TV required the 3.5mm plug to work. Noticed on several reviews that the cable connections to the plug were crossed on some units. Since I had the pin-out for which color should go to which segment on the plug for my TV, I checked this one out and sure enough, the red and yellow were swapped. So I connected it knowing this, but it didn't work as expected. Found out my DVD player wasn't just old, it was broke. But I think if you buy this it should be "buyer beware" because of the potentially swapped connections. The quality of these are not consistent.
