Love this lock. Easy to use. Especially when it’s freezing outside. Can lock/unlock from my phone!

This lock has literally changed my life, I love this tío no end. I incorporated this lock and combo kit into my home and it has definitely changed my sense of security in my home, when home and away I feel this sense of security. If I forget to lock my door this will do it for me, and with the sensor to recognize that I’d it’s truly closed I know it is locked for sure. Get this you will not regret it one bit.

Doesn't work in cold temperatures - don't buy this! Short batter life. Is easier than others to share different codes/access.

This is my 2nd ine. The forst one works well and this was meant to be for a dufferent door, but it is havibg sone issues.

Piece of junk. Lasted about a year before the motor broke and left me locked out of the house. Spent a half hour on the phone with August support just for them to tell me it’s broken and no longer under warranty. So basically you’re SOL. Do NOT recommend this product as it’s clearly unreliable.

This is a pretty good product if you want to keep your same door hardware. The Bluetooth is horrible. That’s the only way to connect to set everything up. Also getting everything connected in the home app is challenging. Not an easy process, all because of the Bluetooth connect issues. In the setup process you do your WiFi connection. Once I got everything working I went into settings and turned Bluetooth off. Once you get the Bluetooth turned off the WiFi works seamlessly. If Bluetooth remains on it will default to that connection if you are in range. Overall it’s a good product. They just need to work on the Bluetooth issues.

This lock works fantastic as expected, very reliable.

Works properly. It took some time to install but the payoff was worth it. The instructions were relatively easy. I would recommend the item. It also pretty seamlessly synced with my google home. I can lock and unlock this lock remotely now.

I would call this average. I like the lock itself. Extremely easy to install. Works smoothly. The keypad is a different story. The design is small, yet weirdly manages to be bulky. The code doesn't always take, even if I slow down and take extra care to make sure I am pushing all the buttons correctly. The other issue is the connectivity with features on the app. I don't know if the issue lies within the app or the hardware, but there are features I would like to use, yet cannot because I keep getting connectivity errors. We actually have really decent wifi here and the doors are all located, what I would think, within a pretty short distance of our router/modem with the farthest door being an estimated 25 ft. One feature which I was able to access and have given a go at has been very disappointing. It's the "auto-unlock" when we get back to our property. I've waited several minutes right in front of the door to be let in and still it's "working on it". So I get impatient and just punch in the code. At this point, I don't even wait anymore for the lock to auto-unlock because it takes so long. It's not even worth having. So, if those features are ever fixed, I'm sure I would increase the rating but for now... I feel like I could've gotten a better experience with another product that claimed less features.

This was fairly easy to install. I mounted one base plate wrong side out but that was my misreading of the instructions. Something went wrong with my initial connection to my phone (android) and I had to call August technical support. The person in tech support was excellent and walked me through fixing the problem (flushing phone buffers??) If you plan to use the auto lock feature, I strongly suggest making sure you get the keypad (I got the combo pack but they are available separately).

I reviewed a lot of smart locks and decided to get this for ease of installation and operation. The reviews were spot on. Glad I went with August.

Frequently gets stuck in a door opening loop and won’t stop making noise until fully reset. I have tried a bunch of different fixes with no luck. Can be pretty annoying and unreliable.

Trash. Terrible batter life (sometimes last only 2 days), doesnt always work with the door lock, keypad just doesnt work on one of the two locks i bought. Cheaper and better alternatives exist

This lock is good but I had a few problems with connection to my Wi-Fi found out that I needed to only connect to a 2.5GHz Because my router continuously switches from 2.5 to 5 I had to manually switch off the five so that my lock didn’t disconnect frequently which drains your battery also

I was looking for a HomeKit compatible lock and this was the lock suggested on almost every review site. Great smart lock. Easy to use & set up.

Once in a while you come across a product that installs just like the YouTube installation videos depict. And this was one of those times. Easy easy install. Great App and connectivity.

Works well. Uses batteries fast. Sometimes locks when door is open.
