    Decent Batman Game

I love both Arkham Asylum and City, but this game is decent at best. Don't get me wrong, its still a fun game to play, but to me it really never should have been made. It uses the same map of arkham city just with another area added with a long bridge to navigate. The game has some bugs and glitches along with choppy framerate. Boss battles are OK (Deathstroke battle was awesome and challenging). Overall, the game is fun but average at best, Warner bros could have just waited for rocksteady, who is making the awesome looking Arkham Knight for next gen systems.

The gameplay is fun, just like the other Arkham titles. However, I have not yet finished the game (still enjoying the storyline, etc.) If it's like th ending Arkham Asylum (which I found not to be challenging enough), then my scores would be lower. SIDE NOTE...GAME DEVELOPERS: Keep up good content like this, but make the foes a bit more challenging: such as, maybe you need weapon B to defeat foe F, you can get to foe F but if you don't have weapon B then you can't win the fight and need to return. Don't fully "guide" the player through the gameplay!

...I purchased this game because it was advertising that it came with a free steel book. I order it online and chose pickup at store. Went to pick up, inspected my product that I purchased. Oh no Big dent and defective steel book. Doesn't close properly. Asked the gentleman behind the counter is there another one. BB reps says "let me check" 1 second "NO". Can I wait for a undamaged one and exchanged he screamed at "what do you want it is for FREE!"

The jump from Arkham Asylum to Arkham City was amazing. The jump from the latter to Arkham Origins was unimpressive. It felt like Arkham City just added some missions as far as gameplay and weapons. The storyline just didn't meet my expectations. I was led to believe that this was the beginning for Batman, but most of the villains already knew who he was and vice versa. The change in voice actors bothered me. I don't mean to sound so negative...it was a fun game and I did enjoy playing through it, but I just hoped for much more.

After reading all the harsh reviews, I was pretty skeptical on picking up the first Arkham game without Rockstead at the creation table. But after seeing how cheap it was on Black Friday, I said what the hay. And wow, am I pleasantly surprised. This game is incredible! It's every bit as addicting as Arkham Asylum was and every bit as stunning as Arkham City was. And the audition of a multiplayer feature should keep you gaming for a very long time to come. So do yourself a favor and splurge on this gem, you won't regret it.

Batman arkham origins is an amazing prequel to the arkham trilogy the voice acting is top notch, the storyline gets better, the graphics were stunning to see, the combat was pretty much the same as in other arkham games but it added a few more finisher moves, the gadgets were the same with some improvements and new gadgets never seen before, and the gameplay was amazing from hunting down all the assassins to solving all the crime scenes which were amazing to do, overall this game stunned me and i am glad i preordered it

I own and love both of the previous games but this one is a disappointment. I know that they were going for a younger, rough around the edges Batman but the controls ruin the gameplay. There is a rough transition between enemies so when fighting a group, punches go wide and you get nailed. More times than not, Batman just continued to punch the empty air until I stopped fighting all together. The fun was in the continuous flow from one enemy to another. This game lacks that finesse and makes for a frustrating time.

The gameplay is pretty much the same as in previous Arkham games, no better but no worse. The story is pretty good, on par with the first two. Although the voice actors are different they still play their parts well. My only complaint really is simply Dark knight Challenges can be annoying to complete and due to a glitch that caused corrupted save files one costume was removed with no substitute. The costume had been a reward for completing a specific task and no replacement reward was ever implemented.

Its a great game for the series and adds some new equipment that adds some new combat moves. The story is awesome as well as the graphics. The game can be annoyingly challenging for some of the random fights at higher difficulty. The biggest drawback is after you complete everything the game loses most replayability, and can be a little glitchy. If your a fan of the series its worth getting or at least renting. It has multiplayer online features as well but I have not done much of this after beating the game.

I will start by saying I loved the two games that came before this one. While this one was great too, I didn't feel like the story had the same pizazz as the others. I would compare it to the Dark Knight trilogy. The first was totally unexpected showed all the potential that the series had. The second was much better and totally engrossing. The third was fun and entertaining, but it was more of the same. It also didn't hold my attention as well as the last two. Definitely a great game though.

If you like Batman, and you liked the previous entries to the series, then you'll like this one...you just won't like it as much. The replacements for Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill do a good job, and the rest of the cast are pretty good. The story is certainly the best part of the game. Most everything else is pretty much the same as previous entries; fights against multiple enemies, boss fights, almost impossible Riddler puzzles. Bottom line, if you can get it cheap, it is worth your money.

A few years ago a friend turned me on to the Arkham series of Batman games. I have loved all of them so far. They never disappoint! The story line is always very dark making for an amazing gaming experience. They also add in villains that aren't very well known. The combat is easy to master and is very cool to watch. Batman's gadgets are very fun to use too. This game is amazing! I hope they continue with the Arkham series. I will continue to buy them as long as they are produced.

While overall not of the same caliber as Arkham City, Arkham Origins is a nice addition to the game series. The addition of the batcave and fast-travel is nice, and I much prefer this game's version of the Riddler puzzles over previous entries. However, the story-telling leaves a bit to be desired. I will say that the boss fights are well done and the challenges are pretty fun too. I haven't messed with multiplayer much, so I don't have anything to say about it at this point.

If you like the other two arkham titles you will like this one too. You cant tell they had a new game developer develop this one. You can hardly tell the difference of the new voice actors. Some of the boss fights are great and some are disappointing. There is more detective crime scene stuff which is good because Batman is suppose to be the "worlds greatest detective." This adds a new multiplayer game thats entertaining enough.

The graphics on this game are nothing short of amazing. As a non-gamer, I purchased this game for my 17 year-old daughter. Sometimes when she takes control of our flat screen, I sit with a cup of hot tea and just watch her play. The entire game takes place on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so it's really neat to watch all that frosty Batman action while being nice and cozy. The game keeps her enthralled for scores of hours as it is really quite difficult to master.

I am a huge Batman fan! I own/have played both previous "Batman Arkham," games. I really like them as well, so when this prequel came out I felt I had to get it. I am very pleased with this new addition to the Batman Arkham series of games. The game controls are very good and the graphics as well as the storyline is done very well. I couldn't be happier with this game!! If your a Batman fan and love a good storyline and graphics then you need to pick this game up!

If you played the last two games in this series than you already know what your getting into. This is more of the same and thats a GOOD thing. I loved every second of the game, from the story to the setting to the mood of flying around gotham on Christmas Eve in a snow storm catching bad guys. If you enjoyed the first two games in this series, I promise you wont be dissapointed in this one either! I actually found it to be the most enjoyable of the three!

Arkham Origins is an excellent prequel to the first two games -- Asylum and City. However, I was expecting it to be more like the movie counterpart "Batman Begins," in which we see the evolution of Bruce Wayne into Batman, including when he first begins fighting crime in Gotham City with his own homemade gear before he is equipped by Wayne Enterprises. This is the only criticism I have. Also, the Assassins are awesome opponents.

If you're a fan of the other Arkham games, then this game is for you. It;s not quite as long or powerful of a story as Arkham City, but as far as detective modes, gadgets, the story, and unlockables, it feels fresh. Don't let other game reviews fool you. Yes, the fighting takes more time to get used to than the previous arkham games - but remember - this is a prequel, so it should be tougher. Batman isn't as well known or as pro just quite yet.

Many review sites say that it's all the same, but thats not a bad thing. The graphics are a bit better, the city is amazing looking, and the story to me is lots better than the first two arkham games, the combat is just as good if not better than before, and the story has one major twist that i did not see coming, the story itself will run you about 12 hours, about 30 to complete everything. overall this is a great batman game before next-gen
