    L-R-G-V, Pioneer sequence

    Posted .

There are several variations of what appear to be the same cable, unfortunately vendors very rarely indicate the order each wire corresponds to the connector end. You can get by with any variation if the ground is in the right spot for your device, just the color coding will not match the standard function. This is the exact layout for a pioneer head unit input - tip to base (L-R-G-V). I previously ordered a cord from Amazon that indicated this sequence in several Q/A's and reviews, only to find out the product currently shipping had ground on the inside sleeve and doesn't work for the previously reviewed applications. Bottom line, you can make this work for any device with 2nd ring ground, but not inside sleeve ground. My pioneer install manual stated the pin sequence, I imagine some vendors don't, as most cord vendors don't state... it's frustrating and not hard for companies to fix.

Great for hooking up Sega Genesis to TCL TV

Yep, in 2020, a Sega Genesis. The original 1989 Model 1 US Sega Genesis. The cable does exactly what it's supposed to do. The cable colors were correct, didn't need to swap any around as others have mentioned.

    MAJOR manufacturer QC issue

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

It works. It works fine. But, Yellow is Video. It's universal knowledge. Somehow, in the internal wiring of the Mini jack, Red became Video and Yellow became Audio. So, while it works fine, it's a GLARING manufacturing defect that should have been corrected. Not many people are going to try to plug their video into the Red jack. I wouldn't have, had it not been for Mikey's review. AXXESS, you gotta have better QC than this. So, plug the yellow female on the AXXESS into the red male of your extension cord. White stays with white. The red female on the AXXESS goes into the yellow male of your extension cord. Then plug the other end of the extension cord into the proper colors on your VCR or TV or whatever else you're connecting the mini av to.

    Wiring still wrong, but worse!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

As Mikey and Bones mentioned in their reviews, the wiring was wrong on my cable as well. I wish it would have been as simple as theirs (one audio channel swapped w/ video). Instead on mine the ground and video lines were swapped! I was forced to splice wires and solder to correct the wiring. In any other circumstance I would have returned it and ordered another one (different mfgr. of course). Because of the COVAD-19 lock down, nothing will ship out until next month. But now it is working. Sigh.
