I bought this for my boys and yhey enjoy it immensely. They are treasure hunters and find all kinds of this when we go anywhere. Easy to use and is fairly accurate.

Returned the item, it’s not worthy. The dial is not set to zero and keeps on moving even I have not placed the batteries. Sensitivity is abnormal and it’s hard to determine the type of metal. I will try another model maybe digital next time.

My 3rd day with it i found a safe buried in a creek. If its under this affordable powerhouses nose the barska pro edition metal detector will smell it. I've found a safe, 2 pistols, a model t buried in an embankment. By far my favorite hobbie.
