I have watched this film a couple of times and will need to watch it at least once more to try and catch everything that is going on. Entertaining.

Crazy cast of characters get together in a remote hotel for a night of intrigue and violence. Some unexpected twists keep this one fun.

Darn good movie. It runs a little too long towards the end with maybe one too many character reveals, but overall this was a smart thriller.

I enjoyed this movie but it definetly didn’t meet the expectations I had. I’d give it a watch but wouldn’t waste money buying the dvd.

Plays like a Quentin Tarantino film, completely underappreciated and underrated. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack is reference track for sure, and the picture quality is lifelike.

Every now and then a Tarantinoesque movie comes along that actually lives up to the comparison. This is one of them. Saw it in the theater and couldn't wait to own it on disc.

I really enjoyed this film as a mystery period piece, even though I think it begins to fall apart in the 3rd act. Overall, worth seeing.

Bad Times at the El Royale wasn’t too bad. It kind of reminds me of a Tarantino movie. It kept my interest through most of the movie.

A mystery involving the guests at a Nevada/California Motel....some questions answered, one is not----WHO is in the picture? Twists and turns keep this one interesting, Jeff Bridges turns in a fine performance, also a different kind of role for Chris Hemsworth. Makes a point of the powers of brainwashing on an abused young runaway in a cult surrounding, all in the midst of a good ol' fashioned mystery.

This is one of those multi-talented multi perspective plot oriented thrillers that just wins. John Hamm and Jeff Bridges doing their thing here. Great film!

Hard not to feel like I was watching a Tarantino rip-off here, but Goddard has his own style - more of a tribute to the Tarantino genre. This is really 3-1/2 stars for me - can't do 1/2 stars on BB reviews. Worth a watch, if you're a fan of this type of movie. Great performance by Jeff Bridges, as always - he seems to turn up often as quirky characters in off-beat movies.
