadbolts on the market, and easily one of the highest-quality ones available. Its built-in WiFi works well, and I have few regrets picking August over all the rest of the smart locks available on the market. Unfortunately, this newest generation doesn't fix most of the other long-standing issues with the Smart Lock Pro, or with the August app on Android, and it introduces some of its own issues. Altogether, they are: * The Android app doesn't properly implement Bluetooth LE, so its ability to detect when you're nearby and auto-unlock is overly reliant on GPS and being connected to your home WiFi. This means auto-unlock only works correctly if you have an iPhone. That's weaksauce from their product managers because Samsung and Google both have good Bluetooth LE capabilities--the app developers just need some story points to go and implement them. C'mon, August. * The DoorSense feature is a huge pain to make work, especially if you have any metal in your door frame. Surely this could be implemented a bit better? * This 4th gen version doesn't have Z-wave. ~(>_<。)＼ * The WiFi radio only supports 2.4 GHz.

We use our August wifi locks, now on two doors. It works well and is easy to set up and use. It does burn through the battery quickly but gives you notice of a weak battery. Both of ours are paired with the smart keypad. It is great for relatives, workmen, and for us, who don't carry keys.

My wife had arthritis in her hands and had difficulty turning the keys in the door lock. This product has made our life much easier.

Great lock, works well but battery life is terrible

Works great and was easy to install! Great alternative to ugly keypads on your door! We put it on our mailbox instead of on the door.

Lock was very easy to install as long as your door is not warped, etc. Nice that it can be installed using your current deadbolt. I also installed the number key pad and gave out codes to my loved ones so they do not need a key. Using the app on the phone allows me to lock, unlock, change codes, etc. at any given time. It also allows for geofencing and unlocks my door for me as I drive into the driveway. It also makes sure my door is locked after I am a set distance from the house. Sure makes life easier!

Setup was supposed to be easy However, if you did not connect to local network, the calibration won't work for you At this point, I've yet used the keypad and it seems redundant since we can set up multiple profiles

I love these so much I use them at all of my houses and properties. Easy to install and set up. Great for control freaks.

We love this it's so much better than using a key we get home and the door will automatically unlock

Didn't like this version of august just would not connect at all, giving 3 stars because I switch back to the old version and it works flawlessly. Everyone experience is different so I'll say try for your self.

Best part and value is to reuse your existing dead bolt. The key pad is nice feature for the young ones to use when they come home.

Real easy to install - had issues with lock calibration through app but a quick google search and it was resolved.

Works well when it works and I love the ability to have regular looking hardware on the outside of my door but unfortunately the battery life is miserable. Feels like I have to replace the batteries every 1-2mo even though we rarely use it and its 20 bucks a pop every time batteries get replaced!! Looking at other solutions at this point

This lock works great, and it can be a little finicky during the initial setup but works great once it’s up and running. It did not fit our original dead bolt because the locking mechanism was offset and not centered. Once we replaced our deadbolt with a regular one it worked perfect. It connects to wifi or Bluetooth. We use this on an Airbnb and it works great.
