Will not work for Service Functions on cars newer than 2018! This was NOT disclosed in 2021 when I purchased this from Amazon. I already had an OBD II scan device. I purchased this Autel device to register a new battery in a 2016 Porsche Macan & a 2019 Porsche 911… in the future. I “tested it” by hooking it up & checking that is did read the diagnostic codes…it did read them, for both cars so I, incorrectly, assumed this device would register batteries for these cars… in the future. And for any & all future Porsches. I have no expiration date ∞, for Porsche cars. Wrong! When I purchased, the Amazon description (I copied & saved it) stated: "Access all modules for your selected manufacturer.” “For use with all 1996 & newer OBDII Compliant Vehicles” I did use it, end of 2022, to register a new battery for my 2016 Porsche Macan. In January 2024, I tried to use it to register the battery for my 2019 Porsche 911. I spent hours trying to get it to work… w/o success. Instead of the battery registration screen, I got: “Service: No Sequence Available” I tried emailing but, got no reply. I called but, very long hold times. > ½ hr. Finally, days later, I called & got an Autel Support Rep.  I explained, hoping he would tell me how to register the battery but, instead he said it will not work on my 2019 car bc coverage only goes up to 2017! I asked: “Why would you sell a tool in 2021, that would NOT work on the past 3 years of cars?” He could not care less. Said I should buy the Autel MX900 ($599.00) Instead, I purchased the “2024 Launch CRB 5001” from Amazon ($139.00) and successfully registered the new battery on my 911. I will never purchase another Autel product due to deceptive marketing & poor customer service.
