This frame is very nice looking and the screen is crisp and displays nicely. It comes fully assembled with power supply that needs to be plugged in. My only real major flaw I removed a star for is, they did not include any way to wall mount this. It is slanted so it won't stay on a screw or hook to hang, seems like a missed opportunity. Adding photos is done via an app on android or ios and simply sharing photos from your phone to the app. This is nice that you can add as many photos as you want and at least on ios it will display live photo's and play them as well. You can use the app to also edit how often the slides change in the app. Overall it is very nice and haven't had any issues other than the no wall mount option.

The Aura Mason Luxe Digital Frame has a bright, high resolution display! It has simple controls and does a great job of centering photos automatically! Design The Mason Luxe has some weight to it, but I mean that in a good way. It feels solid and well made. I think it's a great size for photo viewing at 9.7" with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The display is bright and very sharp at 2048x1536 with 264dpi. The viewing angle is good too. You can see it well from the top, bottom, and sides thought it looks a little bright to me straight on. It's designed to be used in portrait or landscape. There is a touch bar to control it that's on the top, one for portrait and one for landscape. It has a braided power cord which goes along with the quality of the rest of the device. Controls The touch-bar on the top works well and is simple to use with only a few things to remember. You can swipe left or right to move to the next or previous picture. Tapping once brings up a window that shows the location of the picture, the name person who uploaded it, and the time/date stamp of the picture. Tapping again makes that go away. You can double-tap the touch bar to "love" a photo and you'll see a heart appear on the screen for a short time. If you tap and hold on the touch bar it gives you the option to close the menu, remove the current photo, or shutdown the frame. You can turn it back on by tapping the touch bar. Features I love being able to swipe between pictures. It's very easy and responsive. It goes to sleep if the lights in the room go off. When you turn the lights back on it wakes up. One very cool thing it does is automatically centering people in the frame when it changes orientation from vertial to horizontal. So not only does it sence when you turn it and rotate the piture, but if you have a landscape picture with two people standing next to each other near the one side, and you turn the frame into the portrait position, it will automatically move the pictures so the people are towards the center of the picture instead of one or both being cut off. I used to spend a lot of time adjusting images for a specific orientation with an older digital frame I had. This does that automatically and very well! Another thing that's very cool is the way others can add their pictures to the frame. I'll talk about that next. Aura App The Aura app is required to put pictures on the frame. It's easy to use and does what's needed letting you change the amount of time before it changes pictures and some other settings. My favorite function of the app is that other can install it and then you can invite them to put pictures on the frame. My family went on a trip but I had to stay home. It was so cool to see new pictures they took show up on the Mason Luxe! The app also gives me notifications to tell me when new pictures are added and other things related to the frame. When new pictures are added, it will put them on next - instead of waiting until the end. I love the way this works! I don't need to use a device to see new pictures. They pick out the best ones and put them directly on the frame from wherever they are! You can add an unlimited number of pictures. You can also add more than one frame to the app - so you could have one, or more, in every room. Summary I think the Aura Mason Luxe Digital Frame packs great image quality and features with a into a digital frame that looks good and is very practical to use. It's simple while having a few powerful features like auto positioning of pictures and photo sharing.

I thought this would be a great gift for my wife but I didn't realize how great. When I received it I saw that I could load pictures to the Aura - Mason Luxe 9.7'' LCD Wi-Fi Digital Photo Frame without even opening the box. I just peeled back a small corner portion of the box to unveil a QR code. That took me to the setup where I could load pictures to the frame without even opening the box. my wife was so surprised that the frame came preloaded with pics of our family. The frame itself looks good sitting on her desk with it's dark grey finish and mitered edges. The pictures really pop with the 9.7" LCD screen that can be set up in portrait or landscape mode. The thing to me that makes it soooo cool is that you can invite friends and family to add photos no matter where they are. Our boys live in different states but with an invitation to their phone they downloaded the app, set up an account and could add photos whenever they want. That's amazing!!! I thought this was going to be a frame where I had to connect it to my computer and drag pictures over but being able to add photos wirelessly is great. I have my photos stored in google photos so all I had to do was allow the app to use Google photos and I had access to 1000's of pictures to load. Just check each photo you want to add and then hit submit. I don't think there 's a limit as to how many you can add at once. I added over 200 pics in just a minute or two. Super cool. This makes an amazing gift for parents, friends, and spouses.

Not having used a digital frame before, I was interested to see how they worked. The Aura frame give digital frames a good name. The frame itself looks great. It s nice tough to be able to change orientation depending on how you choose to display it. its easy to set up and holds thousands of pictures. The ability to manually scroll through the pictures is a great addition as well.

In the age of digital transformation, I appreciate it when companies try to bring something more tangible/physical into our lives. All in all, the Aura-Mason Luxe blew my expectations out of the water, but there were still a few things I'd like to change. So almost perfect... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- What I loved: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS On the back of the box, you're given instructions on how to set up the frame and the Aura app that you need to download to get started. GIFT GIVING: I love that they also give you an option to give the frame as a gift and preload photos and a message without actually removing/turning on the frame by scanning the QR code. Once the recipient plugs it in for the first time, the QR code is deactivated. UNLIMITED CLOUD STORAGE: Upload as many photos and videos as you want. Plus your family members, who download the app, can send you photos directly to the frame. You can upload the photos directly from your phone via app or desktop via web browser. VIDEO: Play 30s of video HIGH-QUALITY FRAME Aura has really put a lot of thought into the frame exterior as well, the "pebble" has a graphite/concrete feel to it and it's a bit hefty. So you don't have to worry that it'll fall over with a small to medium shake. It's also pretty versatile. You can sit it as landscape or portrait. SLEEP MODE If there's no light detection, the frame enters sleep mode. TOUCH BAR I actually like that there's a touch bar to swipe/browse through photos. I'm sure other people may prefer a touch screen, but I like that it isn't. Can you imagine all the fingerprints? ULTRA HD DISPLAY Need I say more? The photos are crystal clear (as clear as the resolution they were in ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- What I hope to see in the future: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Matching power cord with the frame - in the package, you're given a white braided power cord, which is nice but I'd prefer it to match the frame. An internal and/or external storage so you're relying on having a constant WIFI connection. Also concerned about what will happen if the company goes out of business (which I hope doesn't). It would've been also nice to see it, partner, up with some of the bigger photo storage companies which would ease my worries a bit. An internal battery would also be nice, especially if there's a power outage.

The Aura Mason Luxe Digital frame is a great quality frame with a crystal-clear picture but comes with some drawbacks. The frame is packed very nicely and includes the option to gift it to someone just by scanning a QR code, so you can set it up for them without having to open the box up. The frame itself is heavier than I thought, and it’s made of good quality. The power cord is even really nice with a rounded metal plug and a cloth cord. Setting up the frame is very simple, it’s all done through the Aura app. This is where you can create an account, add people to have access to your frame, name your frame, and add photos and videos. There are also more settings you can adjust in the app like changing how long each slide plays, as well as how to play slides, either by date or shuffle. On the top and side of the frame, there is a touch bar that is used to swipe forward and backward, double tap to heart a picture, and long press to bring up the power menu. The screen is not a touchscreen, hence why there’s a touch bar. The frame has no internal memory, and everything is stored in the cloud. Transferring content can be done either by your phone through the Aura app, or you can log onto the app through a web browser to transfer from a computer. Transferring, is very fast and works flawlessly, not to mention you get unlimited storage in the cloud. The pictures look really good on the UHD display and can be presented in landscape or portrait. The frame also has a sensor that puts the frame to sleep when there’s no light detected and wakes up instantly when there is light detected. A few things to keep in mind about this frame…1. There is no SD or USB slot to manually load or store photos, all photos and videos are stored directly in the cloud. This brings me to number 2. You have to be connected to WiFi in order for your frame to work. This leaves me with many concerns, the biggest one being, what happens if the company goes out of business and shuts down it’s servers? You’re left with a useless frame. Overall, the picture quality as well as the overall quality of the frame is great. The ability to add photos and videos to the frame just by selecting them on your phone is very easy. The free unlimited storage in the cloud seems too good to be true, but gladly accepted. My only complaints are this has to be connected to wifi in order to work and there’s no internal storage or expandable storage. To me this raises a lot of questions...But as for now, it’s a great value and I would recommend it if you’re looking for a digital photo frame.

I got the Aura Mason Luxe digital picture frame for my wife and she absolutely loves it. It was really easy to set up and it is even easier to load pictures to it. I love it so much that I got one for my parents as well. They love that I can upload pictures for them wirelessly so they always have new pictures of their kids and grandkids.

This is a great frame for the quasi tech savvy or for someone who is quasi tech savvy gifting to someone who isn't. The app for Android worked flawlessly to setup as my own unit using the Bluetooth connection and it also worked great using the gift QR code hidden under the paper on the underside of the box. You don't need the QR code to give this as a gift, but it really did make setup a breeze. You can setup the WiFi for the recipient as well as preloading photos on to it. The photos will load onto the unit the first time they set it up and connect it to their WiFi. You can also invite others to pre-upload photos if you want to give this as a family gift. The 2k display looks gorgeous and I couldn't find many photos that didn't look great. There was a little light bleed on the edge of mine with very black photos, but no worse than your average TV screen. While the unit sits great in landscape mode, portrait did not feel as stable. Some sort of pop out stand for the back would have made this much better. I also would have liked some way to hang this from a wall that was built in to the unit. I wouldn't trust the plastic lip on the back to properly hold on to a nail.

this is a great gift idea. you can have anyone scan the code on the outside of the box so they can add pictures. then give it to the person you want to give as a gift and when they set it up those pictures will show up. you can also add members so they can add pictures. right now the reason i am giving a 4 star. some pictures seem to get trimmed. the picture would show up in the app and on my phone but when it goes onto the frame itself some of the edges seemed to be trimmed. i also wished that videos could be longer. but they are limited to 30 seconds. maybe a warning to remind you and let you know you have a longer video and if you would like to trim it or keep it. but again, be nice to have longer. also would be nice to have a battery backup. but overall enjoying it and kids are always loading pictures into it. fun to have and quality of the photos are great.

I go this for my inlaws. It was something they knew about and had said they wanted. First off I like how you can set it up so when they receive it it can have the pictures already attached. I did not opt to do that as I wanted my father in law get used to the app and set it up on his phone. Setup was a breeze and picture looks amazing! 10" seems too big but it actually looked just right in the dresser they put it on. Very stylish and really cool and different tech gift that is not too challenging for those not comfortable with technology.
