      So sorry to hear this. We'd love to help you out. We've got a new iOS app on the way that will improve connection speed to the video.

      We are able to see the WiFi signal that the Doorbell is picking up in our system. Keep in mind, it is a much smaller devices that your phone or computer, so the WiFi antenna is smaller. If you're seeing below -66 in the signal strength, an extender is recommended.

      Sorry to hear this! We're always working to improve our products and since release of the August Doorbell Cam have released firmware just about every week to add stability and reliability.

      For point 1 you make, RC94 should address these issues you are seeing. Please make sure you have this one and let us know if you have any other issues - our support can be reached at

      For point 2, there should not be any tolerance issues, we'd love to see what you're talking about and get this addressed. Ping us at and we can video call with you to see this issue.

      For point 3, we'll provide this feedback to our product team.

      On the improvements you suggest, firmware version RC94 should address point 1. We have a fix coming on the backlighting for point 2.

      For the wiring, it does not matter which one you connect on which side. We'll be sure to get our install guide updated with this feedback.

      We checked into your ticket and see that the Doorbell Cam is receiving a very low Wi-Fi signal, this would be the cause of the video feed issue as well as the slowness to respond.
