I loved the packaging. Pulling it out of the box was exciting, that seems the case for all Level products. It reminds me of pulling out a fancy new name brand phone or competitor smart product that puts a lot of thought into their packaging. In the box you’ve got an info card on top, the keypad below, an accessory box with double sided tape and mounting hardware, and an instruction booklet. I really wanna love it, but don’t expect perfection. Upon insertion of the batteries (and downloading of the app if you don’t already have it) you’ll add the keypad through the locks settings/gear cog icon. That’s where the first issue surfaced. The app asks for Bluetooth and to keep the device near the phone. For unkown reasons the app never found the keypad. After multiple app deletions, reset of the keypad, and tiring of it and leaving it alone for hours, it paired. The next issue springs up after it pairs and tells there’s need for a firmware update. When clicked to proceed it shows downloading then transferring to device or installing. However, it would always fail the transferring or installing process with an error message. During this whole process the phones at about 1ft distance with several attempts at inches having them laying on the counter. Nothing works. The lock itself is also on the counter with these in case it was acting as a relay. At this point I gave up out of frustration to try again the next day and force closed the app. The next day upon opening the app I noticed that it was already paired with the keypad but the firmware still needed an update. I gave that a shot and this time completed the process on the first try. I couldn’t figure what was different other than a process of the app wouldn’t let it complete upon pairing. At this point I’m ready to finally test it in a more real use case inside of a door. Setup a pass-code from the settings and give it a name “Guest” in this case. Press the buttons for my pin I setup and watch it lock/unlock. It works flawlessly. However, once in a while when you enter the pin it will delay for several seconds with the check mark button staying lit up. I assume this is a delay occurring between both devices, either the keypad struggles to send the message or the lock not able to receive it properly. All this is happening within 1ft of distance. I did begin to notice after many tries that the keypad doesn’t respond to every press within the circle. It seems to be within several mm of the center of the numbers. Press the edge of a number and it doesn’t register. To add to it there’s often times a delay between each press which makes you want to press the key a second time only to realize that the code is now wrong. It’s fairly annoying seeing as it doesn’t light up at any time other than when you press a button. Not having an option for ac power instead of batteries means that you also won’t have a permanent light on the keypad, and if Level decided to support that your batteries will run dry very quickly. Despite it looking beautiful, my situation calls for other needs and having issues mentioned makes me steer away.

The product is well designed and works ok. It was easy to connect to the Level Bolt lock. The reason for the 4 star review is that a couple of days after the install, it stopped working and I had to delete it from the lock and reconnect to fix it. While I was trying to figure out how to solve the issue, I called Level tech support. I gave up after around 15 minutes since no one picked up the call.

I’ve had the level bolt retrofit for over a year and it has been fantastic. My only real complaint was the lack of redundancy for getting into the house if there was a power or internet outage since it needs connectivity to operate properly. This keypad solves that issue, allowing me an additional way to get in while still remaining as easy to use and clean looking as ever. I am very happy it exists and makes my smart home even better

Hoenstly, I thought this would have dropped connection to the lock a lot; however, it hasnt dropped since installation. It works as intended, assign it a code or codes and unlock the lock!

Add a little convenience to my level bolt already installed in my door. Keypad is well laid out and sturdy.

Great product a little bit hard to read in the sun and somehow mine fell right off the door and got soaking wet so it completely stopped working but aside from that it is a great product and is a very easy inconvenient way to access your mom

Adding this keypad is a game changer for your Level. Super easy to set up and works great. This is the easiest way to share access to your door with family and friends. I mounted mine on a post near my lock so my door still looks totally clean. Love it!

Very easy to set up and use! Beware the tackiness of the single-use adhesive, as the backing is not very rigid and the shape of the sticker deforms easily. The face of the keypad is smooth and the numbers are well-laminated, so the legends won't wear off over time like often happens on keypads with raised buttons. Unfortunately, the keypad only comes in one color, which matches the satin finish more than the matte black one. An otherwise excellent accessory to accompany your Level lock!

The setup was simple. Codes can be easily established from the app, but you must be within Bluetooth range for the lock to receive the programming instructions. I'm typically nearby, so that's not an issue. But I will not be able to create and send someone a numeric code for immediate access if I'm away. The solution may be to make a temp code that's active, that I can share with someone while traveling, then deactivate the code when I return. Ease of setup and use earns this keypad option 5 stars from me.

We love it so far! It is easy to install. You can create many codes and set expiration dates on them. Perfectly works with a Level bolt and has no issue for far.

Easy to set up but kept losing internet connection despite a mesh network point within 5 feet.

I have been very happy with my Level Lock Bolt smart lock, and this keypad accessory makes it even better. I like that I don't need to fiddle with keys anymore to lock or unlock the door anymore. I also appreciate that this keypad gives me a way to let delivery drivers unlock my door and put packages inside my house or garage so they are safe from package thieves and bad weather. And I don't need to worry about leaving my house unlocked for the rest of the day because the smart lock can auto lock itself after being shut.

Easy to setup and works well. I use this to provide guest access to my house. Buttons are sometimes unresponsive with wet hands though. Do not use with rechargeable batteries since it will not turn on then.

This is a great accessory for Level Lock owners. We have a double cylinder deadbolt (no latch) on our glass front door with Level Lock hidden inside. We use this keypad to quickly unlock the door from inside when an iPhone or other device is not in reach (Apple requires an authenticated device be used for security). Most people will probably put it outside but works great for either application. It’s very quick and easy to setup. We just wanted something quicker than Siri for quick unlocking and this keypad achieves that.

Perfect match for the Level bolt, saved me many times although battery wears off fast

Product made pretty good. I would prefer a darker color. There were no other color options. I am having difficulties with the lock so i havent been able to pair and comment on the capability of the product. I would recommend do to the possibilities of the added convience this product can provide.

Easy keyless entry for the Level system, used along with the level lock +. Easy to use with multiple family members, everyone can have their own pin.

The keypad addition to the Smart Lock is a no brainer, it helps give access to one-time users or kids. It took only a few minutes to setup.
