I bought this pizza oven and it cooks the best pizza ever. The grill takes about 15 minutes to heat up over my gas stove and cooked our pizzas in less than 2 minutes! The crusts were perfect and the toppings weren't burnt one lick. Highly recommend.

I had never heard of this type of home unit until I received it to try at home. I was impressed by the concept because we eat a lot of pizza at home. Baking it in our kitchen oven is all good but it never has that fresh restaurant quality to it. This pizza oven box does require a larger footprint of grill area so ideally a 3 or 4 burner is best. I tried it on my relatives 2 burner grill and this wasn't going to fit on it so be sure to know your measurements before purchase. Simply follow the instructions and let the unit preheat and get up to temperature. Slide your pizza in and out it comes in about 5 minutes time. Nicely baked crust and sizzling cheese and toppings. It's pretty close to the restaurant experience from a wood fired pizza restaurant but at my own leisure on my own grill. Great product and easy to use make this a win/win for me.

We tried out the BakerStone gas stove pizza oven yesterday for the first time. Assembly was straightforward and simple, although the screws to attach the pizza turner handle to the spatula part were not included, but finding replacement screws in my garage was easy. We used the pizza oven on our outdoor grill. It took awhile to heat up, but we found that closing the lid on our grill over the pizza oven as far as we could helped speed up the heating process. We also closed the lid when cooking the pizzas to keep the heat as high as possible. The pizzas are limited to about 12 inches in size since that is the width of the pizza oven, but that was fine. We ended up making 6 pizzas with various ingredients and each of them were fully cooked within about 5 minutes. The crust was perfectly cooked every time, crispy on the bottom and sides. The oven gets very hot so its important to keep an eye on the pizzas and turn them 180 degrees when they are about halfway cooked. The included pizza turner was perfect for that purpose, and the included peel was great for getting the pizzas in and out of the oven. Overall, great product and I look forward to making many pizzas outdoors, especially during football season : @@@@@@@

I really dig this pizza oven. First one I have ever owned or used. I have always made pizzas in the oven and occasionally on the grill but the crust is always crunchy and I love a softer crust, now get to enjoy a less crunchy crust if I prefer. The oven was quick to put together and everything seemed strong and solid, well made product. Minimal effort to put it all together as well. Once heated this bad boy takes a few minutes to cook your pizza. Its so fast, be sure to turn your hood on full speed to suck all the heat away. Once done set your burner to high and toast away any bits that might have been left in the oven. Wait a while for it to cool and just tilt it into the trash can to clean it out.We are planning a pizza party and will be letting everyone build their own personal pizza, its that fast that we could even sit down together and eat. Or make a bunch of concoctions and all get to try something new. Can't wait to try out this oven for other cooking options, who knows what can be baked up in this bad boy.

I absolutely love this pizza box! We made homemade pizzas that came out so so good. We all loved them. They cooked so fast too! Once that oven box heats up, its so fast! Just remember to rotate the pizza around because its hotter in the back of the box so one side doesnt come out more crispier than the other sides. We tried the pizza recipe that the instructions had and the pork chops and they were both soo soo good. I have never made homemade bread or crust so I didnt know that kneading the bread by hand was much better than a hand mixer. It says use a stand mixer (which I dont own) so that maybe better, but if you have a hand mixer without the proper bread kneading attachment, it won't work. Your better off kneading by hand. The pork chops were a hit and super delicious. I cant wait to try more meats and veggies with this cooker and making more pizza's! It really is pretty awesome.

    Are you an engineer?

Box came well packed- nothing would move! Amazingly one of the little support bars was bent and twisted. There was no way this was done in transit. Anyway, my brother in law straighted it out- easy fix. So, then came the "putting it together" phase. After a few hours, many cuss words, and an engineering degree, we got it together correctly. So on the stove it goes! We cheated and used a rising crust frozen pizza and it really did a kick-butt job. Crust was perfect, toppings melted perfect- just like out if a pizza oven. So, dinner was a success! Clean up was a bit different. This thing put off heat, which is why you need that fan going. We ended up putting it carefully in the oven to cool down. The pizza stone in my oven is perfectly seasoned and it will take time for these pieces to get seasoned so just a wipe off of the solids! I can't wait to make bread in it! The reason for only 4 stars is the time it took to put together and the heat involved- it heated up my kitchen. I would recommend this as it is fun!

I was excited to try this pizza oven. There was some assembly required, but it was relatively simply to build. The design is quite sturdy and seems as though it would withstand quite a few uses. The oven gets very hot! It can definitely cook a pizza quickly. I made a critical mistake of trying to use gluten free dough to make my pizza. It was just way too sticky to try to launch into the oven. The pizza ended up tearing real bad and I ended up with cheese and sauce all over the stones. That takes me to cleanup....The cleaning instructions are not real exciting. You have to place the gas burner on high and leave it that way for 15 mins, then cool for 90 mins. Once cool you're expected to tip it back over a can to knock the debris and charred carbon into the trash. During the period where I was running it on high it smoked a lot and managed to set off my smoke alarms. Then once it finished the burn-in I had to tip it over a can...It was heavy and unwieldy to do this. At the end of the day I still didn't get all the crud off the stones. I'm likely going to have to dissemble it to clean the stones. And that sucks! It's a fun idea and could definitely cook a pizza quickly. I'm going to give it another go soon with regular pizza crust. But at the end of the day it's probably easier to just buy a ready to go pie vs all the mess and cleanup.

Please read through the directions. The oven is simple enough to put together, but I could see where it might be confusing if you were to simply jump into it thinking, "I've got this!" All items are provided except the screwdriver which tightens the 4 screws holding the top/bottom portions together. Inside this top/bottom are the 4 stones which slide together to make the oven. Very simple design, minimal pieces/parts, yet has a very robust feeling to it. Extremely sturdy and well made for how "simple" it's. Also of note; be sure to treat the stones with a small amount of vegetable oil. A dab on a paper towel, wipe it around, and you're all set. I'd recommend placing the BakeStone on whatever cooking device you plan on using and allowing it to heat up prior to making your pizza(s). However, I'dn't recommend frozen pizza. If you do plan on doing this, allow it (the frozen pizza) to warm up/thaw as the huge change in temperature between the frozen pizza and the hot plates will most certainly increase the odds of a stone eventually cracking. Once up to the 500* range (the third of three areas in the gauge on top of the unit) use the included Pizza Peel (cutting board) to slide your pie in. Be sure to turn it every 45-60 seconds with the included turner. This keeps it from sticking to the base stone as well as providing consistent heat to all 360* of the crust. Once you do one or two you'll get a feel for when your crust is ready without having to pull it all the way out and physically touch it with your fingers. Another element of this whole process that makes it very fun/rewarding. With all that out of the way; excellent results on our first two pizzas. We had just used up our last cauliflower crusts prior to the BakeStone arriving and our local store was out of them, so we went with an organic cornmeal this time around. If your kids are having friends over, it's a great way for them to get involved in the process and then watch as your pie bakes. Heck, you can even hand over the turner and let them handle those duties if you feel they're up to it! Having guests over that appreciate conversation while prepping some food for game/movie night? The BakeStone is an excellent thing to have around for just such occasions.
