After the recent updates it's 100% worth it!! It has its own OS and the abilitu to be used as a standalone gaming console. Although an internet connection is needed, it functions at a satisfactory level when even just connecyes through yoir phones hotspot.

Just a seamless experience and perfect for Destiny Rising. Wish it came with a case though. You also need to pay for a subscription through backbone if you want more features and their own games but it’s not required. Really good app though, no complaints there. The only thing I wish it either came with or had some kind of way to implement is a fan cooler. I own two now and can’t use them while it is attached due to how the back of the phone is blocked by the part that expands. Not sure if it is possible, but just some feedback as people who use these are definitely playing titles that will thermal throttle your performance.

It’s a great device. The only issue is that it’s hard to check on battery if not in the app. Other than that, it’s really smooth and works well with both my iPhone 17 pro max and my zfold 7 Call of duty mobile works awesome

A bit bulkier than I expected but works well. Would be nice if it accommodated more cases.

Love the new upgraded version of the controller. The thicker grips, added bluetooth capability to game on any compatible device, and back button on the controller. This is by far my new favorite controller and i own the Ninbus+, turtle beach atom, original backbone, and amazon control. This one is by far the best.

Backbone pro is amazing, better ergonomics, triggers are more solid for triple A shooting games. Definitely recommend going with this version over the original, however its an expensive item. I would also recommend getting this one when its on sale ive seen it as cheap as $134.99 so thats when i would pick it up and not at full retail

This is the best version of the backbone to date. I had the backbone one version two with USB-C for iPhone 15 Pro max and up and it was cool. The handle was smaller but this version of the controller is great. I have also had the razer kishi ultra and i like this one more. This controller is super responsive. I just wish that you could listen to music through the USB-C port when you are not charging.

Overall the product is good and works as expected, the disappointment is it is designed to be used WITHOUT a phone case, unless you have only a generic slim case. So for that reason we decided not to keep it.

I have a Z-Fold7 and absolutely love this controller on the go. Its pretty seamless overall, keeps a good charge, and well worth the money spent.

Good controller overall, but was disappointed to find out PS Remote Play is not integrated in the software. Theres only one backbone that has it and its not the pro. There is a separate app for about 7 dolllars you can buy that works great to play playstation remotely. The controller works great with it. All xbox and computer game integration into the platform is seemless and beautiful. I have never tried another contoller, so i cant say if this is a good value. There may be a better value under $100 that works for everything as well, i just dont know if the other apps have an integrated platform like backbone does. If they dont, then that does quantify a bit of a price difference, but i dont know if its worth 100 extra over those options. Ill say i tentatively recommend this, but it may be worth it to research other options that may be more cost effective. The joysticks are also ser up top on the left and bottom on the right, so playstation users just be aware. Not a huge deal just somethinh to get used to The triggers for me (R1/R2,L1/L2) are too small and close togethet to be honest. Thats probably my biggest gripe. Other controllers may have larger ones that are more like other controllers with better spacing. The L1/R1s are very slim and rigjt up on the L2/R2 so its easy hit the wrong thing. The right stick is close to the bottom button as well so a little more disance would be nice.

Honestly, this was exactly what my son was hoping for and it works perfectly. The products is of a great standard and quality, and the people that we worked with at Best Buy were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and this is why we are consistent repeat customers.

after a few months, same problem keeps happening. L2 is stuck depressed even though button looks fine. the ribbon cable gets damaged from opening and closing. controller itself works great, but i know these were designed to break. had to order a 10 pack of replacement ribbons because this is my 4th one. after backbone sends you a replacement, they dont allow you to warranty that replacement. i enjoy using it, but the fact that the same exact problem keeps happening after many generations means they only care about money. tried to replace with razer kishi but it doesnt work as well.

My son absolutely loves it. It works with our current Xbox games we own. Great for roadtrips!

Favorite part is the buttons are so much quieter and have such a better feeling in the hands
