Simple enough task, splice some wires together, plug in adapters here and there and you're ready to put the radio into the dash and turn it on...except...there are extra wires that have not been connected and the instructions aren't very descriptive as to what to do with them. Tells you what they are for, but doesn't tell you to bypass the harness and splice directly. Instructions could be much better, take out the guessing game and potential bad install. Go slow and you can save a few hundred $'s for the install.

I had a Geek Squad tech member install this harness into my 2004 Silverado and works great so far. No problems.

Works great, easy to install and so far a month of entertainment.

I installed this in an 08 Colorado and this adapter was super easy to install if you have any bit of electronic proficiency. It works as intended. I get to keep my OnStar functions, door chimes, and my continuous power after the vehicle is off and removed before I close the door. The only thing with it that makes it not perfect, is that the chime will ring through the driver side door and cut out your music for that 1 speaker if you don't buckle your seatbelt or if you have the key on and the door open while working on the vehicle outside and just want music.

This was the longest part of the installation. More wires than you need in most cases. Just take your time and make sure you are connecting the right wires.

This was used in the installation of my Kenwood radio by Geek Squad. It works just how I wanted it to work so I'm happy with the entire installation.

I got a radio for my boyfriend for christmas and was leaving for the Air Force 5 weeks after Christmas. When I got him the radio I didnt realize I needed to make an appointment for him, so when he called they were all booked up..but I told the guy my situation and he was more than happy to put it in for me! This guy did an amazing job installing it, very fast and very helpful! Thank you so much for your work and thank you for making time to install my boyfriends radio so he could enjoy it before he left for the military! I appreciate it!

Instructions were easy to understand. Pretty much plug an play. Made installing radio very easy. No wire splicing. Makes it easy to put factory deck back in if you are getting rid of the vehicle.

The unit originally installed failed, was able to replace just the unit and my entire system was back.

this aftermarket radio installation kit was easy to install and i was able to keep stock vehicle options as well.

For my truck there was many different kits and this one is the easiest and best was to go. Can't go wrong.

Having heard horror stories, this harness made everything work as it should. No issues post installation.

Worked to install in GM cargo van to replace broken radio

Installed this in my 2001 Malibu and mostly pleased with it. The chimes aren't that bad and while they sound a little different, its nothing bad. Retains the RAP feature, but its a little buggy. With the stock stereo you could turn the car off with no delay in hearing your radio. With this installed, you DO lose your radio for a few seconds when you turn the car off. It comes back on in about 5 seconds but its annoying regardless. Another downside is that your car will no longer prevent itself from locking when your keys are in the ignition so its easier to lock yourself in the car after installing this. Other then that, it works well and as intended.
