Amazing sound! Better than anything I’ve owned. The controls are very sensitive and take a bit to get used to though that pretty much goes with anything these days.

B&O is known for their modern, high-end, but quite expensive speakers and headphones. These 3rd generation Beoplay E8 True Wireless earbuds check off most of the boxes when it comes to features and performance. One feature I was hoping for at this price-point was Active Noise Cancelling which would have been a welcome addition over the 2nd generation earbuds, but unfortunately it is not available. Despite that, they are still pretty good at masking plenty of outside noise by providing a tight, yet comfortable fit inside your ear. The sound quality is crystal clear, well defined, though lacking some bass, but you can adjust that through the App to get a bit more kick.
The touch commands are very useful, intuitive and similar to other less expensive earbuds. I have been pretty satisfied with my Samsung Galaxy Earbuds that cost a lot less, but they're not high-end like the B&O unit. I especially like the volume-up tap and hold on the right side and volume-down tap and hold on the left earbud, as well as the pause, skip forward and go to previous track feature. I had a bit of a hard time with the triple-tap to activate a voice assistant such as Google, but I generally don't use it much. Phone call sound quality is quite good, thanks to the dual microphone setup in both earbuds. Battery life is supposed to have also gotten better from the previous generation, though I have only used them a few hours per day so they never completely drain. I usually just charge them every few days, since it's so easy to do on the same wireless charger I use for my Samsung Galaxy phones. But even if you forget to charge them frequently, the docking case will offer ~ 4 hours of additional charge. All in all, if you can afford it, and like fancy, high-end, European design electronics, with a wonderfully crafted real leather case, these would fit the bill for you, though I was a bit disappointed they are made in China.

The touch controls tend to have you hang up when you are speaking to someone because your earphone is falling out. Decent quality. Worth the money if they stayed in my ear, I’m not really a fully wireless in ear kind of person so maybe you should take my review with a grain of salt.

B&O quality and appearance perhaps. But it ends there. I wanted to like these more than I did. But they were just underwhelming, especially given the price. I just needed a bit more from them indoors, and even more outdoors. I suspect most users will use them predominantly outdoors and that would be a big problem in my opinion. As for the App, it works, it’s nice, but it doesn’t change the output all that much. I guess what I’m trying to say is that these headphones have clarity but they lack oomph! I found myself trying to listen harder which took away from what I was trying listening hear.

Terrible, because Bestbuy system is not particular with the color of the item... we ordered the gray one but when we picked it up it was black. They said both colors has same barcode or item number... so each time you order a different color you will have black... just thankful that the manager tried to fill out a form to fix the problem , but not sure if it’s fix now, hopefully they did.. the product is perfect !!! Just need to raise this issue for future fix.. the item was expensive so they should at least give the customer the color they desire without having problems

The 300-350$ price range true wireless headphones market is starting to get much more crowded. Several high-end audio brand products have been out on the market. You’re starting to see features like active noise canceling and wireless charging cases. Battery life has also started to see some improvements. Beoplay E8 is now on their 3rd gen iteration. Some of the new features are much-improved battery life, Bluetooth 5.1, and additional mics for better voice clarity. This will actually be my first time using a wireless headphone from Bang & Olufsen.
Build Quality:
Top-notch is the word I would use to describe it. The soft premium leather case with chamfered edges reminiscent of an iPhone 5s. The charging case is also capable of being charged wireless. The headphones are held in place securely by strong magnets.
Features:
One of the new features for the 3rd Gen update is Bluetooth 5.1. Signal strength and sound quality are the major improvements. Battery life is excellent with playback up to 7hrs and the case providing an additional 28hrs. Fully charged you get 35hrs of battery life before needing to top off again. For my usage I was getting right around 5-6hrs of battery life. This was a mix usage of Spotify, 3hr conference call and some Hulu video watching. Even though those numbers seem low they’re about twice of what I was getting from my previous headset. Size has been reduced by 17% from the previous generation. Coming in slightly smaller they don’t stick out much and don’t feel like they will fall out any second. With the number of mics being increased by 4 call quality has vastly improved. Mic performance was solid when I asked how I sounded nothing but good praise from co-workers. If you’re out on a jog you get transparency mode that allows you to hear your surroundings for safety. One tap controls are simple enough to master after a couple of times of using them. There is also an app available to download. Some of the extra features you gain are volume and track control, Default, and custom equalizer settings. The app also provides firmware updates for improving performance and controls. Another feature that would have been nice is the ability to customize the one tap controls. I was disappointed to see no active noise cancellation or find your earbuds feature either.
Sound Quality:
They sound great with clear crisp mid’s and treble. They have more of a flat sound so for me bass was the weakness. Some of the songs I use for my testing purposes were Don’t stop me now and Another one bites the Dust. I also threw in some Prince, Micheal Jackson, and the latest stuff like Sicko Mode. Songs like 1999 and Thriller sound clear crisp but lack wide stereo separation. Compared to my previous pair of true wireless headphones the biggest difference that stood out on how much wider those tracks sounded. Another area that I would have liked to have seen more of is bass. Even though there is some bass it to me it doesn’t provide that satisfying thump that makes it stand out on bass heavier songs like Sicko Mode. Even with those 2 small shortcomings, they’re still among my top 5 sounding headphones. If you’re a fan of mainly EDM and Hip Hop music that emphasizes bass you may not be happy with the bass output. If you prefer a more natural flat sound these are the headphones you should consider.
Overall:
If you’re in the market for good battery life, great sound but not expecting ear shattering bass I recommend you give this a pair a hard look. You will have to look past missing features like active noise cancellation and find your earbuds. In return you get a very solid package that performs well on sound, battery life and talk.

Everything from the case, to the design, to the feel and to the sound is outstanding. Controls make sense, which says something for wireless headphones. The case is high quality and makes you realize you have a premium device.
These are by far the best wireless headphones I have owned. They are comfortable, lightweight and you almost forget you are wearing them.
There is a by-pass by touching the left ear piece that allows you to hear the rest of the world without removing them. When I first put them in I did not realize I activated the bypass and though they were not paired.
The app is very simple and straightforward. Nothing more can be said, it does everything you need.
The sound is spot on no matter what you are listening to, with the app you can adjust to your liking.
Battery life is insane. I used an entire work day listening to radio, being on conference calls, etc and still had battery left with no breaks to charge.. The case will recharge the headsets at least two times without recharging it.
My wife could not tell I was using the headset for a mic on a call, so that says a good deal about how well the mic works.
These are the best of the best that I have tried and put most others to shame, especially the ones that protrude from the ear. I like that I do not look like a tool (to keep things PG) wearing these.
Now for what seems minor, but I really appreciate and praise in the design. The left earpiece is on the left and the right is on the right in the case. Why others don't do this baffles me. Well done B&O.
This is a safe bet to be your favorites. I will have a hard time ever trying a different set.
One last note, this uses a USB C charging cable which is included, USB A to USB C cable. I am glad to see peripherals starting to use this as a charging standard.

The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay E8 is a quality set of earbuds. In the box it includes the earbuds, leather wrapped charging case, four sets of ear tips and 1 set of foam tips and the charging cable. Setup was easy I just downloaded the app and paired it to my phone. Initially I had issues with connectivity as it would not connect to my phone each time I took the earbuds out the charging case. I then realized that the earbuds needed an update through the app. After I updated the earbuds they worked perfectly each time. So for all of you having connectivity issues make sure your app is updated. Now for the sound I am loving the E8, highs are clear and bass is punchy without distortion. Another huge plus is the EQ within the app to adjust your sound settings. There are some preset ones and you can also manually change settings which I look for in a pair of earbuds. Nothing worse than being stuck with presets that you can’t change. Now for the fit, they hold snug in my ear. I usually push them in each ear then turn them towards the back of my ears and they lock in. I’ve ran a few miles on the treadmill each morning to test them out and did not have any issues with them falling out. The charging case is another feature I love. It’s wrapped in black leather and completes the whole package making them look premium. It does have the ability to do wireless charging but the charging pad is an optional accessory you can purchase. Battery life is rated at 35 hours I believe and it does have quick charge which provides you with 1.5 hours with 20 minutes of charge. Overall I love listening to music and exercising with them.

The Beoplay E8 is the newest generation of Bang and Olufsen’s truly wireless earbuds.
These 3rd gen buds have a number of improvements, one being battery capacity. The buds themselves have seven hours of listening time before needing a recharge. The charging case provides an additional 28 hours of battery, for a total combined 35 hours capacity.
Charging the case can be accomplished using the included USB-A to USB-C cable, or as is in my case, using a charging pad. I have a dual charging pad that can charge my Samsung phone and the E8 at the same time. Charging time takes about 2.5 hours.
Also new, these buds support Bluetooth V5.1 – which provides for quicker connection initiation and uses less power. These buds support AAC and Qualcomm aptX codecs.
After receiving the E8 and ensuring a full charge, I removed the buds from the charging case and waited a moment for the two ear buds’ status indicators to flash blue. Once flashing, I went to my Samsung Phone’s Bluetooth and selected the Beoplay E8 device. Pairing was super easy and worked seamlessly the first time.
In testing out these buds, I found that the right bud is the master. Essentially, the right bud is required for the left bud to work. With my old buds, I could place the right-side bud back in its charging case and the left side would continue to work. This was handy at times. The fact that the E8 does not support this feature is a non-issue for me, and I mention it simply as an observation.
As an example, there have been times at a doctor visit and found that I needed to remove the right bud from my ear so I could hear if my name were called. Or on the oft chance that I lost or damaged the right bud, it would be nice to be able to continue listening using just the left bud.
Back to the E8, after successfully pairing it, I downloaded the Bang and Olufsen app from Google Play. The B&O app is not extensive, but it has features that enhance your listening experience. First things first, I created a login for the app and then identified which device I was trying to manage. After completing that, I checked the software version and found that a software update was available. After the update was completed, the buds were ready to be used.
Features built into the app includes:
• A battery level display
• An ability to pause, skip forward or backwards
• A volume slide bar
• The ability to choose your preferred listening mode (like
Optimal, More Bass, and others). It also lets you create and
name your own listening mode
• The ability to adjust transparency mode (the app calls it
Surroundings) – which dictates how much ambient noise you
hear while using the buds
• There is also an Automatic Standby feature which, when turned
on, sets the buds into standby mode if 15 minutes pass without
an active source
Tap a bud, or tap and hold, and the buds will do the following:
• To pause music, tap the right earbud once
• To unpause the music, tap the right earbud once again
• To skip to the next track, tap the right earbud twice
• Previous track, tap the left earbud twice
• Increase volume, tap and hold the right earbud
• Decrease volume, tap and hold the left earbud
• Transparency enable/disable, tap the left earbud once to toggle
it on and off
• Incoming call, tap left or right earbuds one time
• Reject a call, hold left or right earbud for 5 seconds
• End a call, tap left or right earbuds twice
ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) is a feature generally expected in high-end units. The E8, however, does not support it. I did find after playing with the included silicone tips that the largest ones provided some reasonable noise isolation. I wore them outside with cars whipping by and found that the ambient noise was pretty distracting. If I wanted to hear more ambient noise in a quieter environment, all I need to do is turn on transparency (see above). I tried wearing the buds while using my treadmill but found that my footfalls were distracting even with transparency set to off.
The app has four settings for transparency, (Off, 1, 2, 3) – with “3” allowing the most ambient noise. Tapping the left bud to turn on transparency while using the buds at home, the app showed that it had toggled transparency from “Off” to “1”. I tested it a second time while outside on a walk, and tapping the left bud caused transparency to toggle from “Off” to “3”.
Bass quality has always been an issue for me. The bass on these buds, however, is super good. That said, I do find that everything sounds better when using the largest silicone tips. By contrast, to me the smaller tips gave everything a tinnier sound.
I ran into an oddity the first time I used my go-to music app, YouTube Music. I started up one of my playlists only to find that the music would pause as soon as my phone’s screen timed-out. I unlocked my phone and the buds started playing again. This odd problem continued even after installing the latest B&O software update.
I’m not sure what I did to resolve this, but it eventually quit happening. I tried numerous things including turning off battery optimization for the apps and clearing storage cache. The thing is, I have never experienced this issue with any other Bluetooth device including my older wireless buds. So odd...
Lastly, these buds sound great on phone calls. Everyone I talked to said they could not tell that I was using a Bluetooth device. I tested this out both inside my house and outside, although the results varied when outside depending on car traffic noises and wind.
All in all, I thought the high points for the E8 was its large capacity battery, its clear phone calls, and its outstanding sound reproduction. I give its bass two thumbs up.
Is the E8 worth the premium price? When using the buds inside in a quiet environment, they blew away my older buds with outstanding sound reproduction. And while using the largest silicone tips helped provide some noise isolation, its lack of Active Noise Cancellation is a noticeable shortcoming.
While I would recommend them for their sound reproduction, I would caution about their lack of ANC.

When my Bang & Olufsen ear phones arrived, I couldn't wait to open the package up and try them out. The packaging was impressive and the leather charging pod was just the perfect touch to introduce these awesome ear phones!
The B&O ear phones are water resistant, have lots of software defined functions including answering calls, play next song, volume up or down, replay last song, pause, etc.
These ear phones are sound adjustable for treble, bass and with 3-modes of transparent, workout and podcast. While listening to podcasts, I noticed a slight hissing noise in the background just enough to hear but not so much as to bother you while listening.
The ear phones are quite comfortable to wear but are not stable/locked in during vigorous exercise.
Battery life is 7-8 hours with the case holding up to 28 hours of charge to refresh the ear phones. Voice isolation is very good with no complaints of background noise. This E-8 v 3.0 pair of ear phones feature the latest Bluetooth 5.1 software.
The quality of the build, sound and battery life are excellent. At $349. these ear phones are great but priced on the high side of the market.

The one good thing about these earbuds is the build quality. The case and earbuds themselves feel like quality. - They fit snug in the ear, but can cause ear fatigue after wearing them for an extensive period. It is easy to pair with your device for first time. However, if you try to pair them with a second device, they won't connect unless you disconnect them from first device. It won't switch over automatically. If you want to listen to one earbud and allow the other to charge, you can only do it with the right earbud in your ear and the left one in the case. If you take out the right earbud and place it in the case, the left earbud will stop playing. Sound quality is decent, but not the best. Highs and Mids are clean, but it’s lacking in Bass. In order to use all of the features and for sound customization, you have to download the app. With the app, the connection kept failing when used with an iPad, but worked when used with an iPhone. I was able to fine tune the sound within the app to get a bit more Bass, but it was still lacking compared to other earbuds. The app also prompt me for a firmware update, which took 15-20 to download and install. My biggest gripe with these earbuds is Bluetooth connectivity. It's not very reliable and buggy. There are times when there is no sound during playback. I have to take them out of my ear, then place them in the case, then take them back out and they would play. I wasn’t sure if it was my device, so I tried it on several other devices and they all had the same issue. I do not recommend this product if you are looking for earbuds with a reliable connection.

This probably the best sound I've heard come out of earbuds. Let's be honest they are small and cant get explosive sound. But B&O has delivered with these. It has a pretty nice accompanying App, but it's limited as apps go. I did get an update to firmware almost immediately so I recommend the app for sure. The battery life is awesome. The bass was ok but they make up for that with amazing clarity. These are a must-have for the true audiophile.

Finding high quality wireless ear buds has always been a problem for me. I have tried and reviewed several different ones but it is always hard to find ones that are comfortable in my ears and work well. These headphones are by far my favorite wireless ear buds I have ever tested. Two great things about them are the microphones/ call quality and the touch controls they have. Making phone calls on wireless ear buds especially in noisy places can be tricky but after some in depth testing these headphones do an AMAZING job. Everyone I made phone calls to, stated that could hear me with no problem no matter what kind of setting I was in or how much background noise there was. I was very impressed with the call quality. The second great feature is the touch controls. They work seamlessly and easily without much effort. They allow you to do almost anything you would need to include change volume, answer and end calls, play/pause music and many more. They come with 5 different tips for different ear types and the fitment in my ear was perfect. Battery life is amazing stand alone and the charging case adds even more overall battery life. The charging case has a leather and high quality design and I love that it is able to wireless charge or charge via USB-C. These are high quality and premium ear buds and they do come with a price. However, they are well worth it and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great pair of headphones.

I have always admired the Bang & Olafsen brand and this is my first opportunity to really use one of their products and I was not let down. I have tried many different in-ear true wireless headphones and these might just be the best one's I've used.
They come in a very nice leather case that charges via the included USB-C cable or wirelessly. Even the charging cable is high quality. As I let them charge I downloaded the B&O app and let then set them up with my iphone which was an absolute breeze to do. The app is easy to use and gives options to adjust the sound as well as great tutorials for the setup of the buds.
It comes with multiple earpiece options but the ones that came attached worked perfectly for me. Once set up I blasted some music and fell in love with the sound. Everything sounded as it should, bass was great, mids and lows weren't too high, just perfect. The controls are very simple to use and the noise cancellation is outstanding. I have Airpod Pro's and I find the B&O's to be a much better experience.
I do sales and have been working from home and I keep one of these in my ear at all times to take calls and listen to light music while working. Calls sound great and everyone can hear me perfectly. The battery life is phenomenal as well.
Now my only problem is that I want some Bang & Olafsen speakers in my home since these headphones are so amazing.

Overall, the B&F Beoplay E8 third-generation headphones are a great product. I have enjoyed using them with few gripes.
PROS:
BUILD QUALITY – Overall, the build quality of this product is impressive. From the buds themselves to the carrying case, these genuinely feel like what you would expect given the cost.
WIRELESS CHARGING – If you have a Qi charging pad lying around to charge your phone, you are in luck! The charging case can charge wirelessly. This makes the E8 third-gen an excellent and truly wireless solution.
USB-C – I am all about having devices that utilize USB-C. It simplifies my life, especially when traveling, by reducing the number of cables I must lug around. The charging case can be powered via an included USB-C cable.
CONS:
FIT – The fit is not perfect. After trying a variety of the included ear tips, I could never find a perfect fit. With that said, the fits feel comfortable, but the buds do not seem to stay in my ears.
SOUND – The app that you can download can adjust equalizer settings to an extent. While this capability does allow to adjust the sound based on your preferences, the buds cannot achieve a deep base that I hear on other (less expensive) true wireless buds.
SUMMARY:
If you are looking for a true wireless solution, with generally reasonable sound quality, and the ability to charge wirelessly, the Beoplay E8 should be something worth checking out. I would say to look for deals because it might be hard to justify its full retail price.

With so many items out there trying to be the "next" AirPods, this might be the one that comes pretty close.
- Simple, Elegant, and quality charging case. Very easy to put the ear-buds back in to recharge, and a simple USB-C charging cable to use to charge the case.
- Ear pieces, are extremely light weight, and relatively small compared to other brands. Soft in the ear, but still fit tightly
- Easy to pair, to your devices and up and going in just seconds.
- Stay in place while wearing them... I have now used these on about 10 Peloton Biking sessions, and they haven't fallen out... and if you have used a spin bike, you know you get some serious head motion going.
- Clear and loud sound (when wanted) to the music or voices coming through them.
High Quality, easy to use, great option for in-ear wireless headphones
