This is a well designed surge protector. It looks great and I like the 45 degree angle side winder wire from the plug so I can plug 2 in one outlet. The wide spacing between outlets for obscurely wide plugs that are so common these days is great and a must. Basically the designers thought of everything with this. I notice the EMF noise removal with my sensitive equipment. It is a bummer this is a sacrificial surge protector in that it will wear out but I'm weary of the non-sacraficial supplies' power cutoff response time which I was seeing as 1/4 a second. I could see even that short amount of time frying equipment.

Beautiful unit, outstanding specs…But per the manual: This unit has an internal disconnect device that will disengage all protective surge functions after 5 years, then replace with a new unit. After 5 years you will have a power strip with no protection. Cost $200. Added 1 Star for Cosmetic Beauty

As soon as I unpackaged this it was obvious how good of quality it was. Very sturdy and well put together. Plugs firmly “snap” into place on each of the outlets so you know they are secure. Also with plenty of space between outlets for clunkier plugs. And the lights indicating proper function is very nice. I feel good having my home theatre hooked into the Austere unit.

I got the Austere VII surge protector strip because I spent 3000+ on a custom computer and I wanted to make sure that I was protecting it as best as I can. After reading into what joules are and realizing that I am spending less money at the risk of my hardware was not sitting with me well. So I decided to get this power strip and it has been fantastic. I get the peace of mind knowing my electronics are protected. It is clean and looks amazing. Definitely worth every penny and would recommend.

I bought this product to protect all my gaming equipment. It looks nice, and sleek. The blue light indicators are also really helpful with knowing if my equipment is protected. I also really like the USB A and C slots to charge my phone and other accessories.

Going on my second unit that, after a year it fails to protect the connected devices. Both units third light goes dark which indicates no protection. Poor quality for the money.
