I LOVE this drone. It is extremely stable and easy to fly. The pictures and videos are amazing. The only thing I wish it had was more autonomous flight modes.

I am new to using drones. My Autel Evo was easy to fly, has good battery life and can be flown without using your phone. I had to figure out how to download videos to my phone. Just some advice for those of you who might be thinking of buying one. Download times can be long so I changed the format to 1080 at 30fps. Video quality looked really good in that format. If you have an iPhone you need to get a lightning adapter. I got a good deal on it at $999 it came with a carrying case, 2 extra batteries, a memory card and a $100 gift card from best buy.

I waited until Best Buy included the extra batteries and $100 gift card. Coming from the X-Star drone by Autel, I was already happy with their durability and quality. The EVO is no different. It is actually easier to get it up and flying. It easier to land and shutdown. I have not tested the range but I am seeing tests that average 3.5 miles. This is a great drone and after experiencing the great customer service from Autel - I did not even consider the overpriced DJI Mavic for one second. BUY THIS DRONE

this is my third camera droan. this is the best of the 3. also have Yuneec and a DJI. this one has every feature you can think of and ease to fly. If I had one thing I could change is my Typhoon has its own wide screen controller and I don't have to use my cell phone. my cell screen is usually broken lol. but this is a droan you can grow into ,when you get good flying first person you can put it into its fastest mode and it is awesome with virtual googles.

First off the unboxing. You can tell Autel wanted this to be a nice added touch. Everything is well laid out, with power and controller icons so you know what is in each box, and all separated. There is also another box under the 2 with other accessories. The drone itself is very well protected with nice matte foam on top, and each propeller individually wrapped. The upper orange part of the drone has peel away plastic protecting it from scratches. In the box you of course get the EVO drone, the OLED display controller, the battery charger, 2 sets of spare blades, a USB cable for charging, and another USB cable that has the older USB connector for some older phones, and USB C. This cable is for connecting the controller to your phone. Its nice that they made sure it had both types. And you also get a Quick Guide. The drone itself very well built and solid. Its obvious Autel put a lot of work into this thing. Multiple collision sensors, an amazing gimbal and a very high quality camera. The camera has a nice removable plastic cover to keep it safe when not in use. It easily snaps off with a press of the sides. The legs have nice rubber pads at the bottom, and are very sturdy. The arms fold and and lock solidly in place, and while closing them they fold back in place on their own after pushing them in to a certain point. This is an amazing solid, well built drone. The controller is perfect for anyone use to video game console controllers. Its got some heft to it and is also well built. It has foldable handles that pull out and snap in place, making it feel almost like an XBOX controller. The phone holder also folds out and is fully adjustable. I had no problem getting my large Galaxy S9+ in it. And once it was in, it stayed in place no problem. The thumbsticks are a bit small, but have well designed grooves to keep your thumbs from slipping. It doesnt take long to get use to. The antennas fold out and can be turned and adjusted to your liking. The buttons on it are power, pause, take off/ land, 2 rollers, “bumper” buttons for record and taking pictures, and on the back are A and B buttons. It might seem like a lot, but considering most standard console controllers have even more buttons its not that difficult once you get used to which one is which. The controller even has cooling fans, how “cool” is that? Pun intended. The OLED display is awesome. Very bright, crisp, with very nice colors, and easy to read even in moderate sunlight. But if your going to rely on your phone I recommend a shade for it. Set up is very easy. Charge the battery for the initial flight. Download the app if you are going to be using your phone as well, although this isnt required. You can fly it just using the included controller, although it is a much nicer experience and easier using your phone as well. Once charged turn on the controller and press the power button for 3 seconds. You can also hold it for just one second to check the battery level. Mine came with about 1 out of the 4 LEDs lit up. It should auto connect to the controller. Then connect your phone to the controller with the cable and set up the app. Once done with that your'e ready to fly. The drone itself has multiple flight, camera, and speed modes. If you are new to flying I recommend starting at the lowest speed and working up from there. Flying this thing is a joy. Extremely stable, fast when you want it, and has so many safety features and collision sensors to make flying a blast, yet safe at the same time. A low battery warning lets you know when your'e cutting it close. But thankfully while its in that mode you can override it if it is trying to land somewhere unsafe. So better safe then sorry. Get it home before that even happens. The return to home feature is also very accurate. Within a foot or so. So if your in a park or wide open area you should have no problem getting it to land where you launched from. It runs up to 30 minutes, but might take a few charges to get that full amount. The camera is AMAZING!! Along with the gimbal it takes amazing smooth videos, and very high quality pictures. It has optical zoom to get in close when you cant fly closer, and several follow modes for sporting, etc. Once I am a little more experienced with it and buy another battery I plan on getting some aerial footage of me on my motorcycle. It also came with a nice carrying case as well. Didnt expect that. It has excellent protection and separation to store all your stuff while out and about. Overall Ill say again what I said in the title. This is by far the best drone I have ever had. With a ridiculous amount of features, solid build of the drone and controller, safety features and sensors, AMAZING camera this is the one to get. High, High, Highly recommended.

Easy set up, easy to fly and great pictures! Stable enough for all but the windy-est days. Battery gives a safe 18-20 min flight time (depends on wind) with enough reserve to feel confident in getting it back safely. Get a secondary screen and sun shade. Make sure the smartphone or tablet you use has enough processor power for the video. My old Samsung S6 was lacking but a new Galaxy Tab A was perfect.

My Autel Robotics EVO quadcopter arrived two days after having placed my order. Since its introduction, the EVO has received numerous firmware updates, all of which have improved the flying characteristics and stability of the aircraft, according to drone flying enthusiasts. The EVO is both a work of art and a remarkable technological achievement for Autel Robotics. The EVO is exceedingly well built. It is a pleasure to maneuver and the video is stunning, especially with the use of a quality lens filter. The remote controller’s display screen is vividly colorful and very intuitive. To be sure, there will continue to be major advancements in this industry, however, the EVO should provide many hours of enjoyment both in its flying prowess and exceptional imagery. Lastly, and quite importantly, before you launch your aircraft for its maiden flight, remember to register with the FAA, become familiar with the flying rules and know how to accomplish a very thorough preflight checklist. Discipline, maturity and good judgment are essential prior to, during and after each flight. Plan your flights, know your personal limitations and respect your environment, to include current and forecast weather conditions and people and property in the vicinity of your flight. Flying, in all of its forms, is a rewarding experience, from which great pride is derived, but only when it is accomplished properly.

This drone is easy to use and navigate. I was always a little hesitant to buy a drone because I feared it would be complicated to navigate but this one is pretty easy. There are a lot cool features that are certain to make your videos seem like a professional shot them. Drone takes both video and pictures. I highly recommend this drone.

I have 6 drones and I consider this one of the best I own. Flys further than any I own. Extremely stable in flight and video. I would recommend this drone platform to anyone interested in flying and drone photography

Easy to use, great footage! It basically works really well within a half mile if you have line of sight. The app is great. I recorded 4k soccer games and broke down the footage with my son! It was a lot of fun!

Its my second prosumer-level drone, and have to say it is right up there with build quality and fun factor, but what makes this one special is it has slightly longer flight times (averaging 25 min), max distance, and max speed.

This is a great drone it’s easy to transport it has a very good camera it has fantastic support seven days a week and they’ve just started a outstanding buyback program where they give you money for your old drone

Amazing drone! Great camera and all around a great flying drone. It’s right up there with the dji drones! Easy to use and no flight restrictions! The screen on the camera is one of my favorite things about it.

Great drone, great camera, great customer service when it comes to Autel. Picked up the Evo in November and could not be happier. After the last few updates from Autel they have worked out most issues with the Autel Robotics Evo. The horizon tilt is gone. Ludicrous Mode and Precision Mode have been added with the updates. If your looking for a good drone with a camera on par with the DJI Mavic Zoom and a close second to the Mavic Pro 2 look at the Autel Evo. Just search for YouTube videos and watch and learn how great this Drone has become. Great deal right now as you can get the On the Go bundle for free from Autel this month. Only flown it twice. But love it. I had a DJI3 and it would only go 1/2 mile. This drone just keeps flying . And camera quality is good. Only bad. Is they need to include instructions in the box

This was my first drone purchase, so I don’t have anything else to compare it with, but I’m pleased with the ease of use and video quality. It should suffice for most applications outside of commercial use. There are lots of YouTube tutorials you can watch as well.

This is my first serious camera drone. Absolutely incredible! Very easy to fly and the video and still photos are stunning. Drone operates as advertised with no glitches.
