I love It, save money from the PlayStation Portable and instead buy this. You can play PlayStation and Xbox, also you can connect any Bluetooth headphones to your phone.

Great controller for any Android. An iPhone option is available as well. Work great with Remote Play and any Rom Games you may have. I use it to play GBA, GB, and Playstation 2 games using an emulator. I DO NOT recommend using emulators for the iPhone variant as Apple is very picky on those sort of things. Could be a little cheaper though, recommend waiting until it goes on sale during the holidays

This works like advertised. It connects to your Playstation for remote play as long as Playstation is on rest mode. It connects well with streaming apps. I can use this on my xbox gamepass and plays steam games on Nvidia.
You can also play while charging.
The buttons feel like you are using a Playstation controller.
Overall for price, you dont need a Playstation portable when you have this as an option

I love that i can make my galaxy s23 ultra into a handheld.the backbone app is great and gives u an idea of what game have controller support...since this thing feels like a Nintendo switch , you u should find some thumb stick extenders if u want to play competitive fps games,it makes it easier to aim. I was able to remote my ps5 on my phone using this backbone and it works well, latency is good but not as good as playing natively on ps5,so long as u have good internet on your ps5 and phone, remote is great..remote play on xbox series x was not as great as the ps5 remote play. The xsx remote play displays in low resolution and low frames.ps5 does a good job at that.. i give the Backbone playstation edition a 9/10 for a smooth interface for the back one app on Android and the features for chat invites ,screen shot button. It has a usb c to charge your phone without taking your phone off the controller .Love this thing.. FYI not all games on Android have controller support so make sure before you buy

This is a great option for mobile gaming, especially if you stream PS5, Xbox, or Steam games.
The buttons are really responsive, and despite being powered by the phone, the drain seems to be very minimal. It does gave a USB C port on it, which is convenient for charging when playing. That being said, my phone can get pretty warm when streaming games, and it gets even hotter when charging while playing. At least once, a heat warning flashed on my phone when I was charging while playing.
Since my phone only allows for BT headphones, it's nice that the Backbone has a headphone jack. Although sound is great with my BT buds, there is a slight lag in audio and what's happening on the screen. Plugging in headphones eliminates the delay.
There are a few disappointments. The fiery is, if your phone is in a case, that will need to be removed before sliding it into the Backbone. Also, because of the way my camera bump is designed, the padding on the left side of the Backbone supports the back of the phone, but there's a gap between the padding and the back of the phone on the rigtt side, meaning that the rigtt side is totally supported by the usb C port on the phone. Eventually, I'm going to glue in a small square of neoprene to better support the phone. That being said, the phone has never come out of the Backbone on its own. It's very snug. Another disappointment is there's no internal battery for the option to connect via Bluetooth. So you'll pretty much only being using this with your phone plugged into it. They have since added support for tablets, but it requires both paying for a Backbone subscription plan to unlock the feature, and also tethering the Backbone to the tablet with a USB C cable.
I paid full price for it, but I think it's way to expensive for the convenience. Before I got this, I was simply pairing a PS5 dualsense controller to my phone. I think $50-$60 is a reasonable price for what it delivers.

This is basically the only way I get to play video games anymore. The Backbone is pretty comfortable, though I think the grips could be made slightly bigger for ergonomics. It’s also a little pricy considering it doesn’t actually have much in the way of sophisticated features. It isn’t adding any battery life, there are no haptics, no force feedback, and yet it is still $100. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great product, definitely pick it up if it’s on sale.

This is a great little device. Unlike the kishi, this device does indeed allow you to use physical buttons with the PS5 remote play app. It does works with Xbox as well. The backbone app has to be on while you use it, but it is not intrusive. The buttons are responsive and nicely made. The control sticks are also acceptable. I only have 4 issues with this device.
1. the passthrough power port is narrow. If you have a usb cable with a thick coat. (think nintendo switch usb cables) it won't fit.
2. Unlike the kishi, your phone will not fit snuggly into the device. It won't slip out, but the kishi's fit just makes me feel better.
3. The grips are small for big handed people. not uncomfortable, (think the switch without a 3rd party grip) but long-term play will probably result in cramps.
4.Biggest issue. No home button. the 2 extra buttons are for capture and to open up the backbone app. one of those buttons should have been to emulate the PS or Xbox home buttons. As it stands now, you have to navigate the PS and Xbox app on your phone's screen to get to the consoles' home. Plus there is no way to remap those (in my opinion) worthless buttons.
PS's remote play device is rumored to be $300. Don't waste your money. Grab your phone, get this backbone for $100 and have fun. Plus, you can use it with Xbox's remote play.

Truly an excellent controller for the phone. My one downside is there is a slight curve on the edge of the left and right side that holds the phone, which doesnt allow it to fit on my S23 Ultra fully. It still works but does not fit snug, unlike the kishi v2. This is offset by the fact that it allows official ps remote play support without having to remap the touch screen like you have to do with other similar products.

This is a great device. It doesn’t require any batteries. It hooks right into my phone, and works as a bluetooth device that connected immediately to my wi fi for my Playstation. Even though I have an old PS4, it works great with no lag. I'm even using the backbone for my android games. This is what the PSP and Vita should have been years ago. The buttons are sturdy and responsive, and the sensitivity can be adjusted in the options menu if you are a heavy handed player.

The only reason that I didn't give this 5 stars is that the grips are too small for large hands. I'm 6'2" and my hands are about 8". The backbone gets uncomfortable quickly. I did find a store online that sells grip extensions which were a huge help. Everything else about the functionality is awesome.

awesome functionality. I have used steam and geforce now playing cyberpunk. Resolution can be issues with some of the details because your trying to fit it all on your phone screen. However it works like it should and gives me awesome portability. Wish it could work with your phone case but can't have it all.

Great addition for my gaming on the go. I love to be able to play my PS5 on the go. I have had no lag like i did when linking my PS5 controller via bluetooth. Mobile games play great as well. FPS games on PS5 are hard to play on it but other than that other games play great. Diablo 4 plays great as well.

It's a great product and works well. All the buttons feel good (I wish the triggers were tighter) but it gets the job done. The screen on the phone is always really small but that's a phone problem of course. Not a backbone problem.
